      <verse number='2'>When they had <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>unto the house of <strongs number="1008">God</strongs><strongs number="8272">Sherezer</strongs>and <strongs number="7278">Regem</strongs>-melech, and their <strongs number="376">men</strongs>, to <strongs number="2470">pray</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='3'><em> And </em>to <strongs number="559">speak</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Should I <strongs number="1058">weep</strongs>in the <strongs number="2549">fifth</strongs><strongs number="2320">month</strongs>, separating <strongs number="5144">myself</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>I have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="2088">these</strongs>so <strongs number="4100">many</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Then <strongs number="1961">came</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="559">Speak</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">When</strongs>ye <strongs number="6684">fasted</strongs>and <strongs number="5594">mourned</strongs>in the <strongs number="2549">fifth</strongs>and <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><em> month </em>, even <strongs number="2088">those</strongs><strongs number="7657">seventy</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>, did ye at all <strongs number="6684 6684">fast</strongs>unto me, <em> even </em>to <strongs number="589">me</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="3588">when</strongs>ye did <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>, and <strongs number="3588">when</strongs>ye did <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs>, did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="398">eat</strongs><em> for </em><em> yourselves </em>, and <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><em> for </em><em> yourselves </em>? </verse>
      <verse number='7'><em> Should </em><em> ye </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><em> hear </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs><strongs number="3027">by</strongs>the <strongs number="7223">former</strongs><strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, when <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3427">inhabited</strongs>and in <strongs number="7961">prosperity</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>thereof round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>her, when <em> men </em><strongs number="3427">inhabited</strongs>the <strongs number="5045">south</strongs>and the <strongs number="8219">plain</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="2148">Zechariah</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">speaketh</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="8199">Execute</strongs><strongs number="571">true</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">show</strongs><strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs>and <strongs number="7356">compassions</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="854">to</strongs>his <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="6231">oppress</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>the <strongs number="490">widow</strongs>, nor the <strongs number="3490">fatherless</strongs>, the <strongs number="1616">stranger</strongs>, nor the <strongs number="6041">poor</strongs>; and let <strongs number="408">none</strongs>of you <strongs number="2803">imagine</strongs><strongs number="7451 376">evil</strongs>against his <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>in your <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>But they <strongs number="3985">refused</strongs>to <strongs number="7181">hearken</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">pulled</strongs><strongs number="5637">away</strongs>the <strongs number="3802">shoulder</strongs>, and <strongs number="3513">stopped</strongs>their <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>, that they should not <strongs number="4480 8085">hear</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Yea, they <strongs number="7760">made</strongs>their <strongs number="3820">hearts</strongs><em> as </em>an adamant <strongs number="8068">stone</strongs>, lest they should <strongs number="4480 8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8451">law</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>hath <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>in his <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs><strongs number="3027">by</strongs>the <strongs number="7223">former</strongs><strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>: therefore <strongs number="1961">came</strongs>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7110">wrath</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Therefore it is come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <em> that </em><strongs number="834">as</strongs>he <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs>, and they would <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>; <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>they <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs>, and I would <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='14'>But I scattered them with a <strongs number="5590">whirlwind</strongs><strongs number="5921">among</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs><strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they <strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. Thus the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>was <strongs number="8074">desolate</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>them, that no man passed <strongs number="4480 5674">through</strongs>nor <strongs number="4480 7725">returned</strongs>: for they <strongs number="7760">laid</strongs>the <strongs number="2532">pleasant</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="8047">desolate</strongs>. </verse>
