<verse number='39'>And <strongs number="6659">Zadok</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>a <strongs number="7161">horn</strongs>of <strongs number="8081">oil</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="168">tabernacle</strongs>, and <strongs number="4886">anointed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>. And they <strongs number="8628">blew</strongs>the <strongs number="7782">trumpet</strongs>; and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, God <strongs number="2421">save</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='40'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>him, and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="2490">piped</strongs>with <strongs number="2485">pipes</strongs>, and <strongs number="8056">rejoiced</strongs>with <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="8057">joy</strongs>, so that the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs><strongs number="1234">rent</strongs>with the <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of them. </verse>

<verse number='41'>And <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7121">guests</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><em> it </em>as <strongs number="1992">they</strongs>had made an <strongs number="3615">end</strongs>of <strongs number="398">eating</strongs>. And when <strongs number="3097">Joab</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of the <strongs number="7782">trumpet</strongs>, he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4069">Wherefore</strongs><em> is </em><em> this </em><strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="7151">city</strongs>being in an <strongs number="1993">uproar</strongs>? </verse>

<verse number='42'>And while he <strongs number="5750">yet</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="3129">Jonathan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="54">Abiathar</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>: and <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, Come <strongs number="935">in</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> art </em>a <strongs number="2428">valiant</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>, and bringest good <strongs number="2896 1319">tidings</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='43'>And <strongs number="3129">Jonathan</strongs><strongs number="6030">answered</strongs>and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>to <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs>, <strongs number="61">Verily</strongs>our <strongs number="113">lord</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>hath made Solomon <strongs number="4427 *853 8010">king</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='44'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>hath <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6659">Zadok</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, and <strongs number="5416">Nathan</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, and <strongs number="1141">Benaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3774">Cherethites</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6432">Pelethites</strongs>, and they have caused him to <strongs number="7392 *853">ride</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="6506">mule</strongs>: </verse>

<verse number='45'>And <strongs number="6659">Zadok</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>and <strongs number="5416">Nathan</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>have <strongs number="4886">anointed</strongs>him <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>in <strongs number="1521">Gihon</strongs>: and they are come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs><strongs number="8056">rejoicing</strongs>, so that the <strongs number="7151">city</strongs><strongs number="1949">rang</strongs>again. <strongs number="1931">This</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>ye have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='47'>And <strongs number="1571">moreover</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="1288">bless</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>our <strongs number="113">lord</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="430">God</strongs>make <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="3190">better</strongs>than thy <strongs number="4480 8034">name</strongs>, and make <strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs><strongs number="1431">greater</strongs>than thy <strongs number="4480 3678">throne</strongs>. And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>bowed <strongs number="7812">himself</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="4904">bed</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='48'>And <strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="3602">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, <strongs number="1288">Blessed</strongs><em> be </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>hath <strongs number="5414">given</strongs><em> one </em>to <strongs number="3427">sit</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>my <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>even <strongs number="7200">seeing</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>

<verse number='49'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7121">guests</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em>with <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs>were <strongs number="2729">afraid</strongs>, and rose <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>his <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='50'>And <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs><strongs number="3372">feared</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>, and <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>, and caught <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>on the <strongs number="7161">horns</strongs>of the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='51'>And it was <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs><strongs number="3372">feareth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>: for, <strongs number="2009">lo</strongs>, he hath caught <strongs number="270">hold</strongs>on the <strongs number="7161">horns</strongs>of the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Let <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="7650">swear</strongs>unto me <strongs number="3117">today</strongs>that he will <strongs number="518">not</strongs><strongs number="4191">slay</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='52'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="518">If</strongs>he will <strongs number="1961">show</strongs>himself a <strongs number="2428">worthy</strongs><strongs number="1121">man</strongs>, there shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>a hair <strongs number="4480 8183">of</strongs>him <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>: but <strongs number="518">if</strongs><strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>shall be <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>in him, he shall <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='53'>So <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>, and they brought him <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>. And he <strongs number="935">came</strongs>and bowed <strongs number="7812">himself</strongs>to <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>: and <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <strongs number="1980">Go</strongs>to thine <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
