      <verse number='1'><strongs number="3450">My</strongs><strongs number="80">brethren</strongs>, <strongs number="1096">be</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs><strongs number="4183">many</strongs><strongs number="1320">masters</strongs>, <strongs number="1492">knowing</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs>we shall <strongs number="2983">receive</strongs>the <strongs number="3187">greater</strongs><strongs number="2917">condemnation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>in many <strongs number="4183">things</strongs>we <strongs number="4417">offend</strongs><strongs number="537">all</strongs>. If any <strongs number="1536">man</strongs><strongs number="4417">offend</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="3056">word</strongs>, the <strongs number="3778">same</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="5046">perfect</strongs><strongs number="435">man</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="1415">able</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>to <strongs number="5468">bridle</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3650">whole</strongs><strongs number="4983">body</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="2400">Behold</strongs>, we <strongs number="906">put</strongs><strongs number="5469">bits</strongs><strongs number="1519">in</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2462">horses</strongs>' <strongs number="4750">mouths</strongs>, that <strongs number="846">they</strongs>may <strongs number="3982">obey</strongs><strongs number="2254">us</strongs>; <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>we turn <strongs number="3329">about</strongs><strongs number="846">their</strongs><strongs number="3650">whole</strongs><strongs number="4983">body</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="2400">Behold</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4143">ships</strongs>, which though <em> they <strongs number="*5607">be</strongs></em>so <strongs number="5082">great</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="1643">driven</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="4642">fierce</strongs><strongs number="417">winds</strongs>, yet are they turned <strongs number="3329">about</strongs><strongs number="5259">with</strongs>a very <strongs number="1646">small</strongs><strongs number="4079">helm</strongs>, <strongs number="3699 302">whithersoever</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3730 2116">governor</strongs><strongs number="1014">listeth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="2532">Even</strongs><strongs number="3779">so</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1100">tongue</strongs><strongs number="2076">is</strongs>a <strongs number="3398">little</strongs><strongs number="3196">member</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>boasteth great <strongs number="3166">things</strongs>. <strongs number="2400">Behold</strongs>, how <strongs number="2245">great</strongs>a <strongs number="5208">matter</strongs>a <strongs number="3641">little</strongs><strongs number="4442">fire</strongs><strongs number="381">kindleth</strongs>! </verse>

      <verse number='7'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="5449">kind</strongs>of <strongs number="2342">beasts</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>of <strongs number="4071">birds</strongs>, <strongs number="5037">and</strongs>of <strongs number="2062">serpents</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>of things in the <strongs number="1724">sea</strongs>, is <strongs number="1150">tamed</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>hath been <strongs number="1150">tamed</strongs>of <strongs number="442 5449">mankind</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1100">tongue</strongs><strongs number="1410">can</strongs><strongs number="3762">no</strongs><strongs number="444">man</strongs><strongs number="1150">tame</strongs>; <em> it </em><em> is </em>an <strongs number="183">unruly</strongs><strongs number="2556">evil</strongs>, <strongs number="3324">full</strongs>of <strongs number="2287">deadly</strongs><strongs number="2447">poison</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="1722 846">Therewith</strongs><strongs number="2127">bless</strongs>we <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">even</strongs>the <strongs number="3962">Father</strongs>; <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="1722 846">therewith</strongs><strongs number="2672">curse</strongs>we <strongs number="444">men</strongs>, which are <strongs number="1096">made</strongs><strongs number="2596">after</strongs>the <strongs number="3669">similitude</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="1537">Out</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="846">same</strongs><strongs number="4750">mouth</strongs><strongs number="1831">proceedeth</strongs><strongs number="2129">blessing</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2671">cursing</strongs>. <strongs number="3450">My</strongs><strongs number="80">brethren</strongs>, these <strongs number="5023">things</strongs><strongs number="5534">ought</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="3779">so</strongs>to <strongs number="1096">be</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="*3385">Doth</strongs>a <strongs number="4077">fountain</strongs>send <strongs number="1032">forth</strongs><strongs number="1537">at</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="846">same</strongs><strongs number="3692">place</strongs><strongs number="1099">sweet</strongs><em> water </em><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="4089">bitter</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="*3361"></strongs><strongs number="1410">Can</strongs>the fig <strongs number="4808">tree</strongs>, <strongs number="3450">my</strongs><strongs number="80">brethren</strongs>, <strongs number="4160">bear</strongs>olive <strongs number="1636">berries</strongs>? <strongs number="2228">either</strongs>a <strongs number="288">vine</strongs>, <strongs number="4810">figs</strongs>? <strongs number="3779">so</strongs><em> can </em><strongs number="3762">no</strongs><strongs number="4077">fountain</strongs>both <strongs number="4160">yield</strongs><strongs number="252">salt</strongs><strongs number="5204">water</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="1099">fresh</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs>ye <strongs number="2192">have</strongs><strongs number="4089">bitter</strongs><strongs number="2205">envying</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2052">strife</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="2588">hearts</strongs>, <strongs number="2620">glory</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="5574">lie</strongs>not <strongs number="2596">against</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="225">truth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="3778">This</strongs><strongs number="4678">wisdom</strongs><strongs number="2718">descendeth</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>from <strongs number="509">above</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1919">earthly</strongs>, <strongs number="5591">sensual</strongs>, <strongs number="1141">devilish</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="3699">where</strongs><strongs number="2205">envying</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2052">strife</strongs><em> is, </em><strongs number="1563">there</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="181">confusion</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="5337">evil</strongs><strongs number="4229">work</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4678">wisdom</strongs>that is from <strongs number="509">above</strongs><strongs number="2076">is</strongs><strongs number="4412 3303">first</strongs><strongs number="53">pure</strongs>, <strongs number="1899">then</strongs><strongs number="1516">peaceable</strongs>, <strongs number="1933">gentle</strongs>, <em> and </em>easy to be <strongs number="2138">entreated</strongs>, <strongs number="3324">full</strongs>of <strongs number="1656">mercy</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="18">good</strongs><strongs number="2590">fruits</strongs>, without <strongs number="87">partiality</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>without <strongs number="505">hypocrisy</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="1161">And</strongs>the <strongs number="2590">fruit</strongs>of <strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>is <strongs number="4687">sown</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="1515">peace</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">them</strongs>that <strongs number="4160">make</strongs><strongs number="1515">peace</strongs>. </verse>
