      <verse number='1'><strongs number="3588">Nevertheless</strongs>the <strongs number="4155">dimness</strongs><em> shall </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><em> be </em>such <strongs number="834">as</strongs><em> was </em>in her <strongs number="4164">vexation</strongs>, <strongs number="6256">when</strongs>at the <strongs number="7223">first</strongs>he lightly <strongs number="7043">afflicted</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="2074">Zebulun</strongs>and the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="5321">Naphtali</strongs>, and <strongs number="314">afterward</strongs>did more grievously <strongs number="3513">afflict</strongs><em> her </em><em> by </em>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, <strongs number="5676">beyond</strongs><strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs>, in <strongs number="1551">Galilee</strongs>of the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>The <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>that <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in <strongs number="2822">darkness</strongs>have <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="216">light</strongs>: they that <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the shadow of <strongs number="6757">death</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them hath the <strongs number="216">light</strongs><strongs number="5050">shined</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Thou hast <strongs number="7235">multiplied</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1431">increased</strongs>the <strongs number="8057">joy</strongs>: they <strongs number="8055">joy</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>thee according to the <strongs number="8057">joy</strongs>in <strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="834">as</strongs><em> men </em><strongs number="1523">rejoice</strongs>when they <strongs number="2505">divide</strongs>the <strongs number="7998">spoil</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='5'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="5430">battle</strongs>of the <strongs number="5431">warrior</strongs><em> is </em>with confused <strongs number="7494">noise</strongs>, and <strongs number="8071">garments</strongs><strongs number="1556">rolled</strongs>in <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>; but <em> this </em>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>with <strongs number="8316">burning</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="3980">fuel</strongs>of <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='7'>Of the <strongs number="4766">increase</strongs>of <em> his </em><strongs number="4951">government</strongs>and <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs><em> there </em><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="7093">end</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>his <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>, to <strongs number="3559">order</strongs>it, and to <strongs number="5582">establish</strongs>it with <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>and with <strongs number="6666">justice</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6258">henceforth</strongs>even <strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs>.       <verse number='8'>The <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>a <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>into <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>, and it hath <strongs number="5307">lighted</strongs>upon <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>shall <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>of <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>, that <strongs number="559">say</strongs>in the <strongs number="1346">pride</strongs>and <strongs number="1433">stoutness</strongs>of <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='10'>The <strongs number="3843">bricks</strongs>are fallen <strongs number="5307">down</strongs>, but we will <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>with hewn <strongs number="1496">stones</strongs>: the <strongs number="8256">sycamores</strongs>are cut <strongs number="1438">down</strongs>, but we will <strongs number="2498">change</strongs><em> them </em><em> into </em><strongs number="730">cedars</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Therefore the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall set <strongs number="7682">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6862">adversaries</strongs>of <strongs number="7526">Rezin</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>him, and join his enemies <strongs number="5526 *853 341">together</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='12'>The <strongs number="758">Syrians</strongs><strongs number="4480 6924">before</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="4480 268">behind</strongs>; and they shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">open</strongs><strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>. For <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>his <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>is <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>turned <strongs number="7725">away</strongs>, but his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><em> is </em>stretched <strongs number="5186">out</strongs><strongs number="5750">still</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>For the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7725">turneth</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>him that <strongs number="5221">smiteth</strongs>them, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>do they <strongs number="1875">seek</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Therefore the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="7218">head</strongs>and <strongs number="2180">tail</strongs>, <strongs number="3712">branch</strongs>and <strongs number="100">rush</strongs>, in <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>The <strongs number="2205">ancient</strongs>and <strongs number="5375 6440">honorable</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>; and the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>that <strongs number="3384">teacheth</strongs><strongs number="8267">lies</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="2180">tail</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>For the <strongs number="833">leaders</strongs>of <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>cause <em> them </em>to <strongs number="8582">err</strongs>; and <em> they </em><em> that </em><em> are </em><strongs number="833">led</strongs>of them <em> are </em><strongs number="1104">destroyed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="5921 3651">Therefore</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>shall have <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="8055">joy</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>their young <strongs number="970">men</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>shall have <strongs number="7355">mercy</strongs>on their <strongs number="3490">fatherless</strongs>and <strongs number="490">widows</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="2611">hypocrite</strongs>and an <strongs number="7489">evildoer</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs><strongs number="1696">speaketh</strongs><strongs number="5039">folly</strongs>. For <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>his <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>is <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>turned <strongs number="7725">away</strongs>, but his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><em> is </em>stretched <strongs number="5186">out</strongs><strongs number="5750">still</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="7564">wickedness</strongs><strongs number="1197">burneth</strongs>as the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>: it shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>the <strongs number="8068">briers</strongs>and <strongs number="7898">thorns</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="3341">kindle</strongs>in the <strongs number="5442">thickets</strongs>of the <strongs number="3293">forest</strongs>, and they shall mount <strongs number="55">up</strongs><em> like </em>the lifting <strongs number="1348">up</strongs>of <strongs number="6227">smoke</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>Through the <strongs number="5678">wrath</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>is the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="6272">darkened</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as the <strongs number="3980">fuel</strongs>of the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>: <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>shall <strongs number="2550 413">spare</strongs>his <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And he shall <strongs number="1504">snatch</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the right <strongs number="3225">hand</strongs>, and be <strongs number="7456">hungry</strongs>; and he shall <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the left <strongs number="8040">hand</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="7646">satisfied</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>the <strongs number="1320">flesh</strongs>of his own <strongs number="2220">arm</strongs>: </verse>
