      <verse number='1'>And the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3124">Jonah</strongs>the second <strongs number="8145">time</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="6965">Arise</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">go</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="5210">Nineveh</strongs>, that <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">preach</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>it <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7150">preaching</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="1696 413">bid</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>So <strongs number="3124">Jonah</strongs><strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="5210">Nineveh</strongs>, according to the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. Now <strongs number="5210">Nineveh</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>an <strongs number="430">exceeding</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>' <strongs number="4109">journey</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="3124">Jonah</strongs><strongs number="2490">began</strongs>to <strongs number="935">enter</strongs>into the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs><strongs number="259">a</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>'s <strongs number="4109">journey</strongs>, and he <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="5750">Yet</strongs><strongs number="705">forty</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, and <strongs number="5210">Nineveh</strongs>shall be <strongs number="2015">overthrown</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>So the <strongs number="376">people</strongs>of <strongs number="5210">Nineveh</strongs><strongs number="539">believed</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">proclaimed</strongs>a <strongs number="6685">fast</strongs>, and put <strongs number="3847">on</strongs><strongs number="8242">sackcloth</strongs>, from the <strongs number="4480 1419">greatest</strongs>of them even <strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="6996">least</strongs>of them. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>For <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="5060">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="5210">Nineveh</strongs>, and he <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>from his <strongs number="4480 3678">throne</strongs>, and he <strongs number="5674">laid</strongs>his <strongs number="155">robe</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>him, and <strongs number="3680">covered</strongs><em> him </em>with <strongs number="8242">sackcloth</strongs>, and <strongs number="3427">sat</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs><strongs number="665">ashes</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And he caused <em> it </em>to be <strongs number="2199">proclaimed</strongs>and <strongs number="559">published</strongs>through <strongs number="5210">Nineveh</strongs>by the <strongs number="4480 2940">decree</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>and his <strongs number="1419">nobles</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Let <strongs number="408">neither</strongs><strongs number="120">man</strongs>nor <strongs number="929">beast</strongs>, <strongs number="1241">herd</strongs>nor <strongs number="6629">flock</strongs>, <strongs number="2938">taste</strongs>any <strongs number="3972">thing</strongs>: let them <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="7462">feed</strongs>, <strongs number="408">nor</strongs><strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><strongs number="4325">water</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='8'>But let <strongs number="120">man</strongs>and <strongs number="929">beast</strongs>be <strongs number="3680">covered</strongs>with <strongs number="8242">sackcloth</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">cry</strongs><strongs number="2394">mightily</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>: yea, let them <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>from his <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="4480 1870">way</strongs>, and <strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="2555">violence</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> is </em>in their <strongs number="3709">hands</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="4310">Who</strongs>can <strongs number="3045">tell</strongs><em> if </em><strongs number="430">God</strongs>will <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>and <strongs number="5162">repent</strongs>, and turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs>from his <strongs number="4480 2740">fierce</strongs><strongs number="639">anger</strongs>, that we <strongs number="6">perish</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="4639">works</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>they <strongs number="7725">turned</strongs>from their <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="4480 1870">way</strongs>; and <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5162">repented</strongs><strongs number="5921">of</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="1696">said</strongs>that he would <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>unto them; and he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
