      <verse number='1'>The <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of <strongs number="5986">Amos</strongs>, <strongs number="834">who</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>among the <strongs number="5349">herdsmen</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 8620">Tekoa</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="2372">saw</strongs><strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of <strongs number="3379">Jeroboam</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3101">Joash</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, two <strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="7494">earthquake</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="7580">roar</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6726">Zion</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">utter</strongs>his <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 3389">Jerusalem</strongs>; and the <strongs number="4999">habitations</strongs>of the <strongs number="7462">shepherds</strongs>shall <strongs number="56">mourn</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7218">top</strongs>of <strongs number="3760">Carmel</strongs>shall <strongs number="3001">wither</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="5921">For</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="6588">transgressions</strongs>of <strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="702">four</strongs>, I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs><em> the </em><em> punishment </em>thereof; <strongs number="5921">because</strongs>they have <strongs number="1758">threshed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>with threshing <strongs number="2742">instruments</strongs>of <strongs number="1270">iron</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='4'>But I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="2371">Hazael</strongs>, which shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>the <strongs number="759">palaces</strongs>of <strongs number="1130">Ben</strongs>-hadad. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>I will <strongs number="7665">break</strongs>also the <strongs number="1280">bar</strongs>of <strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>, and cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 1237">plain</strongs>of <strongs number="206">Aven</strongs>, and him that <strongs number="8551">holdeth</strongs>the <strongs number="7626">scepter</strongs>from the house of <strongs number="4480 1040">Eden</strongs>: and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs>shall go into <strongs number="1540">captivity</strongs>unto <strongs number="7024">Kir</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="5921">For</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="6588">transgressions</strongs>of <strongs number="5804">Gaza</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="702">four</strongs>, I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs><em> the </em><em> punishment </em>thereof; <strongs number="5921">because</strongs>they carried away <strongs number="1540">captive</strongs>the <strongs number="8003">whole</strongs><strongs number="1546">captivity</strongs>, to deliver <em> them </em><strongs number="5462">up</strongs>to <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='7'>But I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>on the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="5804">Gaza</strongs>, which shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>the <strongs number="759">palaces</strongs>thereof: </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And I will cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 795">Ashdod</strongs>, and him that <strongs number="8551">holdeth</strongs>the <strongs number="7626">scepter</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 831">Ashkelon</strongs>, and I will <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>mine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="6138">Ekron</strongs>: and the <strongs number="7611">remnant</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>shall <strongs number="6">perish</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="5921">For</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="6588">transgressions</strongs>of <strongs number="6865">Tyrus</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="702">four</strongs>, I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs><em> the </em><em> punishment </em>thereof; <strongs number="5921">because</strongs>they delivered <strongs number="5462">up</strongs>the <strongs number="8003">whole</strongs><strongs number="1546">captivity</strongs>to <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs>, and <strongs number="2142">remembered</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="251">brotherly</strongs><strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='10'>But I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>on the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="6865">Tyrus</strongs>, which shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>the <strongs number="759">palaces</strongs>thereof. </verse>

      <verse number='13'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="5921">For</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="6588">transgressions</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="5983">Ammon</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="702">four</strongs>, I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs><em> the </em><em> punishment </em>thereof; <strongs number="5921">because</strongs>they have ripped <strongs number="1234">up</strongs>the women with <strongs number="2030">child</strongs>of <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>, <strongs number="4616">that</strongs>they might <strongs number="7337">enlarge</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='14'>But I will <strongs number="3341">kindle</strongs>a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>in the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="7237">Rabbah</strongs>, and it shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>the <strongs number="759">palaces</strongs>thereof, with <strongs number="8643">shouting</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>, with a <strongs number="5591">tempest</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="5492">whirlwind</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And their <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>shall <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>into <strongs number="1473">captivity</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>and his <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
