      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1980">Come</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs>hath <strongs number="2963">torn</strongs>, and he will <strongs number="7495">heal</strongs>us; he hath <strongs number="5221">smitten</strongs>, and he will bind us <strongs number="2280">up</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>After two <strongs number="4480 3117">days</strongs>will he <strongs number="2421">revive</strongs>us: in the <strongs number="7992">third</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>he will raise us <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>, and we shall <strongs number="2421">live</strongs>in his <strongs number="6440">sight</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Then shall we <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>, <em> if </em>we follow <strongs number="7291">on</strongs>to <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: his going <strongs number="4161">forth</strongs>is <strongs number="3559">prepared</strongs>as the <strongs number="7837">morning</strongs>; and he shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>unto us as the <strongs number="1653">rain</strongs>, as the <strongs number="4456">latter</strongs><em> and </em>former <strongs number="3138">rain</strongs>unto the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>O <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">what</strongs>shall I <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>unto thee? O <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">what</strongs>shall I <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>unto thee? for your <strongs number="2617">goodness</strongs><em> is </em>as a <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs><strongs number="6051">cloud</strongs>, and as the <strongs number="7925">early</strongs><strongs number="2919">dew</strongs>it goeth <strongs number="1980">away</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="5921 3651">Therefore</strongs>have I <strongs number="2672">hewed</strongs><em> them </em>by the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>; I have <strongs number="2026">slain</strongs>them by the <strongs number="561">words</strongs>of my <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>: and thy <strongs number="4941">judgments</strongs><em> are </em><em> as </em>the <strongs number="216">light</strongs><em> that </em>goeth <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>I <strongs number="2654">desired</strongs><strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>more than burnt <strongs number="4480 5930">offerings</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>But <strongs number="1992">they</strongs>like <strongs number="120">men</strongs>have <strongs number="5674">transgressed</strongs>the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>: <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>have they dealt <strongs number="898">treacherously</strongs>against me. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="7151">city</strongs>of them that <strongs number="6466">work</strongs><strongs number="205">iniquity</strongs>, <em> and </em><em> is </em><strongs number="6121">polluted</strongs>with <strongs number="4480 1818">blood</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And as troops of <strongs number="1416">robbers</strongs><strongs number="2442">wait</strongs>for a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>, <em> so </em>the <strongs number="2267">company</strongs>of <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs><strongs number="7523">murder</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>by <strongs number="7926">consent</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="6213">commit</strongs><strongs number="2154">lewdness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>I have <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs>a horrible <strongs number="8186">thing</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>: <strongs number="8033">there</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="2184">whoredom</strongs>of <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>, <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>is <strongs number="2930">defiled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="1571">Also</strongs>, O <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, he hath <strongs number="7896">set</strongs>a <strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs>for thee, when I <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs>the <strongs number="7622">captivity</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
