      <verse number='2'><strongs number="5046">Declare</strongs>ye among the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>, and <strongs number="8085">publish</strongs>, and set <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>a <strongs number="5251">standard</strongs>; <strongs number="8085">publish</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3582">conceal</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>: <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>is <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>, <strongs number="1078">Bel</strongs>is <strongs number="3001">confounded</strongs>, <strongs number="4781">Merodach</strongs>is broken in <strongs number="2844">pieces</strongs>; her <strongs number="6091">idols</strongs>are <strongs number="3001">confounded</strongs>, her <strongs number="1544">images</strongs>are broken in <strongs number="2865">pieces</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 6828">north</strongs>there cometh <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>a <strongs number="1471">nation</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her, <strongs number="1931">which</strongs>shall <strongs number="7896">make</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="8047">desolate</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">none</strongs><strongs number="1961">shall</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>therein: they shall <strongs number="5110">remove</strongs>, they shall <strongs number="1980">depart</strongs>, both <strongs number="4480 120">man</strongs>and <strongs number="929">beast</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>In <strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, and in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, <strongs number="1992">they</strongs>and the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">going</strongs>and <strongs number="1058">weeping</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>, and <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>They shall <strongs number="7592">ask</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>to <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>with their <strongs number="6440">faces</strongs><strongs number="2008">thitherward</strongs>, <em> saying </em>, <strongs number="935">Come</strongs>, and let us join <strongs number="3867">ourselves</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>in a <strongs number="5769">perpetual</strongs><strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><em> that </em>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="7911">forgotten</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>My <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>hath <strongs number="1961">been</strongs><strongs number="6">lost</strongs><strongs number="6629">sheep</strongs>: their <strongs number="7462">shepherds</strongs>have caused them to go <strongs number="8582">astray</strongs>, they have turned them <strongs number="7725">away</strongs><em> on </em>the <strongs number="2022">mountains</strongs>: they have <strongs number="1980">gone</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 2022">mountain</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1389">hill</strongs>, they have <strongs number="7911">forgotten</strongs>their resting <strongs number="7258">place</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="3605">All</strongs>that <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>them have <strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>them: and their <strongs number="6862">adversaries</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, We <strongs number="816">offend</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, <strongs number="8478 834">because</strongs>they have <strongs number="2398">sinned</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="5116">habitation</strongs>of <strongs number="6664">justice</strongs>, even the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="4723">hope</strongs>of their <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="5110">Remove</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 8432">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and go <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>, and <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as the he <strongs number="6260">goats</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="6629">flocks</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">lo</strongs>, <strongs number="595">I</strongs>will <strongs number="5782">raise</strongs>and cause to come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>an <strongs number="6951">assembly</strongs>of <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>from the <strongs number="6828">north</strongs><strongs number="4480 776">country</strongs>: and they shall set themselves in <strongs number="6186">array</strongs>against her; from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>she shall be <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>: their <strongs number="2671">arrows</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>as of a <strongs number="1368">mighty</strongs><strongs number="7919">expert</strongs>man; <strongs number="3808">none</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>in <strongs number="7387">vain</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>ye were <strongs number="8055">glad</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>ye <strongs number="5937">rejoiced</strongs>, O ye <strongs number="8154">destroyers</strongs>of mine <strongs number="5159">heritage</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>ye are grown <strongs number="6335">fat</strongs>as the <strongs number="5697">heifer</strongs>at <strongs number="1877">grass</strongs>, and <strongs number="6670">bellow</strongs>as <strongs number="47">bulls</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Your <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>shall be <strongs number="3966">sore</strongs><strongs number="954">confounded</strongs>; she that <strongs number="3205">bore</strongs>you shall be <strongs number="2659">ashamed</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="319">hindmost</strongs>of the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>a <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>, a dry <strongs number="6723">land</strongs>, and a <strongs number="6160">desert</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'>Put yourselves in <strongs number="6186">array</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>: <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>ye that <strongs number="1869">bend</strongs>the <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>, <strongs number="3034">shoot</strongs><strongs number="413">at</strongs>her, <strongs number="2550">spare</strongs><strongs number="408">no</strongs><strongs number="2671">arrows</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>she hath <strongs number="2398">sinned</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="7321">Shout</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>: she hath <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>her <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>: her <strongs number="803">foundations</strongs>are <strongs number="5307">fallen</strongs>, her <strongs number="2346">walls</strongs>are thrown <strongs number="2040">down</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">it</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="5360">vengeance</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: take <strongs number="5358">vengeance</strongs>upon her; <strongs number="834">as</strongs>she hath <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>, <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>unto her. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>Cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>the <strongs number="2232">sower</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 894">Babylon</strongs>, and him that <strongs number="8610">handleth</strongs>the <strongs number="4038">sickle</strongs>in the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of <strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs>: for <strongs number="4480 6440">fear</strongs>of the <strongs number="3238">oppressing</strongs><strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>they shall <strongs number="6437">turn</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="5127">flee</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>to his own <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="6485 413">punish</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>and his <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>I have <strongs number="6485 413">punished</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And I will <strongs number="7725">bring</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>again <strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="5116">habitation</strongs>, and he shall <strongs number="7462">feed</strongs>on <strongs number="3760">Carmel</strongs>and <strongs number="1316">Bashan</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>shall be <strongs number="7646">satisfied</strongs>upon <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>and <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>In <strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, and in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5771">iniquity</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>shall be sought <strongs number="1245">for</strongs>, and <em> there </em><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>; and the <strongs number="2403">sins</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I will <strongs number="5545">pardon</strongs>them <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>I <strongs number="7604">reserve</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>Go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4850">Merathaim</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>it, and <strongs number="413">against</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="6489">Pekod</strongs>: <strongs number="2717">waste</strongs>and utterly <strongs number="2763">destroy</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>them, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I have <strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>A <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and of <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7667">destruction</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="349">How</strongs>is the <strongs number="6360">hammer</strongs>of the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="776">earth</strongs>cut <strongs number="1438">asunder</strongs>and <strongs number="7665">broken</strongs>! <strongs number="349">how</strongs>is <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="1961">become</strongs>a <strongs number="8047">desolation</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>! </verse>
