      <verse number='2'><em> And </em><em> it </em><em> was </em><em> told </em>the <strongs number="5841">Gazites</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>is <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="2008">hither</strongs>. And they <strongs number="5437">compassed</strongs><em> him </em>in, and laid <strongs number="693">wait</strongs>for him <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3915">night</strongs>in the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>of the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, and were <strongs number="2790">quiet</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, In the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">when</strongs>it is <strongs number="216">day</strongs>, we shall <strongs number="2026">kill</strongs>him. </verse>

      <verse number='9'>Now <em> there </em><em> were </em>men lying in <strongs number="693">wait</strongs>, <strongs number="3427">abiding</strongs>with her in the <strongs number="2315">chamber</strongs>.       <verse number='14'>And she <strongs number="8628">fastened</strongs><em> it </em>with the <strongs number="3489">pin</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, The <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>thee, <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>. And he <strongs number="3364">awaked</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 8142">sleep</strongs>, and went <strongs number="5265">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>with the <strongs number="3489">pin</strongs>of the <strongs number="708">beam</strongs>, and with the <strongs number="4545">web</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And she <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="349">How</strongs>canst thou <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, I <strongs number="157">love</strongs>thee, when thine <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>me? thou hast <strongs number="2048">mocked</strongs>me these <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="6471">times</strongs>, and hast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5046">told</strongs>me <strongs number="4100">wherein</strongs>thy <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="3581">strength</strongs><em> lieth </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">when</strongs>she <strongs number="6693">pressed</strongs>him <strongs number="3605 3117">daily</strongs>with her <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>, and <strongs number="509">urged</strongs>him, <em> so </em>that his <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>was <strongs number="7114">vexed</strongs>unto <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='17'>That he <strongs number="5046">told</strongs>her <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto her, There hath <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5927">come</strongs>a <strongs number="4177">razor</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>mine <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> have </em><em> been </em>a <strongs number="5139">Nazarite</strongs>unto <strongs number="430">God</strongs>from my <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="4480 990">womb</strongs>: <strongs number="518">if</strongs>I be <strongs number="1548">shaven</strongs>, then my <strongs number="3581">strength</strongs>will <strongs number="5493">go</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>me, and I shall become <strongs number="2470">weak</strongs>, and <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>like <strongs number="3605">any</strongs><em> other </em><strongs number="120">man</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And when <strongs number="1807">Delilah</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="5046">told</strongs>her <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>, she <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>and <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>for the <strongs number="5633">lords</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>this <strongs number="6471">once</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he hath <strongs number="5046">showed</strongs>me <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>.       <verse number='19'>And she made him <strongs number="3462">sleep</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>her <strongs number="1290">knees</strongs>; and she <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>for a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>, and she caused him to shave <strongs number="1548">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="4253">locks</strongs>of his <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>; and she <strongs number="2490">began</strongs>to <strongs number="6031">afflict</strongs>him, and his <strongs number="3581">strength</strongs><strongs number="5493">went</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And she <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, The <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>thee, <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>. And he <strongs number="3364">awoke</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 8142">sleep</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I will go <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>as at other times <strongs number="6471 6471">before</strongs>, and shake <strongs number="5287">myself</strongs>. And <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>was <strongs number="5493">departed</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>But the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="270">took</strongs>him, and put <strongs number="5365">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, and brought him <strongs number="3381 *853">down</strongs>to <strongs number="5804">Gaza</strongs>, and <strongs number="631">bound</strongs>him with fetters of <strongs number="5178">brass</strongs>; and he <strongs number="1961">did</strongs><strongs number="2912">grind</strongs>in the <strongs number="615">prison</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>Howbeit the <strongs number="8181">hair</strongs>of his <strongs number="7218">head</strongs><strongs number="2490">began</strongs>to grow <strongs number="6779">again</strongs><strongs number="834">after</strongs>he was <strongs number="1548">shaven</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>Then the <strongs number="5633">lords</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>gathered them <strongs number="622">together</strongs>for to <strongs number="2076">offer</strongs>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>unto <strongs number="1712">Dagon</strongs>their <strongs number="430">god</strongs>, and to <strongs number="8057">rejoice</strongs>: for they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Our <strongs number="430">god</strongs>hath <strongs number="5414">delivered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>our <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>into our <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>And when the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>him, they <strongs number="1984">praised</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="430">god</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Our <strongs number="430">god</strongs>hath <strongs number="5414">delivered</strongs>into our <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>our <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2717">destroyer</strongs>of our <strongs number="776">country</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>slew <strongs number="7235 *853 2491">many</strongs>of us. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">when</strongs>their <strongs number="3820">hearts</strongs>were <strongs number="2896">merry</strongs>, that they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="7121">Call</strongs>for <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>, that he may make us <strongs number="7832">sport</strongs>. And they <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>for <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>out of the prison <strongs number="4480 1004 615">house</strongs>; and he made them <strongs number="6711 6440">sport</strongs>: and they <strongs number="5975">set</strongs>him <strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="5982">pillars</strongs>. </verse>
