      <verse number='2'>Then there <strongs number="935">came</strongs>some that <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, There <strongs number="935">cometh</strongs>a <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="1995">multitude</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>thee from <strongs number="4480 5676">beyond</strongs>the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>on this side <strongs number="4480 758">Syria</strongs>; and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, they <em> be </em>in <strongs number="2688">Hazazon</strongs>-tamar, <strongs number="1931">which</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5872">En</strongs>-gedi. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs><strongs number="3372">feared</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">set</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6440">himself</strongs>to <strongs number="1875">seek</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">proclaimed</strongs>a <strongs number="6685">fast</strongs><strongs number="5921">throughout</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>gathered themselves <strongs number="6908">together</strongs>, to <strongs number="1245">ask</strongs><em> help </em><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: <strongs number="1571">even</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs>bowed his <strongs number="6915">head</strongs>with <em> his </em><strongs number="639">face</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs>: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="5307">fell</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="7812">worshiping</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>, of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="6956">Kohathites</strongs>, and <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of the <strongs number="7145">Korhites</strongs>, stood <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>to <strongs number="1984">praise</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>with a <strongs number="1419">loud</strongs><strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>on <strongs number="4605">high</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And they rose <strongs number="7925">early</strongs>in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, and went <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>into the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>of <strongs number="8620">Tekoa</strongs>: and as they went <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>, <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs><strongs number="5975">stood</strongs>and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>me, O <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and ye <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>; <strongs number="539">Believe</strongs>in the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>your <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, so shall ye be <strongs number="539">established</strongs>; <strongs number="539">believe</strongs>his <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, so shall ye <strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And when he had <strongs number="3289">consulted</strongs><strongs number="413">with</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, he <strongs number="5975">appointed</strongs><strongs number="7891">singers</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and that should <strongs number="1984">praise</strongs>the <strongs number="1927">beauty</strongs>of <strongs number="6944">holiness</strongs>, as they went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="2502">army</strongs>, and to <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="3034">Praise</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>his <strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs><em> endureth </em><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And <strongs number="6256">when</strongs>they <strongs number="2490">began</strongs>to <strongs number="7440">sing</strongs>and to <strongs number="8416">praise</strongs>, the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5414">set</strongs><strongs number="693">ambushments</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="5983">Ammon</strongs>, <strongs number="4124">Moab</strongs>, and <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="8165">Seir</strongs>, which were <strongs number="935">come</strongs>against <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>; and they were <strongs number="5062">smitten</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>For the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="5983">Ammon</strongs>and <strongs number="4124">Moab</strongs>stood <strongs number="5975">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="8165">Seir</strongs>, utterly to <strongs number="2763">slay</strongs>and <strongs number="8045">destroy</strongs><em> them </em>: and when they had made an <strongs number="3615">end</strongs>of the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="8165">Seir</strongs>, every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="5826">helped</strongs>to <strongs number="4889">destroy</strongs><strongs number="7453">another</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>And when <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5921">toward</strongs>the watch <strongs number="4707">tower</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>, they <strongs number="6437">looked</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1995">multitude</strongs>, and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, they <em> were </em>dead <strongs number="6297">bodies</strongs><strongs number="5307">fallen</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">none</strongs><strongs number="6413">escaped</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And when <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs>and his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>to take <strongs number="962">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7998">spoil</strongs>of them, they <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>among them in <strongs number="7230">abundance</strongs>both <strongs number="7399">riches</strongs>with the dead <strongs number="6297">bodies</strongs>, and <strongs number="2530">precious</strongs><strongs number="3627">jewels</strongs>, which they stripped <strongs number="5337">off</strongs>for themselves, more <strongs number="369">than</strongs>they could carry <strongs number="4853">away</strongs>: and they <strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>in <strongs number="962">gathering</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>of the <strongs number="7998">spoil</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">it</strongs>was so <strongs number="7227">much</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='27'>Then they <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs>in the <strongs number="7218">forefront</strongs>of them, to go <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>with <strongs number="8057">joy</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had made them to <strongs number="8055">rejoice</strongs>over their <strongs number="4480 341">enemies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='28'>And they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>with <strongs number="5035">psalteries</strongs>and <strongs number="3658">harps</strongs>and <strongs number="2689">trumpets</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'>And the <strongs number="6343">fear</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4467">kingdoms</strongs>of <em> those </em><strongs number="776">countries</strongs>, when they had <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="3898">fought</strongs><strongs number="5973">against</strongs>the <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'>So the <strongs number="4438">realm</strongs>of <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs>was <strongs number="8252">quiet</strongs>: for his <strongs number="430">God</strongs>gave him <strongs number="5117">rest</strongs>round <strongs number="4480 5439">about</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'>And <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>: <em> he </em><em> was </em><strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs>and <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs>and <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. And his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5806">Azubah</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="7977">Shilhi</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='32'>And he <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, and <strongs number="5493">departed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>it, <strongs number="6213">doing</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='33'><strongs number="389">Howbeit</strongs>the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>were <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>taken <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>: for as <strongs number="5750">yet</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>had <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3559">prepared</strongs>their <strongs number="3824">hearts</strongs>unto the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of their <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
