      <verse number='2'><strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>, ye old <strongs number="2205">men</strongs>, and give <strongs number="238">ear</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>ye <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. Hath <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="1961">been</strongs>in your <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, or <strongs number="518">even</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="5608">Tell</strongs>ye your <strongs number="1121">children</strongs><strongs number="5921">of</strongs>it, and <em> let </em>your <strongs number="1121">children</strongs><em> tell </em>their <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>, and their <strongs number="1121">children</strongs><strongs number="312">another</strongs><strongs number="1755">generation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>That which the <strongs number="1501">palmerworm</strongs>hath <strongs number="3499">left</strongs>hath the <strongs number="697">locust</strongs><strongs number="398">eaten</strongs>; and that which the <strongs number="697">locust</strongs>hath <strongs number="3499">left</strongs>hath the <strongs number="3218">cankerworm</strongs><strongs number="398">eaten</strongs>; and that which the <strongs number="3218">cankerworm</strongs>hath <strongs number="3499">left</strongs>hath the <strongs number="2625">caterpillar</strongs><strongs number="398">eaten</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="6974">Awake</strongs>, ye <strongs number="7910">drunkards</strongs>, and <strongs number="1058">weep</strongs>; and <strongs number="3213">howl</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>ye <strongs number="8354">drinkers</strongs>of <strongs number="3196">wine</strongs>, because <strongs number="5921">of</strongs>the new <strongs number="6071">wine</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>it is cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>from your <strongs number="4480 6310">mouth</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='7'>He hath <strongs number="7760">laid</strongs>my <strongs number="1612">vine</strongs><strongs number="8047">waste</strongs>, and <strongs number="7111">barked</strongs>my fig <strongs number="8384">tree</strongs>: he hath made it clean <strongs number="2834 2834">bare</strongs>, and cast <em> it </em><strongs number="7993">away</strongs>; the <strongs number="8299">branches</strongs>thereof are made <strongs number="3835">white</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='10'>The <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>is <strongs number="7703">wasted</strongs>, the <strongs number="127">land</strongs><strongs number="56">mourneth</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="1715">corn</strongs>is <strongs number="7703">wasted</strongs>: the new <strongs number="8492">wine</strongs>is dried <strongs number="3001">up</strongs>, the <strongs number="3323">oil</strongs><strongs number="535">languisheth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Be ye <strongs number="954">ashamed</strongs>, O ye <strongs number="406">husbandmen</strongs>; <strongs number="3213">howl</strongs>, O ye <strongs number="3755">vinedressers</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">for</strongs>the <strongs number="2406">wheat</strongs>and <strongs number="5921">for</strongs>the <strongs number="8184">barley</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>the <strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs>of the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>is <strongs number="6">perished</strongs>. </verse>
