      <verse number='1'>Then <strongs number="935">came</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <em> even </em>the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>, into the <strongs number="4057">desert</strongs>of <strongs number="6790">Zin</strongs>in the <strongs number="7223">first</strongs><strongs number="2320">month</strongs>: and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3427">abode</strongs>in <strongs number="6946">Kadesh</strongs>; and <strongs number="4813">Miriam</strongs><strongs number="4191">died</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, and was <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="4325">water</strongs>for the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>: and they gathered themselves <strongs number="6950">together</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>and <strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7378">chided</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Would <strongs number="3863">God</strongs>that we had <strongs number="1478">died</strongs>when our <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs><strongs number="1478">died</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>! </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="4100">why</strongs>have ye brought <strongs number="935">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6951">congregation</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">Lord</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>, that <strongs number="587">we</strongs>and our <strongs number="1165">cattle</strongs>should <strongs number="4191">die</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And <strongs number="4100">wherefore</strongs>have ye made us to come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 4714">Egypt</strongs>, to bring us <strongs number="935 *853">in</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>? it <em> is </em><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>of <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs>, or of <strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, or of <strongs number="1612">vines</strongs>, or of <strongs number="7416">pomegranates</strongs>; <strongs number="369">neither</strongs><em> is </em>there any <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>to <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs><strongs number="935">went</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 6440">presence</strongs>of the <strongs number="6951">assembly</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="6607">door</strongs>of the <strongs number="168">tabernacle</strongs>of the <strongs number="4150">congregation</strongs>, and they <strongs number="5307">fell</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>their <strongs number="6440">faces</strongs>: and the <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="3947">Take</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4294">rod</strongs>, and gather thou the assembly <strongs number="6950 *853 5712">together</strongs>, <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>, and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>thy <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>, and <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs>ye <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>before their <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>; and it shall give <strongs number="5414">forth</strongs>his <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>, and thou shalt bring <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>to them <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>: so thou shalt give <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>and their <strongs number="1165">beasts</strongs><strongs number="8248">drink</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>gathered the congregation <strongs number="6950 *853 6951">together</strongs><strongs number="413 6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>, and he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, <strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs><strongs number="4994">now</strongs>, ye <strongs number="4784">rebels</strongs>; must we <strongs number="3318">fetch</strongs>you <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>lifted <strongs number="7311">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and with his <strongs number="4294">rod</strongs>he <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs><strongs number="6471">twice</strongs>: and the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>came <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="7227">abundantly</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs><strongs number="8354">drank</strongs>, and their <strongs number="1165">beasts</strongs><em> also </em>. </verse>

      <verse number='13'><strongs number="1992">This</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>of <strongs number="4809">Meribah</strongs>; <strongs number="834">because</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="7378">strove</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and he was <strongs number="6942">sanctified</strongs>in them. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="4397">messengers</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6946">Kadesh</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>thy <strongs number="251">brother</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><strongs number="3045">knowest</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8513">travail</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>hath <strongs number="4672">befallen</strongs>us: </verse>
      <verse number='15'>How our <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>into <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, and we have <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>in <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>a <strongs number="7227">long</strongs><strongs number="3117">time</strongs>; and the <strongs number="4714">Egyptians</strongs><strongs number="7489">vexed</strongs>us, and our <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And when we <strongs number="6817">cried</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, he <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>our <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>an <strongs number="4397">angel</strongs>, and hath brought us <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 4714">Egypt</strongs>: and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="587">we</strongs><em> are </em>in <strongs number="6946">Kadesh</strongs>, a <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>in the <strongs number="7097">uttermost</strongs>of thy <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='17'>Let us <strongs number="5674">pass</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, through thy <strongs number="776">country</strongs>: we will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>pass <strongs number="5674">through</strongs>the <strongs number="7704">fields</strongs>, or through the <strongs number="3754">vineyards</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>will we <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><em> of </em>the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>of the <strongs number="875">wells</strongs>: we will <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>by the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <em> high </em><strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, we will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5186">turn</strongs>to the right <strongs number="3225">hand</strongs>nor to the <strongs number="8040">left</strongs>, <strongs number="5704 834">until</strongs>we have <strongs number="5674">passed</strongs>thy <strongs number="1366">borders</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, Thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5674">pass</strongs>by me, <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>I come <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="7125">against</strongs>thee with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, We will <strongs number="5927">go</strongs>by the high <strongs number="4546">way</strongs>: and <strongs number="518">if</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs>and my <strongs number="4735">cattle</strongs><strongs number="8354">drink</strongs>of thy <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>, then I will <strongs number="5414 4377">pay</strongs>for it: I will <strongs number="7535">only</strongs>, <strongs number="369">without</strongs><em> doing </em>any <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><em> else </em>, go <strongs number="5674">through</strongs>on my <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>go <strongs number="5674">through</strongs>. And <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs>came <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="7125">against</strongs>him with <strongs number="3515">much</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and with a <strongs number="2389">strong</strongs><strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>Thus <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs><strongs number="3985">refused</strongs>to <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="5674">passage</strongs>through his <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>: wherefore <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>turned <strongs number="5186">away</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <em> even </em>the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>, <strongs number="5265">journeyed</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6946">Kadesh</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">came</strongs>unto <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="2023">Hor</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>in <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="2023">Hor</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">by</strongs>the <strongs number="1366">coast</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>shall be <strongs number="622">gathered</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="935">enter</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="5921 834">because</strongs>ye rebelled <strongs number="4784">against</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="6310">word</strongs>at the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>of <strongs number="4809">Meribah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'><strongs number="3947">Take</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>and <strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, and bring them <strongs number="5927 *853">up</strongs>unto <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="2023">Hor</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='26'>And <strongs number="6584">strip</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>of his <strongs number="899">garments</strongs>, and put them <strongs number="3847">upon</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>: and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>shall be <strongs number="622">gathered</strongs><em> unto </em><em> his </em><em> people </em>, and shall <strongs number="4191">die</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='28'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="6584">stripped</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>of his <strongs number="899">garments</strongs>, and put them <strongs number="3847 *853">upon</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>; and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs><strongs number="4191">died</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>in the <strongs number="7218">top</strongs>of the <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs>: and <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>and <strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>came <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'>And when <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>was <strongs number="1478">dead</strongs>, they <strongs number="1058">mourned</strongs>for <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs><strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
