      <verse number='1'><strongs number="3588">If</strongs><em> one </em>be <strongs number="4672">found</strongs><strongs number="2491">slain</strongs>in the <strongs number="127">land</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5414">giveth</strongs>thee to <strongs number="3423">possess</strongs>it, <strongs number="5307">lying</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>, <em> and </em>it be <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3045">known</strongs><strongs number="4310">who</strongs>hath <strongs number="5221">slain</strongs>him: </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Then thy <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>and thy <strongs number="8199">judges</strongs>shall come <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="4058">measure</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> are </em>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>him that is <strongs number="2491">slain</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, <em> that </em>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs><em> which </em><em> is </em><strongs number="7138">next</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the slain <strongs number="2491">man</strongs>, even the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>shall <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>a <strongs number="5697 1241">heifer</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>hath <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>been <strongs number="5647">wrought</strongs>with, <em> and </em><strongs number="834">which</strongs>hath <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4900">drawn</strongs>in the <strongs number="5923">yoke</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>shall bring <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5697">heifer</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>a <strongs number="386">rough</strongs><strongs number="5158">valley</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>is <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="5647">eared</strongs><strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="2232">sown</strongs>, and shall strike <strongs number="6203">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5697">heifer</strongs>'s <strongs number="6203">neck</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>in the <strongs number="5158">valley</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="3878">Levi</strongs>shall come <strongs number="5066">near</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>them the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath <strongs number="977">chosen</strongs>to <strongs number="8334">minister</strongs>unto him, and to <strongs number="1288">bless</strongs>in the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; and <strongs number="5921">by</strongs>their <strongs number="6310">word</strongs>shall <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="7379">controversy</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="5061">stroke</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs><em> tried </em>: </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, <em> that </em><em> are </em><strongs number="7138">next</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="2491">slain</strongs><em> man </em>, shall <strongs number="7364">wash</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="5697">heifer</strongs>that is <strongs number="6202">beheaded</strongs>in the <strongs number="5158">valley</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And they shall <strongs number="6030">answer</strongs>and <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, Our <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8210">shed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>have our <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs><strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Be <strongs number="3722">merciful</strongs>, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, unto thy <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="6299">redeemed</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">lay</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="5355">innocent</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>unto thy <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>'s <strongs number="7130">charge</strongs>. And the <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>shall be <strongs number="3722">forgiven</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>So shalt <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>put <strongs number="1197">away</strongs>the <em> guilt </em><em> of </em><strongs number="5355">innocent</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 7130">among</strongs>you, <strongs number="3588">when</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="3588">When</strongs>thou goest <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>to <strongs number="4421">war</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>thine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath <strongs number="5414">delivered</strongs>them into thine <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>, and thou hast <strongs number="7617">taken</strongs>them <strongs number="7628">captive</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="7200">seest</strongs>among the <strongs number="7633">captives</strongs>a <strongs number="3033 8389">beautiful</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs>, and hast a <strongs number="2836">desire</strongs>unto her, that thou wouldest <strongs number="3947">have</strongs>her to thy <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Then thou shalt <strongs number="935">bring</strongs>her <strongs number="8432">home</strongs>to thine <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; and she shall <strongs number="1548">shave</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">pare</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="6856">nails</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And she shall <strongs number="5493">put</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8071">raiment</strongs>of her <strongs number="7628">captivity</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>her, and shall <strongs number="3427">remain</strongs>in thine <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="1058">bewail</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and her <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>a <strongs number="3117">full</strongs><strongs number="3391">month</strongs>: and <strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="3651">that</strongs>thou shalt go <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>her, and be her <strongs number="1167">husband</strongs>, and she shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>thy <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, <strongs number="518">if</strongs>thou have no <strongs number="2654 3808">delight</strongs>in her, then thou shalt let her <strongs number="7971">go</strongs>whither she <strongs number="5315">will</strongs>; but thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>sell her at <strongs number="4376 4376">all</strongs>for <strongs number="3701">money</strongs>, thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>make <strongs number="6014">merchandise</strongs>of her, <strongs number="8478 834">because</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="6031">humbled</strongs>her. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="3588">If</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="1961">have</strongs><strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="802">wives</strongs>, <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="157">beloved</strongs>, and <strongs number="259">another</strongs><strongs number="8130">hated</strongs>, and they have <strongs number="3205">born</strongs>him <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>, <em> both </em>the <strongs number="157">beloved</strongs>and the <strongs number="8130">hated</strongs>; and <em> if </em>the <strongs number="1060">firstborn</strongs><strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs>hers that was <strongs number="8146">hated</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3588">But</strongs>he shall <strongs number="5234">acknowledge</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of the <strongs number="8130">hated</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><em> for </em>the <strongs number="1060">firstborn</strongs>, by <strongs number="5414">giving</strongs>him a <strongs number="8147">double</strongs><strongs number="6310">portion</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="4672">hath</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7225">beginning</strongs>of his <strongs number="202">strength</strongs>; the <strongs number="4941">right</strongs>of the <strongs number="1062">firstborn</strongs><em> is </em>his. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3588">If</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="1961">have</strongs>a <strongs number="5637">stubborn</strongs>and <strongs number="4784">rebellious</strongs><strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, which will <strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">obey</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, or the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>, and <em> that </em>, when they have <strongs number="3256">chastened</strongs>him, will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearken</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them: </verse>
      <verse number='19'>Then shall his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>lay <strongs number="8610">hold</strongs>on him, and bring him <strongs number="3318 *853">out</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of his <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>of his <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And they shall <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of his <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, <strongs number="2088">This</strongs>our <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5637">stubborn</strongs>and <strongs number="4784">rebellious</strongs>, he will <strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">obey</strongs>our <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>; <em> he </em><em> is </em>a <strongs number="2151">glutton</strongs>, and a <strongs number="5433">drunkard</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of his <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>shall <strongs number="7275">stone</strongs>him with <strongs number="68">stones</strongs>, that he <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>: so shalt thou put evil <strongs number="1197 7451">away</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 7130">among</strongs>you; and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>shall <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>, and <strongs number="3372">fear</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And <strongs number="3588">if</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>have <strongs number="1961">committed</strongs>a <strongs number="2399">sin</strongs><strongs number="4941">worthy</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>, and he be to be put to <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>, and thou <strongs number="8518">hang</strongs>him <strongs number="5921">on</strongs>a <strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='23'>His <strongs number="5038">body</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>remain all <strongs number="3885">night</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>thou shalt in any wise <strongs number="6912 6912">bury</strongs>him <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>; ( <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he that is <strongs number="8518">hanged</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="7045">accursed</strongs>of God;) <strongs number="430"></strongs>that <strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="127">land</strongs>be <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2930">defiled</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5414">giveth</strongs>thee <em> for </em>an <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>. </verse>
