      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="6865">Tyre</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he had <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>they had <strongs number="4886">anointed</strongs>him <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>in the <strongs number="8478">room</strongs>of his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3605 3117">ever</strongs>a <strongs number="157">lover</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><strongs number="3045">knowest</strongs>how <strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>my <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="3201">could</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1129">build</strongs>a <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>unto the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>his <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">for</strongs>the <strongs number="4421">wars</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>were about him on every <strongs number="5437">side</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5414">put</strongs>them <strongs number="8478">under</strongs>the <strongs number="3709">soles</strongs>of his <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>But <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath given me <strongs number="5117">rest</strongs>on every <strongs number="4480 5439">side</strongs>, <em> so </em><em> that </em><em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">neither</strongs><strongs number="7854">adversary</strongs><strongs number="369">nor</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="6294">occurrent</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I <strongs number="559">purpose</strongs>to <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>a <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>unto the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Thy <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>I will <strongs number="5414">set</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>thy <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>in thy <strongs number="8478">room</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>shall <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>a <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>unto my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="6680">command</strongs>thou that they <strongs number="3772">hew</strongs>me cedar <strongs number="730">trees</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs><strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>; and my <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thy <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>: and unto thee will I <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="7939">hire</strongs>for thy <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="559">appoint</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><strongs number="3045">knowest</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>among us <strongs number="376">any</strongs>that can <strongs number="3045">skill</strongs>to <strongs number="3772">hew</strongs><strongs number="6086">timber</strongs>like unto the <strongs number="6722">Sidonians</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>, that he <strongs number="8055">rejoiced</strongs><strongs number="3966">greatly</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="1288">Blessed</strongs><em> be </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>hath <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>unto <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>a <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, I have <strongs number="8085">considered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the things <strongs number="834">which</strongs>thou <strongs number="7971">sentest</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>me for: <em> and </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs>will <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>thy <strongs number="2656">desire</strongs>concerning <strongs number="6086">timber</strongs>of <strongs number="730">cedar</strongs>, and concerning <strongs number="6086">timber</strongs>of <strongs number="1265">fir</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>My <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>shall bring <em> them </em><strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>: and <strongs number="589">I</strongs>will <strongs number="7760">convey</strongs>them by <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>in <strongs number="1702">floats</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="7971 413">appoint</strongs>me, and will cause them to be <strongs number="5310">discharged</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, and <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>shalt <strongs number="5375">receive</strongs><em> them </em>: and <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>shalt <strongs number="6213">accomplish</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="2656">desire</strongs>, in <strongs number="5414">giving</strongs><strongs number="3899">food</strongs>for my <strongs number="1004">household</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>So <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="730">cedar</strongs><strongs number="6086">trees</strongs>and <strongs number="1265">fir</strongs><strongs number="6086">trees</strongs><em> according </em><em> to </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="2656">desire</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="3734">measures</strongs>of <strongs number="2406">wheat</strongs><em> for </em><strongs number="4361">food</strongs>to his <strongs number="1004">household</strongs>, and <strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="3734">measures</strongs>of <strongs number="3795">pure</strongs><strongs number="8081">oil</strongs>: <strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>to <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>by <strongs number="8141">year</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">promised</strongs>him: and there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="7965">peace</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs><strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs>and <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>; and they <strongs number="8147">two</strongs>made a league <strongs number="3772 1285">together</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5927">raised</strongs>a <strongs number="4522">levy</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; and the <strongs number="4522">levy</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And he <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>them to <strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>, <strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>a <strongs number="2320">month</strongs>by <strongs number="2487">courses</strongs>: a <strongs number="2320">month</strongs>they <strongs number="1961">were</strongs>in <strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="2320">months</strongs>at <strongs number="1004">home</strongs>: and <strongs number="141">Adoniram</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="4522">levy</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="1961">had</strongs>threescore and <strongs number="7657">ten</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>that <strongs number="5375">bore</strongs><strongs number="5449">burdens</strongs>, and <strongs number="8084">fourscore</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="2672">hewers</strongs>in the <strongs number="2022">mountains</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='16'>Beside the <strongs number="905 4480 8269">chief</strongs>of <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>'s <strongs number="5324">officers</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>, <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>and <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs>, which <strongs number="7287">ruled</strongs>over the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>that <strongs number="6213">wrought</strongs>in the <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>, and they <strongs number="5265">brought</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="68">stones</strongs>, <strongs number="3368">costly</strongs><strongs number="68">stones</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="1496">hewed</strongs><strongs number="68">stones</strongs>, to lay the <strongs number="3245">foundation</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>'s <strongs number="1129">builders</strongs>and <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs>'s <strongs number="1129">builders</strongs>did <strongs number="6458">hew</strongs><em> them </em>, and the <strongs number="1382">stonesquarers</strongs>: so they <strongs number="3559">prepared</strongs><strongs number="6086">timber</strongs>and <strongs number="68">stones</strongs>to <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
