      <verse number='2'>Let us <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>, we pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="259">a</strongs><strongs number="6982">beam</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="6213">make</strongs>us a <strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, <strongs number="8033">where</strongs>we may <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>. And he <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">Go</strongs>ye. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Be <strongs number="2974">content</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">go</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thy <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>. And he <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, <strongs number="589">I</strongs>will <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>So he <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>them. And when they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs>, they cut <strongs number="1504">down</strongs><strongs number="6086">wood</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>But as <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="5307">felling</strongs>a <strongs number="6982">beam</strongs>, the axe <strongs number="1270">head</strongs><strongs number="5307">fell</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>: and he <strongs number="6817">cried</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="162">Alas</strongs>, <strongs number="113">master</strongs>! for <strongs number="1931">it</strongs>was <strongs number="7592">borrowed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="575">Where</strongs><strongs number="5307">fell</strongs>it? And he <strongs number="7200">showed</strongs>him <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>.       <verse number='8'>Then the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs><strongs number="3898">warred</strongs>against <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and took <strongs number="3289">counsel</strongs><strongs number="413">with</strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="413">In</strongs>such and <strongs number="6423 492">such</strongs>a <strongs number="4725">place</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>my <strongs number="8466">camp</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'>Therefore <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>he <strongs number="8033">thither</strongs><strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>, and <strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>, and a <strongs number="3515">great</strongs><strongs number="2428">host</strongs>: and they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>by <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>, and <strongs number="5362 5921">compassed</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>about. </verse>

      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="6419">prayed</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, <strongs number="6491">open</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, that he may <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>. And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6491">opened</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>of the young <strongs number="5288">man</strongs>; and he <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>: and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="2022">mountain</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="4390">full</strongs>of <strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>and <strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>of <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs><strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs>. </verse>

And he <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs>them with <strongs number="5575">blindness</strongs>according to the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2090">this</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>: <strongs number="1980 310">follow</strongs>me, and I will <strongs number="1980">bring</strongs>you <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="834">whom</strongs>ye <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>.       <verse number='20'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when they were <strongs number="935">come</strongs>into <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>, that <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="6491">open</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>of <strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> men </em>, that they may <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>. And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6491">opened</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, and they <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>; and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <em> they </em><em> were </em>in the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs>, when he <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>them, My <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, shall I <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs><em> them </em>? shall I <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs><em> them </em>? </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And he <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, Thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5221">smite</strongs><em> them </em>: wouldest <strongs number="859">thou</strongs><strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>those <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>thou hast taken <strongs number="7617">captive</strongs>with thy <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>and with thy <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>? <strongs number="7760">set</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs>and <strongs number="4325">water</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>them, that they may <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>and <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">go</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>their <strongs number="113">master</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>And he <strongs number="3739">prepared</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="3740">provision</strongs>for them: and when they had <strongs number="398">eaten</strongs>and <strongs number="8354">drunk</strongs>, he sent them <strongs number="7971">away</strongs>, and they <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>their <strongs number="113">master</strongs>. So the <strongs number="1416">bands</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="3254 5750">more</strongs>into the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="3651">this</strongs>, that <strongs number="1130">Ben</strongs>-hadad <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs><strongs number="6908">gathered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="4264">host</strongs>, and went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="6696 5921">besieged</strongs><strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>in <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>: and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, they <strongs number="6696 5921">besieged</strongs>it, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>an <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>'s <strongs number="7218">head</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><em> sold </em>for <strongs number="8084">fourscore</strongs><em> pieces </em>of <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>, and the fourth <strongs number="7255">part</strongs>of a <strongs number="6894">cab</strongs>of dove's <strongs number="1686">dung</strongs>for <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><em> pieces </em>of <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>And as the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>passing <strongs number="5674">by</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>, there <strongs number="6817">cried</strongs>a <strongs number="802">woman</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3467">Help</strongs>, my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs>, O <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='27'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, If the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>do <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="3467">help</strongs>thee, <strongs number="4480 370">whence</strongs>shall I <strongs number="3467">help</strongs>thee? out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="1637">barnfloor</strongs>, <strongs number="176">or</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3342">winepress</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='28'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto her, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs>aileth thee? And she <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, <strongs number="2063">This</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, <strongs number="5414">Give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, that we may <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>him <strongs number="3117">today</strongs>, and we will <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>my <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="4279">tomorrow</strongs>. </verse>
