      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="550">Amnon</strongs>was so <strongs number="6887">vexed</strongs>, that he fell <strongs number="2470">sick</strongs><strongs number="5668">for</strongs>his <strongs number="269">sister</strongs><strongs number="8559">Tamar</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">she</strongs><em> was </em>a <strongs number="1330">virgin</strongs>; and <strongs number="550">Amnon</strongs><strongs number="5869">thought</strongs>it <strongs number="6381">hard</strongs>for him to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>any <strongs number="3972">thing</strongs>to her. </verse>

      <verse number='8'>So <strongs number="8559">Tamar</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to her <strongs number="251">brother</strongs><strongs number="550">Amnon</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; and <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>was laid <strongs number="7901">down</strongs>.       <verse number='14'>Howbeit he <strongs number="14">would</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearken</strongs>unto her <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>: but, being <strongs number="2388">stronger</strongs>than she, <strongs number="6031">forced</strongs>her, and lay <strongs number="7901">with</strongs>her. </verse>

      <verse number='36'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, as soon as he had made an <strongs number="3615">end</strongs>of <strongs number="1696">speaking</strongs>, that, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>, and lifted <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>their <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>and <strongs number="1058">wept</strongs>: and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs><strongs number="1058">wept</strongs><strongs number="3966">very</strongs><strongs number="1419">sore</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='37'>But <strongs number="53">Absalom</strongs><strongs number="1272">fled</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8526">Talmai</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5989">Ammihud</strongs>, <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="1650">Geshur</strongs>. And <em> David </em><strongs number="56">mourned</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='38'>So <strongs number="53">Absalom</strongs><strongs number="1272">fled</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to <strongs number="1650">Geshur</strongs>, and <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='39'>And <em> the </em><em> soul </em><em> of </em><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3615">longed</strongs>to go <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="53">Absalom</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he was <strongs number="5162">comforted</strongs><strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs><strongs number="550">Amnon</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">seeing</strongs>he was <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs>. </verse>
