      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="8050">Samuel</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I have <strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs>unto your <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>ye <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto me, and have made a <strongs number="4427 4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>you. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1980">walketh</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>you: and <strongs number="589">I</strongs>am <strongs number="2204">old</strongs>and <strongs number="7867">grayheaded</strongs>; and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, my <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>you: and <strongs number="589">I</strongs>have <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>you from my <strongs number="4480 5271">childhood</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='4'>And they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Thou hast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6231">defrauded</strongs>us, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="7533">oppressed</strongs>us, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>hast thou <strongs number="3947">taken</strongs><strongs number="3972">aught</strongs>of any man's <strongs number="4480 3027 376">hand</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='7'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore stand <strongs number="3320">still</strongs>, that I may <strongs number="8199">reason</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>you <strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the righteous <strongs number="6666">acts</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="854">to</strongs>you and <strongs number="854">to</strongs>your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="834">When</strongs><strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>was <strongs number="935">come</strongs>into <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, and your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs><strongs number="2199">cried</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, then the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>, which brought <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 4714">Egypt</strongs>, and made them <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And when they <strongs number="7911">forgot</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, he <strongs number="4376">sold</strongs>them into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="5516">Sisera</strongs>, <strongs number="8269">captain</strongs>of the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>of <strongs number="2674">Hazor</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="4124">Moab</strongs>, and they <strongs number="3898">fought</strongs>against them. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And they <strongs number="2199">cried</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, We have <strongs number="2398">sinned</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>we have <strongs number="5800">forsaken</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and have <strongs number="5647">served</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1168">Baalim</strongs>and <strongs number="6252">Ashtaroth</strongs>: but <strongs number="6258">now</strongs><strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs>us out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of our <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and we will <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3378">Jerubbaal</strongs>, and <strongs number="917">Bedan</strongs>, and <strongs number="3316">Jephthah</strongs>, and <strongs number="8050">Samuel</strongs>, and <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>you out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of your <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>on every <strongs number="4480 5439">side</strongs>, and ye <strongs number="3427">dwelled</strongs><strongs number="983">safe</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And when ye <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="5176">Nahash</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="5983">Ammon</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>you, ye <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto me, <strongs number="3808">Nay</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>a <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>shall <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>us: when the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>your <strongs number="430">God</strongs><em> was </em>your <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="834">whom</strongs>ye have <strongs number="977">chosen</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="834">whom</strongs>ye have <strongs number="7592">desired</strongs>! and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="5414">set</strongs>a <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>you. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="518">If</strongs>ye will <strongs number="3372">fear</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>him, and <strongs number="8085">obey</strongs>his <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>rebel <strongs number="4784">against</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6310">commandment</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, then shall <strongs number="1571">both</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs>and <strongs number="1571">also</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigneth</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>you <strongs number="1961">continue</strongs><strongs number="310">following</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>your <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs>ye will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">obey</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, but rebel <strongs number="4784">against</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6310">commandment</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, then shall the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs>against you, as <em> it </em><em> was </em>against your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs><strongs number="1571">therefore</strongs><strongs number="3320">stand</strongs>and <strongs number="7200">see</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>before your <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><em> Is </em><em> it </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2406">wheat</strongs><strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs><strongs number="3117">today</strongs>? I will <strongs number="7121">call</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and he shall <strongs number="5414">send</strongs><strongs number="6963">thunder</strongs>and <strongs number="4306">rain</strongs>; that ye may <strongs number="3045">perceive</strongs>and <strongs number="7200">see</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>your <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="7227">great</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>ye have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, in <strongs number="7592">asking</strongs>you a <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>So <strongs number="8050">Samuel</strongs><strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5414">sent</strongs><strongs number="6963">thunder</strongs>and <strongs number="4306">rain</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3966">greatly</strongs><strongs number="3372">feared</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>and <strongs number="8050">Samuel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="8050">Samuel</strongs>, <strongs number="6419">Pray</strongs><strongs number="1157">for</strongs>thy <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, that we <strongs number="4191">die</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>we have <strongs number="3254">added</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>our <strongs number="2403">sins</strongs><em> this </em><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, to <strongs number="7592">ask</strongs>us a <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="8050">Samuel</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="3372">Fear</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>: <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>: <strongs number="389">yet</strongs>turn not <strongs number="408 5493">aside</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 310">following</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, but <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>your <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And turn ye not <strongs number="3808 5493">aside</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><em> then </em><em> should </em><em> ye </em><em> go </em><strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="8414">vain</strongs><em> things </em>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="3808">cannot</strongs><strongs number="3276">profit</strongs><strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1992">they</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="8414">vain</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5203">forsake</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>for his <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="8034">name</strongs>'s <strongs number="5668">sake</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>it hath <strongs number="2974">pleased</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">make</strongs>you his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="1571">Moreover</strongs>as for <strongs number="595">me</strongs>, God <strongs number="486">forbid</strongs>that I should <strongs number="4480 2398">sin</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>in <strongs number="4480 2308">ceasing</strongs>to <strongs number="6419">pray</strongs><strongs number="1157">for</strongs>you: but I will <strongs number="3384">teach</strongs>you the <strongs number="2896">good</strongs>and the <strongs number="3477">right</strongs><strongs number="1870">way</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="389">Only</strongs><strongs number="3372">fear</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>him in <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>your <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="7200">consider</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="834">how</strongs>great <em> things </em>he hath <strongs number="1431">done</strongs><strongs number="5973">for</strongs>you. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs>ye shall still do <strongs number="7489 7489">wickedly</strongs>, ye shall be <strongs number="5595">consumed</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">both</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="1571">and</strongs>your <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
