      <verse number='1'><strongs number="7692">Shiggaion</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="7891">sang</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of <strongs number="3568">Cush</strongs>the <strongs number="1121 1145">Benjamite</strongs>. O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, in thee do I put my <strongs number="2620">trust</strongs>: <strongs number="3467">save</strongs>me from <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs>them that <strongs number="7291">persecute</strongs>me, and <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs>me: </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="6435">Lest</strongs>he <strongs number="2963">tear</strongs>my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>like a <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>, rending <em> it </em>in <strongs number="6561">pieces</strongs>, while <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>to <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="518">if</strongs>I have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>; <strongs number="518">if</strongs>there <strongs number="3426">be</strongs><strongs number="5766">iniquity</strongs>in my <strongs number="3709">hands</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="518">If</strongs>I have <strongs number="1580">rewarded</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>unto him that was at <strongs number="7999">peace</strongs>with me; (yea, I have <strongs number="2502">delivered</strongs>him that without <strongs number="7387">cause</strongs>is mine <strongs number="6887">enemy</strongs>:) </verse>
      <verse number='5'>Let the <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs><strongs number="7291">persecute</strongs>my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>, and <strongs number="5381">take</strongs><em> it </em>; yea, let him tread <strongs number="7429">down</strongs>my <strongs number="2416">life</strongs>upon the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and <strongs number="7931">lay</strongs>mine <strongs number="3519">honor</strongs>in the <strongs number="6083">dust</strongs>. <strongs number="5542">Selah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="6965">Arise</strongs>, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, in thine <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>, lift up <strongs number="5375">thyself</strongs>because of the <strongs number="5678">rage</strongs>of mine <strongs number="6887">enemies</strongs>: and <strongs number="5782">awake</strongs><strongs number="413">for</strongs>me <em> to </em>the <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs><em> that </em>thou hast <strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>So shall the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>of the <strongs number="3816">people</strongs>compass thee <strongs number="5437">about</strongs>: for their <strongs number="5921">sakes</strongs>therefore <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>thou on <strongs number="4791">high</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall <strongs number="1777">judge</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>: <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs>me, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, according to my <strongs number="6664">righteousness</strongs>, and according to mine <strongs number="8537">integrity</strongs><em> that </em><em> is </em><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="4994">Oh</strongs>let the <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>of the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>come to an <strongs number="1584">end</strongs>; but <strongs number="3559">establish</strongs>the <strongs number="6662">just</strongs>: for the <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="974">trieth</strongs>the <strongs number="3820">hearts</strongs>and <strongs number="3629">reins</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>My <strongs number="4043">defense</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5921">of</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, which <strongs number="3467">saveth</strongs>the <strongs number="3477">upright</strongs>in <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="8199">judgeth</strongs>the <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs>, and <strongs number="410">God</strongs>is <strongs number="2194">angry</strongs><em> with </em><em> the </em><em> wicked </em><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="518">If</strongs>he <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, he will <strongs number="3913">whet</strongs>his <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>; he hath <strongs number="1869">bent</strongs>his <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>, and made it <strongs number="3559">ready</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>He hath also <strongs number="3559">prepared</strongs>for him the <strongs number="3627">instruments</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>; he <strongs number="6466">ordaineth</strongs>his <strongs number="2671">arrows</strongs>against the <strongs number="1814">persecutors</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, he <strongs number="2254">travaileth</strongs>with <strongs number="205">iniquity</strongs>, and hath <strongs number="2029">conceived</strongs><strongs number="5999">mischief</strongs>, and brought <strongs number="3205">forth</strongs><strongs number="8267">falsehood</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>He <strongs number="3738">made</strongs>a <strongs number="953">pit</strongs>, and <strongs number="2658">digged</strongs>it, and is <strongs number="5307">fallen</strongs>into the <strongs number="7845">ditch</strongs><em> which </em>he <strongs number="6466">made</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>His <strongs number="5999">mischief</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>upon his own <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>, and his violent <strongs number="2555">dealing</strongs>shall come <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>his own <strongs number="6936">pate</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>I will <strongs number="3034">praise</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>according to his <strongs number="6664">righteousness</strongs>: and will sing <strongs number="2167">praise</strongs>to the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>most <strongs number="5945">high</strongs>. </verse>
