      <verse number='1'>Now it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in the <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><strongs number="2320">month</strongs>, <em> that </em><strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5418">Nethaniah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="476">Elishama</strongs>, of the <strongs number="4480 2233">seed</strongs><strongs number="4410">royal</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7227">princes</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, even <strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="1436">Gedaliah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="296">Ahikam</strongs>to <strongs number="4708">Mizpah</strongs>; and <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>they did <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>in <strongs number="4709">Mizpah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Then <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs><strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5418">Nethaniah</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, and <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1436">Gedaliah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="296">Ahikam</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="8227">Shaphan</strongs>with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, and <strongs number="4191">slew</strongs>him, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>had made <strongs number="6485">governor</strongs>over the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>also <strongs number="5221">slew</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3064">Jews</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, <em> even </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="1436">Gedaliah</strongs>, at <strongs number="4709">Mizpah</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>were <strongs number="4672">found</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, <em> and </em>the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>the <strongs number="8145">second</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>after he had <strongs number="4191">slain</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1436">Gedaliah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><em> it </em>, </verse>
      <verse number='5'>That there <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="376">certain</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 7927">Shechem</strongs>, from <strongs number="4480 7887">Shiloh</strongs>, and from <strongs number="4480 8111">Samaria</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="8084">fourscore</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>, having their <strongs number="2206">beards</strongs><strongs number="1548">shaven</strongs>, and their <strongs number="899">clothes</strongs><strongs number="7167">rent</strongs>, and having cut <strongs number="1413">themselves</strongs>, with <strongs number="4503">offerings</strongs>and <strongs number="3828">incense</strongs>in their <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, to <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><em> them </em>to the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5418">Nethaniah</strongs>went <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="4709">Mizpah</strongs>to <strongs number="7125">meet</strongs>them, <strongs number="1058">weeping</strongs>all along as he <strongs number="1980 1980">went</strongs>: and it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, as he <strongs number="6298">met</strongs>them, he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="935">Come</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1436">Gedaliah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="296">Ahikam</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And it <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><em> so </em>, when they <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs>of the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, that <strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5418">Nethaniah</strongs><strongs number="7819">slew</strongs>them, <em> and </em><em> cast </em><em> them </em><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs>of the <strongs number="953">pit</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>, and the <strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>But <strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>were <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>among them that <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>, <strongs number="4191">Slay</strongs>us <strongs number="408">not</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>we <strongs number="3426">have</strongs><strongs number="4301">treasures</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>, of <strongs number="2406">wheat</strongs>, and of <strongs number="8184">barley</strongs>, and of <strongs number="8081">oil</strongs>, and of <strongs number="1706">honey</strongs>.       <verse number='13'>Now it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <em> that </em>when <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3110">Johanan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7143">Kareah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of the <strongs number="2428">forces</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, then they were <strongs number="8055">glad</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>So <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>had carried away <strongs number="7617">captive</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="4709">Mizpah</strongs>cast <strongs number="5437">about</strongs>and <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3110">Johanan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7143">Kareah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>But <strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5418">Nethaniah</strongs><strongs number="4422">escaped</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">from</strongs><strongs number="3110">Johanan</strongs>with <strongs number="8083">eight</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1121 5983">Ammonites</strongs>. </verse>
