      <verse number='2'><strongs number="6965">Arise</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>to <strongs number="6307">Padan</strongs>-aram, to the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1328">Bethuel</strongs>thy <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="1">father</strongs>; and <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>thee a <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 1323">daughters</strongs>of <strongs number="3837">Laban</strongs>thy <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="410">God</strongs><strongs number="7706">Almighty</strongs><strongs number="1288">bless</strongs>thee, and make thee <strongs number="6509">fruitful</strongs>, and <strongs number="7235">multiply</strongs>thee, that thou mayest <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="6951">multitude</strongs>of <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; </verse>

      <verse number='9'>Then <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="6215">Esau</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="802">wives</strongs>which he had <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4258">Mahalath</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs><strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, the <strongs number="269">sister</strongs>of <strongs number="5032">Nebajoth</strongs>, to be his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 884">Beer</strongs>-sheba, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>toward <strongs number="2771">Haran</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And he <strongs number="6293">lighted</strongs>upon a certain <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>, and tarried there all <strongs number="3885 8033">night</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>the <strongs number="8121">sun</strongs>was <strongs number="935">set</strongs>; and he <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 68">stones</strongs>of that <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>, and <strongs number="7760">put</strongs><em> them </em><em> for </em>his <strongs number="4763">pillows</strongs>, and lay <strongs number="7901">down</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>to sleep. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And he <strongs number="2492">dreamed</strongs>, and <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>a <strongs number="5551">ladder</strongs>set <strongs number="5324">up</strongs>on the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7218">top</strongs>of it <strongs number="5060">reached</strongs>to <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>: and <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>the <strongs number="4397">angels</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5927">ascending</strongs>and <strongs number="3381">descending</strongs>on it. </verse>

      <verse number='14'>And thy <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as the <strongs number="6083">dust</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and thou shalt spread <strongs number="6555">abroad</strongs>to the <strongs number="3220">west</strongs>, and to the <strongs number="6924">east</strongs>, and to the <strongs number="6828">north</strongs>, and to the <strongs number="5045">south</strongs>: and in thee and in thy <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs>shall <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4940">families</strongs>of the <strongs number="127">earth</strongs>be <strongs number="1288">blessed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="595">I</strongs><em> am </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thee, and will <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs>thee in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> places </em><strongs number="834">whither</strongs>thou <strongs number="1980">goest</strongs>, and will bring thee <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="127">land</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5800">leave</strongs>thee, <strongs number="5704 834 518">until</strongs>I have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><em> that </em><strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs>to thee of. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs><strongs number="3364">awaked</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 8142">sleep</strongs>, and he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="403">Surely</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="3426">is</strongs>in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>; and <strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And he was <strongs number="3372">afraid</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">How</strongs><strongs number="3372">dreadful</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>! <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>other <strongs number="3588 518">but</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>rose up <strongs number="7925">early</strongs>in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="68">stone</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="7760">put</strongs><em> for </em>his <strongs number="4763">pillows</strongs>, and set it <strongs number="7760 *853">up</strongs><em> for </em>a <strongs number="4676">pillar</strongs>, and <strongs number="3332">poured</strongs><strongs number="8081">oil</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="7218">top</strongs>of it. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And he <strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>: <strongs number="199">but</strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of that <strongs number="5892">city</strongs><em> was </em><em> called </em><strongs number="3870">Luz</strongs>at the <strongs number="7223">first</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs><strongs number="5087">vowed</strongs>a <strongs number="5088">vow</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="518">If</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>will <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>me, and will <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs>me in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="1980">go</strongs>, and will <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>me <strongs number="3899">bread</strongs>to <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>, and <strongs number="899">raiment</strongs>to put <strongs number="3847">on</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='21'>So that I come <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>in <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>; then shall the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="68">stone</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="7760">set</strongs><em> for </em>a <strongs number="4676">pillar</strongs>, shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>: and of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>me I will surely give the <strongs number="6237 6237">tenth</strongs>unto thee. </verse>
