      <verse number='1'>In the <strongs number="7651 6240">seventeenth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of <strongs number="6492">Pekah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7425">Remaliah</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3147">Jotham</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="6242">Twenty</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="8337 6240">sixteen</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>his <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, like <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>But he <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">yea</strongs>, and made <strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>to pass <strongs number="5674">through</strongs>the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, according to the <strongs number="8441">abominations</strongs>of the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, <strongs number="834 *853">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>cast <strongs number="3423">out</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And he <strongs number="2076">sacrificed</strongs>and burnt <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>in the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="1389">hills</strongs>, and <strongs number="8478">under</strongs><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="7488">green</strongs><strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="227">Then</strongs><strongs number="7526">Rezin</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs>and <strongs number="6492">Pekah</strongs><strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7425">Remaliah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>to <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>: and they <strongs number="6696 5921">besieged</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs>, but <strongs number="3201">could</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3898">overcome</strongs><em> him </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>At <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs><strongs number="7526">Rezin</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs><strongs number="7725">recovered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="359">Elath</strongs>to <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs>, and <strongs number="5394">drove</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3064">Jews</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 359">Elath</strongs>: and the <strongs number="726">Syrians</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="359">Elath</strongs>, and <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>So <strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="4397">messengers</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8407">Tiglathpileser</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>thy <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>and thy <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>: come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="3467">save</strongs>me out of the <strongs number="4480 3709">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs>, and out of the <strongs number="4480 3709">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, which rise <strongs number="6965">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And <strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>and <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>that was <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="214">treasures</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><em> it </em><em> for </em>a <strongs number="7810">present</strongs>to the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him: for the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>, and <strongs number="8610">took</strongs>it, and carried <em> the people of </em>it <strongs number="1540">captive</strongs>to <strongs number="7024">Kir</strongs>, and <strongs number="4191">slew</strongs><strongs number="7526">Rezin</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to <strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>to <strongs number="7122">meet</strongs><strongs number="8407">Tiglathpileser</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>an <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em>at <strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>: and <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1823">fashion</strongs>of the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, and the <strongs number="8403">pattern</strongs>of it, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4639">workmanship</strongs>thereof. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>an <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs>had <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1834">Damascus</strongs>: <strongs number="3651">so</strongs><strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="6213">made</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="5704">against</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1834">Damascus</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And when the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>was <strongs number="935">come</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1834">Damascus</strongs>, the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>: and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="7126">approached</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, and <strongs number="5927">offered</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And he <strongs number="6999">burnt</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>and his meat <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>, and <strongs number="5258">poured</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his drink <strongs number="5262">offering</strongs>, and <strongs number="2236">sprinkled</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>of <strongs number="834">his</strongs>peace <strongs number="8002">offerings</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And he <strongs number="7126">brought</strongs>also the <strongs number="5178">brazen</strongs><strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">forefront</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, from <strongs number="4480 996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>and the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">put</strongs>it <strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="6828">north</strongs><strongs number="3409">side</strongs>of the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">Upon</strongs>the <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><strongs number="6999">burn</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6153">evening</strongs>meat <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s burnt <strongs number="5930">sacrifice</strongs>, and his meat <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>, with the burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and their meat <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>, and their drink <strongs number="5262">offerings</strongs>; and <strongs number="2236">sprinkle</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>it <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>of the burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>of the <strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>: and the <strongs number="5178">brazen</strongs><strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>for me to <strongs number="1239">inquire</strongs><em> by </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>Thus <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs>cut <strongs number="7112">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4526">borders</strongs>of the <strongs number="4350">bases</strongs>, and <strongs number="5493">removed</strongs>the <strongs number="3595">laver</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>them; and took <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>the <strongs number="5178">brazen</strongs><strongs number="1241">oxen</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>it, and <strongs number="5414">put</strongs>it <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>a <strongs number="4837">pavement</strongs>of <strongs number="68">stones</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And the <strongs number="4329">covert</strongs>for the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>they had <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="3996">entry</strongs><strongs number="2435">without</strongs>, <strongs number="5437">turned</strongs>he from the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">for</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>Now the <strongs number="3499">rest</strongs>of the <strongs number="1697">acts</strongs>of <strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs>, <em> are </em><strongs number="1992">they</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3789">written</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="5612">book</strongs>of the <strongs number="1697 3117">chronicles</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, and was <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>in the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>: and <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>. </verse>