      <verse number='24'>I have laid a <strongs number="3369">snare</strongs>for thee, and thou art <strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>, O <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>wast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3045">aware</strongs>: thou art <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>, and <strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="8610">caught</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="1624">striven</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="6605">opened</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="214">armory</strongs>, and hath brought <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3627">weapons</strongs>of his <strongs number="2195">indignation</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">this</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>of the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'><strongs number="935">Come</strongs>against her from the utmost <strongs number="4480 7093">border</strongs>, <strongs number="6605">open</strongs>her <strongs number="3965">storehouses</strongs>: cast her <strongs number="5549">up</strongs>as <strongs number="6194">heaps</strongs>, and <strongs number="2763">destroy</strongs>her utterly: let <strongs number="408">nothing</strongs>of her <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="7611">left</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='30'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>shall her young <strongs number="970">men</strongs><strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>in the <strongs number="7339">streets</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>her <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>shall be cut <strongs number="1826">off</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I <em> am </em><strongs number="413">against</strongs>thee, <em> O </em><em> thou </em>most <strongs number="2087">proud</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>thy <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>is <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs><em> that </em>I will <strongs number="6485">visit</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='32'>And the most <strongs number="2087">proud</strongs>shall <strongs number="3782">stumble</strongs>and <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">none</strongs>shall raise him <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>: and I will <strongs number="3341">kindle</strongs>a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>in his <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>, and it shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='33'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>; The <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>and the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="6231">oppressed</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>that took them <strongs number="7617">captives</strongs>held them <strongs number="2388">fast</strongs>; they <strongs number="3985">refused</strongs>to let them <strongs number="7971">go</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='35'>A <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">upon</strongs>her <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">upon</strongs>her <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><em> men </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='36'>A <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="413">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="907">liars</strongs>; and they shall <strongs number="2973">dote</strongs>: a <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="413">upon</strongs>her mighty <strongs number="1368">men</strongs>; and they shall be <strongs number="2865">dismayed</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='39'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>the wild beasts of the <strongs number="6728">desert</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>the wild beasts of the <strongs number="338">islands</strongs>shall <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs><em> there </em>, and the <strongs number="1323 3284">owls</strongs>shall <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>therein: and it shall be <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="3427">inhabited</strongs><strongs number="5331">forever</strongs>; <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>shall it be dwelt <strongs number="7931">in</strongs><strongs number="5704">from</strongs><strongs number="1755">generation</strongs>to <strongs number="1755">generation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='40'>As <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="4114">overthrew</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="5467">Sodom</strongs>and <strongs number="6017">Gomorrah</strongs>and the <strongs number="7934">neighbor</strongs><em> cities </em>thereof, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <em> so </em>shall <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="3427">abide</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>shall any <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="120">man</strongs><strongs number="1481">dwell</strongs>therein. </verse>
      <verse number='41'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, a <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 6828">north</strongs>, and a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>, and <strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>shall be raised <strongs number="5782">up</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 3411">coasts</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='42'>They shall <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>the <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>and the <strongs number="3591">lance</strongs>: <strongs number="1992">they</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="394">cruel</strongs>, and will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>show <strongs number="7355">mercy</strongs>: their <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>shall <strongs number="1993">roar</strongs>like the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="7392">ride</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>, <em> every </em><em> one </em>put in <strongs number="6186">array</strongs>, like a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>to the <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">against</strongs>thee, O <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='43'>The <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>hath <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8088">report</strongs>of them, and his <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>waxed <strongs number="7503">feeble</strongs>: <strongs number="6869">anguish</strongs>took <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>of him, <em> and </em><strongs number="2427">pangs</strongs>as of a woman in <strongs number="3205">travail</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='44'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, he shall come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>like a <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 1347">swelling</strongs>of <strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="5116">habitation</strongs>of the <strongs number="386">strong</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>I will make them <strongs number="7280">suddenly</strongs>run <strongs number="7323">away</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>her: and <strongs number="4310">who</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="977">chosen</strongs><em> man, </em><em> that </em>I may <strongs number="6485">appoint</strongs><strongs number="413">over</strongs>her? <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="4310">who</strongs><em> is </em>like <strongs number="3644">me</strongs>? and <strongs number="4310">who</strongs>will appoint me the <strongs number="3259">time</strongs>? and <strongs number="4310">who</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2088">that</strongs><strongs number="7462">shepherd</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>will <strongs number="5975">stand</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>me? </verse>
      <verse number='45'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>ye the <strongs number="6098">counsel</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>he hath <strongs number="3289">taken</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>; and his <strongs number="4284">purposes</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>he hath <strongs number="2803">purposed</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>: <strongs number="518 3808">Surely</strongs>the <strongs number="6810">least</strongs>of the <strongs number="6629">flock</strongs>shall draw them <strongs number="5498">out</strongs>: <strongs number="518 3808">surely</strongs>he shall make <em> their </em><strongs number="5116">habitation</strongs><strongs number="8074">desolate</strongs><strongs number="5921">with</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='46'>At the <strongs number="4480 6963">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="8610">taking</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>is <strongs number="7493">moved</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2201">cry</strongs>is <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>. </verse>
