      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">in</strongs>his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>, I shall <strongs number="6258">now</strongs><strongs number="5595">perish</strongs><strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>by the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>: <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">nothing</strongs><strongs number="2896">better</strongs>for me <strongs number="3588">than</strongs>that I should speedily <strongs number="4422 4422">escape</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>; and <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>shall <strongs number="2976">despair</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>me, to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>me any <strongs number="5750">more</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">any</strongs><strongs number="1366">coast</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>: so shall I <strongs number="4422">escape</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>, and <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>passed <strongs number="5674">over</strongs>with the <strongs number="8337">six</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him <strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="397">Achish</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="4582">Maoch</strongs>, <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs><strongs number="397">Achish</strongs>at <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>and his <strongs number="376">men</strongs>, every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>with his <strongs number="1004">household</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>with his <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="802">wives</strongs>, <strongs number="293">Ahinoam</strongs>the <strongs number="3159">Jezreelitess</strongs>, and <strongs number="26">Abigail</strongs>the <strongs number="3761">Carmelitess</strongs>, <strongs number="5037">Nabal</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And it was <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>was <strongs number="1272">fled</strongs>to <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>: and he <strongs number="1245">sought</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="3254">again</strongs>for him. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="397">Achish</strongs>, <strongs number="518">If</strongs>I have <strongs number="4994">now</strongs><strongs number="4672">found</strongs><strongs number="2580">grace</strongs>in thine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, let them <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>me a <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>in <strongs number="259">some</strongs><strongs number="5892">town</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">country</strongs>, that I may <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>: for <strongs number="4100">why</strongs>should thy <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="4467">royal</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thee? </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Then <strongs number="397">Achish</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>him <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6860">Ziklag</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>: <strongs number="3651">wherefore</strongs><strongs number="6860">Ziklag</strongs><strongs number="1961">pertaineth</strongs>unto the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="3117">time</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">country</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="4557">full</strongs><strongs number="3117">year</strongs>and <strongs number="702">four</strongs><strongs number="2320">months</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>and his <strongs number="376">men</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="6584 413">invaded</strongs>the <strongs number="1651">Geshurites</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1511">Gezrites</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6003">Amalekites</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="2007">those</strongs><em> nations </em><em> were </em>of <strongs number="834 4480 5769">old</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, as thou <strongs number="935">goest</strongs>to <strongs number="7793">Shur</strongs>, even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>

And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">Against</strongs>the <strongs number="5045">south</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="5045">south</strongs>of the <strongs number="3397">Jerahmeelites</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">against</strongs>the <strongs number="5045">south</strongs>of the <strongs number="7017">Kenites</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="2421">saved</strongs><strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>nor <strongs number="802">woman</strongs>alive, to <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><em> tidings </em>to <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="6435">Lest</strongs>they should <strongs number="5046">tell</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>us, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">So</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, and <strongs number="3541">so</strongs><em> will </em><em> be </em>his <strongs number="4941">manner</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">while</strongs>he <strongs number="3427">dwelleth</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">country</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="397">Achish</strongs><strongs number="539">believed</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, He hath made his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>utterly to <strongs number="887 887">abhor</strongs>him; therefore he shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>my <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs>. </verse>
