      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to show <strongs number="7200">himself</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>. And <em> there </em><em> was </em>a <strongs number="2389">sore</strongs><strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>in <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='20'>So <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>unto <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and gathered the prophets <strongs number="6908 *853 5030">together</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="3760">Carmel</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='32'>And <strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="68">stones</strongs>he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>an <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>in the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and he <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>a <strongs number="8585">trench</strongs><strongs number="5439">about</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, as great as would <strongs number="1004">contain</strongs>two <strongs number="5429">measures</strongs>of <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='36'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>at <em> the </em><em> time </em><em> of </em>the <strongs number="5927">offering</strongs>of the <em> evening </em><strongs number="4503">sacrifice</strongs>, that <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>came <strongs number="5066">near</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs>, <strongs number="3327">Isaac</strongs>, and of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, let it be <strongs number="3045">known</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> art </em><strongs number="430">God</strongs>in <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and <em> that </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>thy <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>, and <em> that </em>I have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">things</strongs>at thy <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='37'><strongs number="6030">Hear</strongs>me, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="6030">hear</strongs>me, that <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>may <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> art </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <em> that </em><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>hast <strongs number="5437">turned</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>back <strongs number="322">again</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='38'>Then the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5307">fell</strongs>, and <strongs number="398">consumed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the burnt <strongs number="5930">sacrifice</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6086">wood</strongs>, and the <strongs number="68">stones</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6083">dust</strongs>, and licked <strongs number="3897">up</strongs>the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em>in the <strongs number="8585">trench</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='39'>And when <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><em> it </em>, they <strongs number="5307">fell</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>their <strongs number="6440">faces</strongs>: and they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>; the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='40'>And <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, <strongs number="8610">Take</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>; let <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="376">one</strongs>of <strongs number="4480">them</strongs><strongs number="4422">escape</strongs>. And they <strongs number="8610">took</strongs>them: and <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>brought them <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5158">brook</strongs><strongs number="7028">Kishon</strongs>, and <strongs number="7819">slew</strongs>them <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='41'>And <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>, Get thee <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>and <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><em> there </em><em> is </em>a <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of <strongs number="1995">abundance</strongs>of <strongs number="1653">rain</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='42'>So <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>and to <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs>. And <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="7218">top</strongs>of <strongs number="3760">Carmel</strongs>; and he cast himself <strongs number="1457">down</strongs>upon the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and <strongs number="7760">put</strongs>his <strongs number="6440">face</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>his <strongs number="1290">knees</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='43'>And <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="5288">servant</strongs>, Go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="4994">now</strongs>, <strongs number="5027">look</strongs><strongs number="1870">toward</strongs>the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>. And he went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="5027">looked</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <em> There </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369 3972">nothing</strongs>. And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Go <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="6471">times</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='44'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>at the seventh <strongs number="7637">time</strongs>, that he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, there <strongs number="5927">ariseth</strongs>a <strongs number="6996">little</strongs><strongs number="5645">cloud</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3220">sea</strongs>, like a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="3709">hand</strongs>. And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>, <strongs number="631">Prepare</strongs><em> thy </em><em> chariot </em>, and get thee <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>, that the <strongs number="1653">rain</strongs><strongs number="6113">stop</strongs>thee <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='45'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in the <strongs number="5704 3541 5704 3541">meanwhile</strongs>, that the <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>was <strongs number="6937">black</strongs>with <strongs number="5645">clouds</strongs>and <strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>, and there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="1653">rain</strongs>. And <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs><strongs number="7392">rode</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to <strongs number="3157">Jezreel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='46'>And the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="413">on</strongs><strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>; and he girded <strongs number="8151">up</strongs>his <strongs number="4975">loins</strongs>, and <strongs number="7323">ran</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="935">entrance</strongs>of <strongs number="3157">Jezreel</strongs>. </verse>
