      <verse number='2'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="859">Ye</strongs>have <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I have <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>; and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>they <em> are </em>a <strongs number="2723">desolation</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">no</strongs>man <strongs number="3427">dwelleth</strongs>therein, </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="4480 6440">Because</strongs>of their <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>they have <strongs number="6213">committed</strongs>to provoke me to <strongs number="3707">anger</strongs>, in that they <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>, <em> and </em>to <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs><strongs number="312">other</strongs><strongs number="430">gods</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they <strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, <em> neither </em><strongs number="1992">they</strongs>, <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>, nor your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Howbeit I <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>you <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, rising <strongs number="7925">early</strongs>and <strongs number="7971">sending</strongs><em> them </em>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="4994">Oh</strongs>, <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="8441">abominable</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I <strongs number="8130">hate</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>But they <strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="5186">inclined</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="241">ear</strongs>to <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>from their <strongs number="4480 7451">wickedness</strongs>, to <strongs number="6999">burn</strongs><strongs number="1115">no</strongs>incense unto <strongs number="312">other</strongs><strongs number="430">gods</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Wherefore my <strongs number="2534">fury</strongs>and mine <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>was poured <strongs number="5413">forth</strongs>, and was <strongs number="1197">kindled</strongs>in the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and in the <strongs number="2351">streets</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>; and they <strongs number="1961">are</strongs><strongs number="2723">wasted</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="8077">desolate</strongs>, as at <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='10'>They are <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1792">humbled</strongs><em> even </em><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>have they <strongs number="3372">feared</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in my <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>, nor in my <strongs number="2708">statutes</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>I <strongs number="5414">set</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>you and <strongs number="6440">before</strongs>your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="7760">set</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>against you for <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, and to cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And I will <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7611">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>have <strongs number="7760">set</strongs>their <strongs number="6440">faces</strongs>to go <strongs number="935">into</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>to <strongs number="1481">sojourn</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>be <strongs number="8552">consumed</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>; they shall <em> even </em>be <strongs number="8552">consumed</strongs>by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs><em> and </em>by the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, from the <strongs number="4480 6996">least</strongs>even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1419">greatest</strongs>, by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>and by the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>: and they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>an <strongs number="423">execration</strongs>, <em> and </em>an <strongs number="8047">astonishment</strongs>, and a <strongs number="7045">curse</strongs>, and a <strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>For I will <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs>them that <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>I have <strongs number="6485 5921">punished</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, by the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>, and by the <strongs number="1698">pestilence</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='14'>So that <strongs number="3808">none</strongs>of the <strongs number="7611">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, which are <strongs number="935">gone</strongs>into the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>to <strongs number="1481">sojourn</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, <strongs number="1961">shall</strongs><strongs number="6412">escape</strongs>or <strongs number="8300">remain</strongs>, that they should <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>into the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, to the <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1992">they</strongs>have a <strongs number="5375 *853 5315">desire</strongs>to <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>to <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="3808">none</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="3588 518">but</strongs>such as shall <strongs number="6412">escape</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='16'><em> As </em><em> for </em>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>us in the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, we will <strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearken</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3588">But</strongs>we will certainly <strongs number="6213 6213">do</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605 834">whatsoever</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs>goeth <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>out of our own <strongs number="4480 6310">mouth</strongs>, to burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>unto the <strongs number="4446">queen</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and to pour <strongs number="5258">out</strongs>drink <strongs number="5262">offerings</strongs>unto her, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>we have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>, <strongs number="587">we</strongs>, and our <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, our <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>, and our <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, in the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="2351">streets</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>: for <em> then </em>had we <strongs number="7646">plenty</strongs>of <strongs number="3899">victuals</strongs>, and <strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="2896">well</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>But <strongs number="4480 227">since</strongs>we left <strongs number="2308">off</strongs>to burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>to the <strongs number="4446">queen</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and to pour <strongs number="5258">out</strongs>drink <strongs number="5262">offerings</strongs>unto her, we have <strongs number="2637">wanted</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> things </em>, and have been <strongs number="8552">consumed</strongs>by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>and by the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And <strongs number="3588">when</strongs><strongs number="587">we</strongs>burned <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>to the <strongs number="4446">queen</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and poured <strongs number="5258">out</strongs>drink <strongs number="5262">offerings</strongs>unto her, did we <strongs number="6213">make</strongs>her <strongs number="3561">cakes</strongs>to <strongs number="6087">worship</strongs>her, and pour <strongs number="5258">out</strongs>drink <strongs number="5262">offerings</strongs>unto her, <strongs number="4480 1107">without</strongs>our <strongs number="376">men</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='20'>Then <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1397">men</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="802">women</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">to</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>which had given him <em> that </em><strongs number="6030 *853 1697">answer</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>

      <verse number='22'>So that the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="3201">could</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">longer</strongs><strongs number="5375">bear</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="7455">evil</strongs>of your <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="8441">abominations</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>ye have <strongs number="6213">committed</strongs>; therefore <strongs number="1961">is</strongs>your <strongs number="776">land</strongs>a <strongs number="2723">desolation</strongs>, and an <strongs number="8047">astonishment</strongs>, and a <strongs number="7045">curse</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 369">without</strongs>an <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>, as at <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="4480 6440 834">Because</strongs>ye have burned <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">because</strongs>ye have <strongs number="2398">sinned</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">obeyed</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in his <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>, nor in his <strongs number="2708">statutes</strongs>, nor in his <strongs number="5715">testimonies</strongs>; <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>is happened <strongs number="7122">unto</strongs>you, as at <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>Moreover <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="802">women</strongs>, <strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> are </em>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='29'>And <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>a <strongs number="226">sign</strongs>unto you, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs>will <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs>you in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>, <strongs number="4616">that</strongs>ye may <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>my <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>shall surely <strongs number="6965 6965">stand</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>you for <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='30'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>Pharaoh <strongs number="6548">Hophra</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of his <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of them that <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>his <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>; <strongs number="834">as</strongs>I <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, his <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>, and that <strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>his <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>. </verse>
