      <verse number='1'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>my <strongs number="4397">messenger</strongs>, and he shall <strongs number="6437">prepare</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>me: and the <strongs number="113">Lord</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>, shall <strongs number="6597">suddenly</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="1964">temple</strongs>, even the <strongs number="4397">messenger</strongs>of the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="2655">delight</strongs>in: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, he shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>But <strongs number="4310">who</strongs>may <strongs number="3557">abide</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of his <strongs number="935">coming</strongs>? and <strongs number="4310">who</strongs>shall <strongs number="5975">stand</strongs>when he <strongs number="7200">appeareth</strongs>? <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>like a <strongs number="6884">refiner</strongs>'s <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and like <strongs number="3526">fullers</strongs>' <strongs number="1287">soap</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And he shall <strongs number="3427">sit</strongs><em> as </em>a <strongs number="6884">refiner</strongs>and <strongs number="2891">purifier</strongs>of <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>: and he shall <strongs number="2891">purify</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="3878">Levi</strongs>, and <strongs number="2212">purge</strongs>them as <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>and <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>, that they may <strongs number="1961 5066">offer</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>an <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>in <strongs number="6666">righteousness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Then shall the <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>be <strongs number="6149">pleasant</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, as in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of <strongs number="5769">old</strongs>, and as in <strongs number="6931">former</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And I will come <strongs number="7126">near</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>you to <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>; and I will <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="4116">swift</strongs><strongs number="5707">witness</strongs>against the <strongs number="3784">sorcerers</strongs>, and against the <strongs number="5003">adulterers</strongs>, and against <strongs number="8267">false</strongs><strongs number="7650">swearers</strongs>, and against those that <strongs number="6231">oppress</strongs>the <strongs number="7916">hireling</strongs>in <em> his </em><strongs number="7939">wages</strongs>, the <strongs number="490">widow</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3490">fatherless</strongs>, and that turn <strongs number="5186">aside</strongs>the <strongs number="1616">stranger</strongs><em> from </em><em> his </em><em> right </em>, and <strongs number="3372">fear</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>me, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, I <strongs number="8138">change</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>; therefore <strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>are <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3615">consumed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Even from the <strongs number="4480 3117">days</strongs>of your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>ye are gone <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>from mine <strongs number="4480 2706">ordinances</strongs>, and have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8104">kept</strongs><em> them </em>. <strongs number="7725">Return</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, and I will <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>you, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>.       <verse number='8'>Will a <strongs number="120">man</strongs><strongs number="6906">rob</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>? <strongs number="3588">Yet</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs>have <strongs number="6906">robbed</strongs>me. But ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">Wherein</strongs>have we <strongs number="6906">robbed</strongs>thee? In <strongs number="4643">tithes</strongs>and <strongs number="8641">offerings</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="859">Ye</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="779">cursed</strongs>with a <strongs number="3994">curse</strongs>: for <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>have <strongs number="6906">robbed</strongs>me, <em> even </em>this <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="935">Bring</strongs>ye <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4643">tithes</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="1004 214">storehouse</strongs>, that there may <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="2964">meat</strongs>in mine <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="974">prove</strongs>me <strongs number="4994">now</strongs><strongs number="2063">herewith</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="518">if</strongs>I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6605">open</strongs>you <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="699">windows</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and pour you <strongs number="7324">out</strongs>a <strongs number="1293">blessing</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">that</strongs><em> there </em><em> shall </em><strongs number="1097">not</strongs><em> be </em><em> room </em><strongs number="1767">enough</strongs><em> to </em><em> receive </em><em> it </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And I will <strongs number="1605">rebuke</strongs>the <strongs number="398">devourer</strongs>for your sakes, and he shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6529">fruits</strongs>of your <strongs number="127">ground</strongs>; <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>shall your <strongs number="1612">vine</strongs>cast her fruit before the <strongs number="7921">time</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>shall call you <strongs number="833 *853">blessed</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="2656">delightful</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Your <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>have been <strongs number="2388">stout</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>me, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. Yet ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs>have we <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><em> so </em><em> much </em><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>thee? </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Ye have <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, It <em> is </em><strongs number="7723">vain</strongs>to <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>: and <strongs number="4100">what</strongs><strongs number="1215">profit</strongs><em> is </em><em> it </em><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>we have <strongs number="8104">kept</strongs>his <strongs number="4931">ordinance</strongs>, and <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>we have <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs><strongs number="6941">mournfully</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="6258">now</strongs><strongs number="587">we</strongs>call the proud <strongs number="833 2086">happy</strongs>; <strongs number="1571">yea</strongs>, they that <strongs number="6213">work</strongs><strongs number="7564">wickedness</strongs>are set <strongs number="1129">up</strongs>; <strongs number="1571">yea</strongs>, <em> they </em><em> that </em><strongs number="974">tempt</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>are even <strongs number="4422">delivered</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="227">Then</strongs>they that <strongs number="3373">feared</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>often <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="854">to</strongs><strongs number="7453">another</strongs>: and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7181">hearkened</strongs>, and <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><em> it </em>, and a <strongs number="5612">book</strongs>of <strongs number="2146">remembrance</strongs>was <strongs number="3789">written</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>him for them that <strongs number="3372">feared</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and that <strongs number="2803">thought</strongs>upon his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>mine, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, in that <strongs number="3117">day</strongs><strongs number="834">when</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs>make <strongs number="6213">up</strongs>my <strongs number="5459">jewels</strongs>; and I will <strongs number="2550 5921">spare</strongs>them, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="2550 5921">spareth</strongs>his own <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>that <strongs number="5647">serveth</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Then shall ye <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">discern</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs>and the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>, <strongs number="996">between</strongs>him that <strongs number="5647">serveth</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>and <strongs number="834">him</strongs>that <strongs number="5647">serveth</strongs>him <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
