      <verse number='28'>I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, <strongs number="5375">forgive</strongs>the <strongs number="6588">trespass</strongs>of thine <strongs number="519">handmaid</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will certainly <strongs number="6213 6213">make</strongs>my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs>a <strongs number="539">sure</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs><strongs number="3898">fighteth</strongs>the <strongs number="4421">battles</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>hath <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>been <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>in thee <em> all </em>thy <strongs number="4480 3117">days</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'>Yet a <strongs number="120">man</strongs>is <strongs number="6965">risen</strongs>to <strongs number="7291">pursue</strongs>thee, and to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>: but the <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>of my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="6887">bound</strongs>in the <strongs number="6872">bundle</strongs>of <strongs number="2416">life</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>; and the <strongs number="5315">souls</strongs>of thine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, them shall he sling <strongs number="7049">out</strongs>, <em> as </em><em> out </em>of the <strongs number="8432">middle</strongs>of a <strongs number="7050">sling</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='35'>So <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3947">received</strongs>of her <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><em> that </em><strongs number="834">which</strongs>she had <strongs number="935">brought</strongs>him, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto her, Go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>in <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>to thine <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>, I have <strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs>to thy <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, and have <strongs number="5375">accepted</strongs>thy <strongs number="6440">person</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='36'>And <strongs number="26">Abigail</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="5037">Nabal</strongs>; and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, he held a <strongs number="4960">feast</strongs>in his <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, like the <strongs number="4960">feast</strongs>of a <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>; and <strongs number="5037">Nabal</strongs>'s <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="2896">merry</strongs><strongs number="5921">within</strongs>him, for <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5704 3966">very</strongs><strongs number="7910">drunken</strongs>: wherefore she <strongs number="5046">told</strongs>him <strongs number="3808 1697">nothing</strongs>, <strongs number="6996">less</strongs>or <strongs number="1419">more</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs><strongs number="216">light</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='37'>But it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, when the <strongs number="3196">wine</strongs>was gone <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 5037">Nabal</strongs>, and his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>had <strongs number="5046">told</strongs>him <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">things</strongs>, that his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs><strongs number="4191">died</strongs><strongs number="7130">within</strongs>him, and <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="1961">became</strongs><em> as </em>a <strongs number="68">stone</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='38'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>about <strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs><em> after </em>, that the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5062">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="5037">Nabal</strongs>, that he <strongs number="4191">died</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='39'>And when <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="5037">Nabal</strongs>was <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs>, he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="1288">Blessed</strongs><em> be </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>hath <strongs number="7378">pleaded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7379">cause</strongs>of my <strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="5037">Nabal</strongs>, and hath <strongs number="2820">kept</strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 7451">evil</strongs>: for the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>of <strongs number="5037">Nabal</strongs>upon his own <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>. And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>and <strongs number="1696">communed</strongs>with <strongs number="26">Abigail</strongs>, to <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>her to him to <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='40'>And when the <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>were <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="26">Abigail</strongs>to <strongs number="3760">Carmel</strongs>, they <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>her, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>us <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>thee, to <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>thee to him to <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='41'>And she <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>, and bowed <strongs number="7812">herself</strongs>on <em> her </em><strongs number="639">face</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, <em> let </em>thine <strongs number="519">handmaid</strongs><em> be </em>a <strongs number="8198">servant</strongs>to <strongs number="7364">wash</strongs>the <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>of the <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>of my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='42'>And <strongs number="26">Abigail</strongs><strongs number="4116">hasted</strongs>, and <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>, and <strongs number="7392">rode</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>an <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>, with <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="5291">damsels</strongs>of hers that <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="7272">after</strongs>her; and she <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>the <strongs number="4397">messengers</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, and <strongs number="1961">became</strongs>his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='43'><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>also <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="293">Ahinoam</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 3157">Jezreel</strongs>; and they <strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="8147">both</strongs>of them his <strongs number="802">wives</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='44'>But <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>had <strongs number="5414">given</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4324">Michal</strongs>his <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>, <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, to <strongs number="6406">Phalti</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3919">Laish</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> was </em>of <strongs number="4480 1554">Gallim</strongs>. </verse>
