      <verse number='1'>On <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>they <strongs number="7121">read</strongs>in the <strongs number="5612">book</strongs>of <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>in the <strongs number="241">audience</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; and therein was <strongs number="4672">found</strongs><strongs number="3789">written</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>the <strongs number="5984">Ammonite</strongs>and the <strongs number="4125">Moabite</strongs>should <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs>into the <strongs number="6951">congregation</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>they <strongs number="6923">met</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>with <strongs number="3899">bread</strongs>and with <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>, but <strongs number="7936">hired</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1109">Balaam</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>them, that he should <strongs number="7043">curse</strongs>them: howbeit our <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="2015">turned</strongs>the <strongs number="7045">curse</strongs>into a <strongs number="1293">blessing</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Now it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when they had <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>, that they <strongs number="914">separated</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the mixed <strongs number="6154">multitude</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="4480 2088">this</strongs>, <strongs number="475">Eliashib</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, having the <strongs number="5414">oversight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3957">chamber</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <em> was </em><strongs number="7138">allied</strongs>unto <strongs number="2900">Tobiah</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And he had <strongs number="6213">prepared</strongs>for him a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="3957">chamber</strongs>, <strongs number="8033">where</strongs><strongs number="6440 1961">formerly</strongs>they <strongs number="5414">laid</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the meat <strongs number="4503">offerings</strongs>, the <strongs number="3828">frankincense</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3627">vessels</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4643">tithes</strongs>of the <strongs number="1715">corn</strongs>, the new <strongs number="8492">wine</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3323">oil</strongs>, which was <strongs number="4687">commanded</strongs><em> to </em><em> be </em><em> given </em>to the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7891">singers</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7778">porters</strongs>; and the <strongs number="8641">offerings</strongs>of the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>But in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> time </em><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>I at <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>in the <strongs number="8147">two</strongs>and <strongs number="7970">thirtieth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of <strongs number="783">Artaxerxes</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>I <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, and <strongs number="7093">after</strongs>certain <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>obtained I <strongs number="7592">leave</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='8'>And it <strongs number="7489">grieved</strongs>me <strongs number="3966">sore</strongs>: therefore I cast <strongs number="7993">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">household</strongs><strongs number="3627">stuff</strongs>of <strongs number="2900">Tobiah</strongs><strongs number="2351">out</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3957">chamber</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Then I <strongs number="559">commanded</strongs>, and they <strongs number="2891">cleansed</strongs>the <strongs number="3957">chambers</strongs>: and <strongs number="8033">thither</strongs>brought I <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>the <strongs number="3627">vessels</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="854">with</strongs>the meat <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>and the <strongs number="3828">frankincense</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And I <strongs number="3045">perceived</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="4521">portions</strongs>of the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>had <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>been <strongs number="5414">given</strongs><em> them </em>: for the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>and the <strongs number="7891">singers</strongs>, that <strongs number="6213">did</strongs>the <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>, were <strongs number="1272">fled</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>to his <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Then <strongs number="7378">contended</strongs>I <strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="5461">rulers</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4069">Why</strongs>is the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5800">forsaken</strongs>? And I gathered them <strongs number="6908">together</strongs>, and <strongs number="5975">set</strongs>them <strongs number="5921">in</strongs>their <strongs number="5977">place</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Then <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>the <strongs number="4643">tithe</strongs>of the <strongs number="1715">corn</strongs>and the new <strongs number="8492">wine</strongs>and the <strongs number="3323">oil</strongs>unto the <strongs number="214">treasuries</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'><strongs number="2142">Remember</strongs>me, O my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>, and wipe not <strongs number="4229 408">out</strongs>my good <strongs number="2617">deeds</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>for the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="4929">offices</strongs>thereof. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>In <strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>I in <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><em> some </em><strongs number="1869">treading</strongs>wine <strongs number="1660">presses</strongs>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>, and bringing <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="6194">sheaves</strongs>, and <strongs number="6006 5921">lading</strongs><strongs number="2543">asses</strongs>; as <strongs number="637">also</strongs><strongs number="3196">wine</strongs>, <strongs number="6025">grapes</strongs>, and <strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> manner </em><em> of </em><strongs number="4853">burdens</strongs>, which they brought <strongs number="935">into</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>: and I <strongs number="5749">testified</strongs><em> against </em><em> them </em>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>wherein they <strongs number="4376">sold</strongs><strongs number="6718">victuals</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>There <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>men of <strongs number="6876">Tyre</strongs>also therein, which <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="1709">fish</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>manner of <strongs number="4377">ware</strongs>, and <strongs number="4376">sold</strongs>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='21'>Then I <strongs number="5749">testified</strongs>against them, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="4069">Why</strongs><strongs number="3885">lodge</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="5048">about</strongs>the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>? <strongs number="518">if</strongs>ye do <em> so </em><strongs number="8138">again</strongs>, I will <strongs number="7971">lay</strongs><strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>on you. <strongs number="4480">From</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>forth <strongs number="935">came</strongs>they <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><em> more </em>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='24'>And their <strongs number="1121">children</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="2677">half</strongs>in the speech of <strongs number="797">Ashdod</strongs>, and <strongs number="5234">could</strongs><strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="1696">speak</strongs>in the Jews' <strongs number="3066">language</strongs>, but according to the <strongs number="3956">language</strongs>of <strongs number="5971">each</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='28'>And <em> one </em>of the <strongs number="4480 1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="3111">Joiada</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="475">Eliashib</strongs>the <strongs number="1419">high</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, <em> was </em>son in <strongs number="2860">law</strongs>to <strongs number="5571">Sanballat</strongs>the <strongs number="2772">Horonite</strongs>: therefore I <strongs number="1272">chased</strongs>him <strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='29'><strongs number="2142">Remember</strongs>them, O my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">because</strongs>they have <strongs number="1352">defiled</strongs>the <strongs number="3550">priesthood</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>of the <strongs number="3550">priesthood</strongs>, and of the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'>Thus <strongs number="2891">cleansed</strongs>I them from <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs><strongs number="5236">strangers</strongs>, and <strongs number="5975">appointed</strongs>the <strongs number="4931">wards</strongs>of the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>, every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>in his <strongs number="4399">business</strongs>; </verse>
