      <verse number='1'><strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>ye <strongs number="2063">this</strongs>, O <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>; and <strongs number="7181">hearken</strongs>, ye <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; and give ye <strongs number="238">ear</strongs>, O <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs><em> is </em>toward you, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>ye have <strongs number="1961">been</strongs>a <strongs number="6341">snare</strongs>on <strongs number="4709">Mizpah</strongs>, and a <strongs number="7568">net</strongs><strongs number="6566">spread</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="8396">Tabor</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And the <strongs number="7846">revolters</strongs>are <strongs number="6009">profound</strongs>to make <strongs number="7819">slaughter</strongs>, though <strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> have </em><em> been </em>a <strongs number="4148">rebuker</strongs>of them <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>, and <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>is <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3582">hid</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>me: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="6258">now</strongs>, O <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>, thou committest <strongs number="2181">whoredom</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>is <strongs number="2930">defiled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>They will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5414">frame</strongs>their <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>to <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of <strongs number="2183">whoredoms</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="7130">midst</strongs>of them, and they have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3045">known</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And the <strongs number="1347">pride</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>doth <strongs number="6030">testify</strongs>to his <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>: therefore shall <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>and <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs><strongs number="3782">fall</strongs>in their <strongs number="5771">iniquity</strongs>; <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>shall <strongs number="3782">fall</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>They shall <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>with their <strongs number="6629">flocks</strongs>and with their <strongs number="1241">herds</strongs>to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; but they shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4672">find</strongs><em> him </em>; he hath <strongs number="2502">withdrawn</strongs>himself <strongs number="4480">from</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>They have dealt <strongs number="898">treacherously</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they have <strongs number="3205">begotten</strongs><strongs number="2114">strange</strongs><strongs number="1121">children</strongs>: <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>shall a <strongs number="2320">month</strongs><strongs number="398">devour</strongs>them <strongs number="854">with</strongs>their <strongs number="2506">portions</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="8628">Blow</strongs>ye the <strongs number="7782">cornet</strongs>in <strongs number="1390">Gibeah</strongs>, <em> and </em>the <strongs number="2689">trumpet</strongs>in <strongs number="7414">Ramah</strongs>: cry <strongs number="7321">aloud</strongs><em> at </em><strongs number="1007">Beth</strongs>-aven, <strongs number="310">after</strongs>thee, O <strongs number="1144">Benjamin</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="8047">desolate</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="8433">rebuke</strongs>: among the <strongs number="7626">tribes</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>have I made <strongs number="3045">known</strongs>that which shall surely <strongs number="539">be</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>The <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="1961">were</strongs>like them that <strongs number="5253">remove</strongs>the <strongs number="1366">bound</strongs>: <em> therefore </em>I will pour <strongs number="8210">out</strongs>my <strongs number="5678">wrath</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them like <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="6231">oppressed</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="7533">broken</strongs>in <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>he <strongs number="2974">willingly</strongs><strongs number="1980">walked</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>the <strongs number="6673">commandment</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Therefore <em> will </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> be </em>unto <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>as a <strongs number="6211">moth</strongs>, and to the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>as <strongs number="7538">rottenness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>When <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="2483">sickness</strongs>, and <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><em> saw </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="4205">wound</strongs>, then <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="804">Assyrian</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="3377">Jareb</strongs>: yet <strongs number="3201">could</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7495">heal</strongs>you, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="1455 4480">cure</strongs>you of your <strongs number="4205">wound</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="595">I</strongs><em> will </em><em> be </em>unto <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>as a <strongs number="7826">lion</strongs>, and as a young <strongs number="3715">lion</strongs>to the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>: <strongs number="589">I</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs>, will <strongs number="2963">tear</strongs>and go <strongs number="1980">away</strongs>; I will take <strongs number="5375">away</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">none</strongs>shall <strongs number="5337">rescue</strongs><em> him </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>I will <strongs number="1980">go</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>my <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>, <strongs number="5704 834">till</strongs>they acknowledge their <strongs number="816">offense</strongs>, and <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>: in their <strongs number="6862">affliction</strongs>they will seek me <strongs number="7836">early</strongs>. </verse>
