      <verse number='2'><strongs number="5124">This</strongs><strongs number="3440">only</strongs><strongs number="2309">would</strongs>I <strongs number="3129">learn</strongs><strongs number="575">of</strongs><strongs number="5216">you</strongs>, <strongs number="2983">Received</strongs>ye <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4151">Spirit</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs>the <strongs number="2041">works</strongs>of the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs>, <strongs number="2228">or</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs>the <strongs number="189">hearing</strongs>of <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="2075">Are</strongs>ye <strongs number="3779">so</strongs><strongs number="453">foolish</strongs>? having <strongs number="1728">begun</strongs>in the <strongs number="4151">Spirit</strongs>, are ye <strongs number="3568">now</strongs>made <strongs number="2005">perfect</strongs>by the <strongs number="4561">flesh</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Have ye <strongs number="3958">suffered</strongs>so many <strongs number="5118">things</strongs>in <strongs number="1500">vain</strongs>? <strongs number="1489">if</strongs><em> it </em><em> be </em><strongs number="2532">yet</strongs>in <strongs number="1500">vain</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>He therefore that <strongs number="2023 3767">ministereth</strongs>to <strongs number="5213">you</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4151">Spirit</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="1754">worketh</strongs><strongs number="1411">miracles</strongs><strongs number="1722">among</strongs><strongs number="5213">you</strongs>, <em> doeth </em><em> he </em><em> it </em><strongs number="1537">by</strongs>the <strongs number="2041">works</strongs>of the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs>, <strongs number="2228">or</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs>the <strongs number="189">hearing</strongs>of <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Even <strongs number="2531">as</strongs><strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="4100">believed</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>it was <strongs number="3049">accounted</strongs>to <strongs number="846">him</strongs><strongs number="1519">for</strongs><strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="1097">Know</strongs>ye <strongs number="686">therefore</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs><strongs number="3588">they</strongs>which are <strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>, the <strongs number="3778">same</strongs><strongs number="1526">are</strongs>the <strongs number="5207">children</strongs>of <strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="1161">And</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1124">Scripture</strongs>, <strongs number="4275">foreseeing</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>would <strongs number="1344">justify</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1484">heathen</strongs><strongs number="1537">through</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>, preached before the <strongs number="4283">gospel</strongs>unto <strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs>, <em> saying, </em><strongs number="1722">In</strongs><strongs number="4671">thee</strongs>shall <strongs number="3956">all</strongs><strongs number="1484">nations</strongs>be <strongs number="1757">blessed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>So <strongs number="5620">then</strongs><strongs number="3588">they</strongs>which be <strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>are <strongs number="2127">blessed</strongs><strongs number="4862">with</strongs><strongs number="4103">faithful</strongs><strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>as many <strongs number="3745">as</strongs><strongs number="1526">are</strongs><strongs number="1537">of</strongs>the <strongs number="2041">works</strongs>of the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs><strongs number="1526">are</strongs><strongs number="5259">under</strongs>the <strongs number="2671">curse</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs>it is <strongs number="1125">written</strongs>, <strongs number="1944">Cursed</strongs><em> is </em>every <strongs number="3956">one</strongs><strongs number="3739">that</strongs><strongs number="1696">continueth</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>all <strongs number="3956">things</strongs>which are <strongs number="1125">written</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="975">book</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs>to <strongs number="4160">do</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs>no <strongs number="3762">man</strongs>is <strongs number="1344">justified</strongs><strongs number="1722">by</strongs>the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs>in the <strongs number="3844">sight</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <em> it </em><em> is </em><strongs number="1212">evident</strongs>: <strongs number="3754">for</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">The</strongs><strongs number="1342">just</strongs>shall <strongs number="2198">live</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="1161">And</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs><strongs number="2076">is</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>: <strongs number="235">but</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">The</strongs><strongs number="444">man</strongs>that <strongs number="4160">doeth</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs>shall <strongs number="2198">live</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>hath <strongs number="1805">redeemed</strongs><strongs number="2248">us</strongs><strongs number="1537">from</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2671">curse</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs>, being <strongs number="1096">made</strongs>a <strongs number="2671">curse</strongs><strongs number="5228">for</strongs><strongs number="2257">us</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs>it