      <verse number='1'><strongs number="2142">Remember</strongs>now <strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="1254">Creator</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of thy <strongs number="979">youth</strongs>, <strongs number="5704 834">while</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, nor the <strongs number="8141">years</strongs>draw <strongs number="5060">nigh</strongs>, <strongs number="834">when</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, I have <strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="2656">pleasure</strongs>in them; </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="5704 834">While</strongs>the <strongs number="8121">sun</strongs>, or the <strongs number="216">light</strongs>, or the <strongs number="3394">moon</strongs>, or the <strongs number="3556">stars</strongs>, be <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2821">darkened</strongs>, nor the <strongs number="5645">clouds</strongs><strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>the <strongs number="1653">rain</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='3'>In the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>when the <strongs number="8104">keepers</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>shall <strongs number="7945 2111">tremble</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2428">strong</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>shall bow <strongs number="5791">themselves</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2912">grinders</strongs><strongs number="988">cease</strongs><strongs number="3588">because</strongs>they are <strongs number="4591">few</strongs>, and those that <strongs number="7200">look</strongs>out of the <strongs number="699">windows</strongs>be <strongs number="2821">darkened</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And the <strongs number="1817">doors</strongs>shall be <strongs number="5462">shut</strongs>in the <strongs number="7784">streets</strongs>, when the <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of the <strongs number="2913">grinding</strongs>is <strongs number="8213">low</strongs>, and he shall rise <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>at the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="6833">bird</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs>of <strongs number="7892">music</strongs>shall be brought <strongs number="7817">low</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="1571">Also</strongs><em> when </em>they shall be <strongs number="3372">afraid</strongs>of <em> that which is </em><strongs number="4480 1364">high</strongs>, and <strongs number="2849">fears</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and the almond <strongs number="8247">tree</strongs>shall <strongs number="5006">flourish</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2284">grasshopper</strongs>shall be a <strongs number="5445">burden</strongs>, and <strongs number="35">desire</strongs>shall <strongs number="6565">fail</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">because</strongs><strongs number="120">man</strongs><strongs number="1980">goeth</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="5769">long</strongs><strongs number="1004">home</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5594">mourners</strongs>go <strongs number="5437">about</strongs>the <strongs number="7784">streets</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="5704">Or</strongs><strongs number="834 3808">ever</strongs>the <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs><strongs number="2256">cord</strongs>be <strongs number="7368">loosed</strongs>, or the <strongs number="2091">golden</strongs><strongs number="1543">bowl</strongs>be <strongs number="7533">broken</strongs>, or the <strongs number="3537">pitcher</strongs>be <strongs number="7665">broken</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="4002">fountain</strongs>, or the <strongs number="1534">wheel</strongs><strongs number="7533">broken</strongs><strongs number="413">at</strongs>the <strongs number="953">cistern</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Then shall the <strongs number="6083">dust</strongs><strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>as it <strongs number="7945 1961">was</strongs>: and the <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="834">who</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="1892">Vanity</strongs>of <strongs number="1892">vanities</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="6953">preacher</strongs>; <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1892">vanity</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And <strongs number="3148">moreover</strongs>, because the <strongs number="6953">preacher</strongs><strongs number="7945 1961">was</strongs><strongs number="2450">wise</strongs>, he <strongs number="5750">still</strongs><strongs number="3925">taught</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs>; yea, he gave good <strongs number="238">heed</strongs>, and sought <strongs number="2713">out</strongs>, <em> and </em>set in <strongs number="8626">order</strongs><strongs number="7235">many</strongs><strongs number="4912">proverbs</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>The <strongs number="6953">preacher</strongs><strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>to find <strongs number="4672">out</strongs><strongs number="2656">acceptable</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>: and <em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="3789">written</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="3476">upright</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>The <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of the <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><em> are </em>as <strongs number="1861">goads</strongs>, and as <strongs number="4930">nails</strongs><strongs number="5193">fastened</strongs><em> by </em>the <strongs number="1167">masters</strongs>of <strongs number="627">assemblies</strongs>, <em> which </em>are <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>from one <strongs number="4480 7462 259">shepherd</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="3148">further</strongs>, by <strongs number="4480 1992">these</strongs>, my <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, be <strongs number="2094">admonished</strongs>: of <strongs number="6213">making</strongs><strongs number="7235">many</strongs><strongs number="5612">books</strongs><em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="7093">end</strongs>; and <strongs number="7235">much</strongs><strongs number="3854">study</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="3024">weariness</strongs>of the <strongs number="1320">flesh</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Let us <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="5490">conclusion</strongs>of the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="1697">matter</strongs>: <strongs number="3372">Fear</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs>his <strongs number="4687">commandments</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><em> duty </em>of <strongs number="120">man</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="4639">work</strongs>into <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">with</strongs><strongs number="3605">every</strongs>secret <strongs number="5956">thing</strongs>, <strongs number="518">whether</strongs><em> it </em><em> be </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, or <strongs number="518">whether</strongs><em> it </em><em> be </em><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>. </verse>
