      <verse number='1'>When I would have <strongs number="7495">healed</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, then the <strongs number="5771">iniquity</strongs>of <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>was <strongs number="1540">discovered</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>of <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="6466">commit</strongs><strongs number="8267">falsehood</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1590">thief</strongs>cometh <strongs number="935">in</strongs>, <em> and </em>the troop of <strongs number="1416">robbers</strongs><strongs number="6584">spoileth</strongs><strongs number="2351">without</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And they <strongs number="559">consider</strongs><strongs number="1077">not</strongs>in their <strongs number="3824">hearts</strongs><em> that </em>I <strongs number="2142">remember</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>: <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>their own <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>have beset them <strongs number="5437">about</strongs>; they <strongs number="1961">are</strongs><strongs number="5048">before</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>They make the king <strongs number="8055 4428">glad</strongs>with their <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>, and the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>with their <strongs number="3585">lies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>They <em> are </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="5003">adulterers</strongs>, <strongs number="3644">as</strongs>an <strongs number="8574">oven</strongs><strongs number="1197">heated</strongs><strongs number="4480">by</strongs>the <strongs number="644">baker</strongs>, <em> who </em><strongs number="7673">ceaseth</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5782">raising</strongs>after he hath <strongs number="4480 3888">kneaded</strongs>the <strongs number="1217">dough</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>it be <strongs number="2556">leavened</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='8'><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>hath mixed <strongs number="1101">himself</strongs>among the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs><strongs number="1961">is</strongs>a <strongs number="5692">cake</strongs><strongs number="1097">not</strongs><strongs number="2015">turned</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="2114">Strangers</strongs>have <strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>his <strongs number="3581">strength</strongs>, and <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="3045">knoweth</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>: <strongs number="1571">yea</strongs>, gray <strongs number="7872">hairs</strongs>are here and <strongs number="2236">there</strongs>upon him, yet <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="3045">knoweth</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And the <strongs number="1347">pride</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="6030">testifieth</strongs>to his <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>: and they do <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>him for <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>also <strongs number="1961">is</strongs>like a <strongs number="6601">silly</strongs><strongs number="3123">dove</strongs><strongs number="369">without</strongs><strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>: they <strongs number="7121">call</strongs>to <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, they <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>to <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="834">When</strongs>they shall <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>, I will <strongs number="6566">spread</strongs>my <strongs number="7568">net</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them; I will bring them <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>as the <strongs number="5775">fowls</strongs>of the <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>; I will <strongs number="3256">chastise</strongs>them, as their <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>hath <strongs number="8088">heard</strongs>. </verse>
