      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1492">Behold</strongs>, what <strongs number="4217">manner</strongs>of <strongs number="26">love</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3962">Father</strongs>hath <strongs number="1325">bestowed</strongs>upon <strongs number="2254">us</strongs>, <strongs number="2443">that</strongs>we should be <strongs number="2564">called</strongs>the <strongs number="5043">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>: <strongs number="1223 5124">therefore</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2889">world</strongs><strongs number="1097">knoweth</strongs><strongs number="2248">us</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>, <strongs number="3754">because</strongs>it <strongs number="1097">knew</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="27">Beloved</strongs>, <strongs number="3568">now</strongs><strongs number="2070">are</strongs>we the <strongs number="5043">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>it doth not <strongs number="3768">yet</strongs><strongs number="5319">appear</strongs><strongs number="5101">what</strongs>we shall <strongs number="2071">be</strongs>: <strongs number="1161">but</strongs>we <strongs number="1492">know</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs>, <strongs number="1437">when</strongs>he shall <strongs number="5319">appear</strongs>, we shall <strongs number="2071">be</strongs><strongs number="3664">like</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs>; <strongs number="3754">for</strongs>we shall <strongs number="3700">see</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs><strongs number="2531">as</strongs>he <strongs number="2076">is</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>every <strongs number="3956">man</strongs>that <strongs number="2192">hath</strongs><strongs number="5026">this</strongs><strongs number="1680">hope</strongs><strongs number="1909">in</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs><strongs number="48">purifieth</strongs><strongs number="1438">himself</strongs>, even <strongs number="2531">as</strongs><strongs number="1565">he</strongs><strongs number="2076">is</strongs><strongs number="53">pure</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='21'><strongs number="27">Beloved</strongs>, <strongs number="1437">if</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="2588">heart</strongs><strongs number="2607">condemn</strongs><strongs number="2257">us</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>, <em> then </em><strongs number="2192">have</strongs>we <strongs number="3954">confidence</strongs><strongs number="4314">toward</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>. </verse>
