      <verse number='2'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="1980">Go</strongs>and <strongs number="559">speak</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="559 413">tell</strongs>him, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and he shall <strongs number="8313">burn</strongs>it with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='4'><strongs number="389">Yet</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, O <strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>; <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5921">of</strongs>thee, Thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4191">die</strongs>by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='5'><em> But </em>thou shalt <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>in <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>: and with the <strongs number="4955">burnings</strongs>of thy <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, the <strongs number="7223">former</strongs><strongs number="4428">kings</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>thee, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>shall they <strongs number="8313">burn</strongs><em> odors </em>for thee; and they will <strongs number="5594">lament</strongs>thee, <em> saying </em>, <strongs number="1945">Ah</strongs><strongs number="113">lord</strongs>! <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs>have <strongs number="1696">pronounced</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Then <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='7'>When the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>'s <strongs number="2428">army</strongs><strongs number="3898">fought</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>that were <strongs number="3498">left</strongs>, <strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="3923">Lachish</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="5825">Azekah</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="2007">these</strongs><strongs number="4013">defensed</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><strongs number="7604">remained</strongs>of the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><em> This </em><em> is </em>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, after <strongs number="310">that</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs>had <strongs number="3772">made</strongs>a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em>at <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, to <strongs number="7121">proclaim</strongs><strongs number="1865">liberty</strongs>unto them; </verse>
      <verse number='9'>That every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>should let <strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">manservant</strongs>, and every <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="8198">maidservant</strongs>, <em> being </em>a <strongs number="5680">Hebrew</strongs>or a <strongs number="5680">Hebrewess</strongs>, <strongs number="7971">go</strongs><strongs number="2670">free</strongs>; that <strongs number="1115 376">none</strongs>should <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>himself of them, <em> to </em><em> wit </em>, of a <strongs number="3064">Jew</strongs>his <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>Now when <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>had <strongs number="935">entered</strongs>into the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>, <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>that every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>should let <strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">manservant</strongs>, and every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="8198">maidservant</strongs>, <strongs number="7971">go</strongs><strongs number="2670">free</strongs>, that <strongs number="1115">none</strongs>should <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>themselves of them any <strongs number="5750">more</strongs>, then they <strongs number="8085">obeyed</strongs>, and let <em> them </em><strongs number="7971">go</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>But <strongs number="310 3651">afterward</strongs>they <strongs number="7725">turned</strongs>, and caused <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>and the <strongs number="8198">handmaids</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they had let <strongs number="7971">go</strongs><strongs number="2670">free</strongs>, to <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>, and brought them into <strongs number="3533">subjection</strongs>for <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>and for <strongs number="8198">handmaids</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Therefore the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="3772">made</strongs>a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>that I brought them <strongs number="3318 *853">forth</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, out of the <strongs number="4480 1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="5650">bondmen</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>

      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>were <strongs number="3117">now</strongs><strongs number="7725">turned</strongs>, and had <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>in my <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>, in <strongs number="7121">proclaiming</strongs><strongs number="1865">liberty</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>to his <strongs number="7453">neighbor</strongs>; and ye had <strongs number="3772">made</strongs>a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>me in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>is <strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs>my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='16'>But ye <strongs number="7725">turned</strongs>and <strongs number="2490">polluted</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>, and caused every <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>, and every <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="8198">handmaid</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>ye had <strongs number="7971">set</strongs>at <strongs number="2670">liberty</strongs>at their <strongs number="5315">pleasure</strongs>, to <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>, and brought them into <strongs number="3533 *853">subjection</strongs>, to <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>unto you for <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>and for <strongs number="8198">handmaids</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'>And I will <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>that have <strongs number="5674">transgressed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6965">performed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>they had <strongs number="3772">made</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>me, <strongs number="834">when</strongs>they <strongs number="3772">cut</strongs>the <strongs number="5695">calf</strongs>in <strongs number="8147">twain</strongs>, and <strongs number="5674">passed</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="1335">parts</strongs>thereof, </verse>
      <verse number='19'>The <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, the <strongs number="5631">eunuchs</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, which <strongs number="5674">passed</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="1335">parts</strongs>of the <strongs number="5695">calf</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='20'>I will even <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>them into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of their <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of them that <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>their <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>: and their dead <strongs number="5038">bodies</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>for <strongs number="3978">meat</strongs>unto the <strongs number="5775">fowls</strongs>of the <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and to the <strongs number="929">beasts</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And <strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and his <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>will I <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of their <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of them that <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>their <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>'s <strongs number="2428">army</strongs>, which are gone <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>you. </verse>