is <strongs number="1125">written</strongs>, <strongs number="1944">Cursed</strongs><em> is </em>every <strongs number="3956">one</strongs>that <strongs number="2910">hangeth</strongs><strongs number="1909">on</strongs>a <strongs number="3586">tree</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='15'><strongs number="80">Brethren</strongs>, I <strongs number="3004">speak</strongs>after the <strongs number="2596">manner</strongs>of <strongs number="444">men</strongs>; <strongs number="3676">Though</strongs><em> it </em><em> be </em>but a <strongs number="444">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="1242">covenant</strongs>, yet <em> if </em><em> it </em><em> be </em><strongs number="2964">confirmed</strongs>, no <strongs number="3762">man</strongs><strongs number="114">disannulleth</strongs>, <strongs number="2228">or</strongs>addeth <strongs number="1928">thereto</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='17'><strongs number="1161">And</strongs><strongs number="5124">this</strongs>I <strongs number="3004">say</strongs>, <em> that </em>the <strongs number="1242">covenant</strongs>, that was confirmed <strongs number="4300">before</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="1519">in</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs>, which <strongs number="1096">was</strongs>four <strongs number="5071">hundred</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="5144">thirty</strongs><strongs number="2094">years</strongs><strongs number="3326">after</strongs>, cannot <strongs number="208 3756">disannul</strongs>, that it should make the promise of none <strongs number="2673 3588 1860">effect</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2817">inheritance</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="1537">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs>, <em> it </em><em> is </em>no <strongs number="3765">more</strongs><strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="1860">promise</strongs>: <strongs number="1161">but</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="5483">gave</strongs><em> it </em>to <strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="1860">promise</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="5101">Wherefore</strongs><strongs number="3767">then</strongs><em> serveth </em><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs>? It was <strongs number="4369">added</strongs><strongs number="5484">because</strongs>of <strongs number="3847">transgressions</strongs>, <strongs number="891 3757">till</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4690">seed</strongs>should <strongs number="2064">come</strongs>to <strongs number="3739">whom</strongs>the promise was <strongs number="1861">made</strongs>; <em> and </em><em> it </em><em> was </em><strongs number="1299">ordained</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="32">angels</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>the <strongs number="5495">hand</strongs>of a <strongs number="3316">mediator</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="1161">Now</strongs>a <strongs number="3316">mediator</strongs><strongs number="2076">is</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><em> a </em><em> mediator </em>of <strongs number="1520">one</strongs>, <strongs number="1161">but</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="2076">is</strongs><strongs number="1520">one</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><em> Is </em><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs><strongs number="3767">then</strongs><strongs number="2596">against</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1860">promises</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>? God <strongs number="1096 3361">forbid</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs>there had been a <strongs number="3551">law</strongs><strongs number="1325">given</strongs>which <strongs number="1410">could</strongs>have given <strongs number="2227">life</strongs>, <strongs number="3689 302">verily</strongs><strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>should have <strongs number="2258">been</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs>the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="235">But</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1124">Scripture</strongs>hath <strongs number="4788">concluded</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs><strongs number="5259">under</strongs><strongs number="266">sin</strongs>, <strongs number="2443">that</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1860">promise</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>of <strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>might be <strongs number="1325">given</strongs>to them that <strongs number="4100">believe</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>before <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs><strongs number="2064">came</strongs>, we were <strongs number="5432">kept</strongs><strongs number="5259">under</strongs>the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs>, shut <strongs number="4788">up</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>which should <strongs number="3195">afterwards</strongs>be <strongs number="601">revealed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="5620">Wherefore</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs><strongs number="1096">was</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="3807">schoolmaster</strongs><em> to </em><em> bring </em><em> us </em><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>, <strongs number="2443">that</strongs>we might be <strongs number="1344">justified</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>after that <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>is <strongs number="2064">come</strongs>, we <strongs number="2070">are</strongs>no <strongs number="3765">longer</strongs><strongs number="5259">under</strongs>a <strongs number="3807">schoolmaster</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>ye <strongs number="2075">are</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5207">children</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs>. </verse>
