      <verse number='1'>And when the <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><strongs number="2320">month</strongs>was <strongs number="5060">come</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><em> were </em>in the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>, the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>gathered themselves <strongs number="622">together</strongs>as <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Then stood <strongs number="6965">up</strongs><strongs number="3442">Jeshua</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3136">Jozadak</strongs>, and his <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, and <strongs number="2216">Zerubbabel</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7597">Shealtiel</strongs>, and his <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>, and <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>of the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, to <strongs number="5927">offer</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereon</strongs>, as <em> it </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3789">written</strongs>in the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>of <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And they <strongs number="3559">set</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>his <strongs number="4350">bases</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="367">fear</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them because of the <strongs number="4480 5971">people</strongs>of those <strongs number="776">countries</strongs>: and they <strongs number="5927">offered</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereon</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <em> even </em>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs><strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>and <strongs number="6153">evening</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>They <strongs number="6213">kept</strongs>also <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2282">feast</strongs>of <strongs number="5521">tabernacles</strongs>, as <em> it </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3789">written</strongs>, and <em> offered </em>the <strongs number="3117 3117">daily</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>by <strongs number="4557">number</strongs>, according to the <strongs number="4941">custom</strongs>, as the <strongs number="1697">duty</strongs>of every <strongs number="3117 3117">day</strongs>required; </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And <strongs number="310">afterward</strongs><em> offered </em>the <strongs number="8548">continual</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>, both of the new <strongs number="2320">moons</strongs>, and of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the set <strongs number="4150">feasts</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>that were <strongs number="6942">consecrated</strongs>, and of every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>that willingly <strongs number="5068">offered</strongs>a freewill <strongs number="5071">offering</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>From the first <strongs number="4480 3117 259">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><strongs number="2320">month</strongs><strongs number="2490">began</strongs>they to <strongs number="5927">offer</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. But the <strongs number="3245">foundation</strongs>of the <strongs number="1964">temple</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>was <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><em> yet </em>laid. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>They <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="3701">money</strongs>also unto the <strongs number="2672">masons</strongs>, and to the <strongs number="2796">carpenters</strongs>; and <strongs number="3978">meat</strongs>, and <strongs number="4960">drink</strongs>, and <strongs number="8081">oil</strongs>, unto them of <strongs number="6722">Zidon</strongs>, and to them of <strongs number="6876">Tyre</strongs>, to <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="730">cedar</strongs><strongs number="6086">trees</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>of <strongs number="3305">Joppa</strongs>, according to the <strongs number="7558">grant</strongs>that they had of <strongs number="3566">Cyrus</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="6539">Persia</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Now in the <strongs number="8145">second</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of their <strongs number="935">coming</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>at <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, in the <strongs number="8145">second</strongs><strongs number="2320">month</strongs>, <strongs number="2490">began</strongs><strongs number="2216">Zerubbabel</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7597">Shealtiel</strongs>, and <strongs number="3442">Jeshua</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3136">Jozadak</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of their <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>they that were <strongs number="935">come</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 7628">captivity</strongs>unto <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>; and <strongs number="5975">appointed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>, from twenty years <strongs number="4480 1121 6242 8141">old</strongs>and <strongs number="4605">upward</strongs>, to <strongs number="5329">set</strongs><strongs number="5921">forward</strongs>the <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Then <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="3442">Jeshua</strongs><em> with </em>his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>and his <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>, <strongs number="6934">Kadmiel</strongs>and his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="259">together</strongs>, to <strongs number="5329">set</strongs><strongs number="5921">forward</strongs>the <strongs number="6213 4399">workmen</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="2582">Henadad</strongs>, <em> with </em>their <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>and their <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And when the <strongs number="1129">builders</strongs>laid the <strongs number="3245">foundation</strongs>of <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1964">temple</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, they <strongs number="5975">set</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>in their <strongs number="3847">apparel</strongs>with <strongs number="2689">trumpets</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="623">Asaph</strongs>with <strongs number="4700">cymbals</strongs>, to <strongs number="1984">praise</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">after</strongs>the <strongs number="3027">ordinance</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And they sang together by <strongs number="6030">course</strongs>in <strongs number="1984">praising</strongs>and giving <strongs number="3034">thanks</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">because</strongs><em> he </em><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>his <strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs><em> endureth </em><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs><strongs number="5921">toward</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7321">shouted</strongs>with a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="8643">shout</strongs>, when they <strongs number="1984">praised</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">because</strongs>the foundation of the house of the LORD was <strongs number="3245 1004 3068">laid</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>But <strongs number="7227">many</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 3548">priests</strongs>and <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>and <strongs number="7218">chief</strongs>of the <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, <em> who </em><em> were </em>ancient <strongs number="2205">men</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>had <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7223">first</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, when the foundation of this house was <strongs number="3245 2088 1004">laid</strongs>before their <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, <strongs number="1058">wept</strongs>with a <strongs number="1419">loud</strongs><strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>; and <strongs number="7227">many</strongs>shouted <strongs number="8643 7311 6963">aloud</strongs>for <strongs number="8057">joy</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='13'>So that the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>could <strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="5234">discern</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="8643">shout</strongs>of <strongs number="8057">joy</strongs>from the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="1065">weeping</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7321">shouted</strongs>with a <strongs number="1419">loud</strongs><strongs number="8643">shout</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>was <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>afar <strongs number="5704 4480 7350">off</strongs>. </verse>
