      <verse number='1'><strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>ye <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">speaketh</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>you, O <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3925">Learn</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, and be <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="2865">dismayed</strongs>at the <strongs number="4480 226">signs</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>are <strongs number="2865">dismayed</strongs>at <strongs number="4480 1992">them</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="2708">customs</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="1892">vain</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><em> one </em><strongs number="3772">cutteth</strongs>a <strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3293">forest</strongs>, the <strongs number="4639">work</strongs>of the <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>of the <strongs number="2796">workman</strongs>, with the <strongs number="4621">axe</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>They <strongs number="3302">deck</strongs>it with <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>and with <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>; they <strongs number="2388">fasten</strongs>it with <strongs number="4548">nails</strongs>and with <strongs number="4717">hammers</strongs>, that it <strongs number="6328">move</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="1992">They</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="4749">upright</strongs>as the palm <strongs number="8560">tree</strongs>, but <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>: they must needs be <strongs number="5375 5375">borne</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>they <strongs number="3808">cannot</strongs><strongs number="6805">go</strongs>. Be <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="3372">afraid</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>them; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="3808">cannot</strongs>do <strongs number="7489">evil</strongs>, <strongs number="369">neither</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs><em> is </em><em> it </em><strongs number="854">in</strongs>them to do <strongs number="3190">good</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Forasmuch as <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="4480 369">none</strongs>like unto <strongs number="3644">thee</strongs>, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> art </em><strongs number="1419">great</strongs>, and thy <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1419">great</strongs>in <strongs number="1369">might</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="4310">Who</strongs>would <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3372">fear</strongs>thee, O <strongs number="4428">King</strongs>of <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>? <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>to thee doth it <strongs number="2969">appertain</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">forasmuch</strongs>as among <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><em> men </em>of the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="4438">kingdoms</strongs>, <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="4480 369">none</strongs>like unto <strongs number="3644">thee</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>But they are <strongs number="259">altogether</strongs><strongs number="1197">brutish</strongs>and <strongs number="3688">foolish</strongs>: the <strongs number="6086">stock</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="4148">doctrine</strongs>of <strongs number="1892">vanities</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3701">Silver</strongs>spread into <strongs number="7554">plates</strongs>is <strongs number="935">brought</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8659">Tarshish</strongs>, and <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 210">Uphaz</strongs>, the <strongs number="4639">work</strongs>of the <strongs number="2796">workman</strongs>, and of the <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>of the <strongs number="6884">founder</strongs>: <strongs number="8504">blue</strongs>and <strongs number="713">purple</strongs><em> is </em>their <strongs number="3830">clothing</strongs>: they <em> are </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4639">work</strongs>of <strongs number="2450">cunning</strongs><em> men </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>But the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="571">true</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="2416">living</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and an <strongs number="5769">everlasting</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>: at his <strongs number="4480 7110">wrath</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>shall <strongs number="7493">tremble</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be able to <strongs number="3557">abide</strongs>his <strongs number="2195">indignation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="1836">Thus</strongs>shall ye <strongs number="560">say</strongs>unto them, The <strongs number="426">gods</strongs><strongs number="1768">that</strongs>have <strongs number="3809">not</strongs><strongs number="5648">made</strongs>the <strongs number="8065">heavens</strongs>and the <strongs number="778">earth</strongs>, <em> even </em>they shall <strongs number="7">perish</strongs>from the <strongs number="4481 772">earth</strongs>, and <strongs number="4481">from</strongs><strongs number="8460">under</strongs><strongs number="429">these</strongs><strongs number="8065">heavens</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>He hath <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>by his <strongs number="3581">power</strongs>, he hath <strongs number="3559">established</strongs>the <strongs number="8398">world</strongs>by his <strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>, and hath stretched <strongs number="5186">out</strongs>the <strongs number="8064">heavens</strongs>by his <strongs number="8394">discretion</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>When he <strongs number="5414">uttereth</strongs>his <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, <em> there </em><em> is </em>a <strongs number="1995">multitude</strongs>of <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>in the <strongs number="8064">heavens</strongs>, and he causeth the <strongs number="5387">vapors</strongs>to <strongs number="5927">ascend</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 7097">ends</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>; he <strongs number="6213">maketh</strongs><strongs number="1300">lightnings</strongs>with <strongs number="4306">rain</strongs>, and bringeth <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>the <strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 214">treasures</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="3605">Every</strongs><strongs number="120">man</strongs>is <strongs number="1197">brutish</strongs>in <em> his </em><strongs number="4480 1847">knowledge</strongs>: <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="6884">founder</strongs>is <strongs number="3001">confounded</strongs>by the graven <strongs number="4480 6459">image</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>his molten <strongs number="5262">image</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="8267">falsehood</strongs>, and <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="7307">breath</strongs>in them. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="1992">They</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="1892">vanity</strongs>, <em> and </em>the <strongs number="4639">work</strongs>of <strongs number="8595">errors</strongs>: in the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of their <strongs number="6486">visitation</strongs>they shall <strongs number="6">perish</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>The <strongs number="2506">portion</strongs>of <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>like <strongs number="428">them</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="3335">former</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> things </em>; and <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7626">rod</strongs>of his <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>: The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs><em> is </em>his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>Gather <strongs number="622">up</strongs>thy <strongs number="3666">wares</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>, O <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>of the <strongs number="4693">fortress</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will sling <strongs number="7049">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>at <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="6471">once</strongs>, and will <strongs number="6887">distress</strongs>them, <strongs number="4616">that</strongs>they may <strongs number="4672">find</strongs><em> it </em><em> so </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="188">Woe</strongs>is me <strongs number="5921">for</strongs>my <strongs number="7667">hurt</strongs>! my <strongs number="4347">wound</strongs>is <strongs number="2470">grievous</strongs>: but <strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="389">Truly</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="2483">grief</strongs>, and I must <strongs number="5375">bear</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>My <strongs number="168">tabernacle</strongs>is <strongs number="7703">spoiled</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="4340">cords</strongs>are <strongs number="5423">broken</strongs>: my <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>are gone <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>of me, and they <em> are </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>: <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>to stretch <strongs number="5186">forth</strongs>my <strongs number="168">tent</strongs>any <strongs number="5750">more</strongs>, and to set <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>my <strongs number="3407">curtains</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="7462">pastors</strongs>are become <strongs number="1197">brutish</strongs>, and have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1875">sought</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs>they shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7919">prosper</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="4830">flocks</strongs>shall be <strongs number="6327">scattered</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="8052">bruit</strongs>is <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, and a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7494">commotion</strongs>out of the north <strongs number="4480 776 6828">country</strongs>, to <strongs number="7760">make</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="8077">desolate</strongs>, <em> and </em>a <strongs number="4583">den</strongs>of <strongs number="8577">dragons</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, I <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of <strongs number="120">man</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>in himself: <em> it </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>in <strongs number="376">man</strongs>that <strongs number="1980">walketh</strongs>to <strongs number="3559">direct</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="6806">steps</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3256">correct</strongs>me, but <strongs number="389">with</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>; <strongs number="408">not</strongs>in thine <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>, <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>thou bring me to <strongs number="4591">nothing</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>Pour <strongs number="8210">out</strongs>thy <strongs number="2534">fury</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="3045">know</strongs>thee <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="4940">families</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="7121">call</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>on thy <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they have eaten <strongs number="398">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>, and <strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>him, and <strongs number="3615">consumed</strongs>him, and have made his <strongs number="5116">habitation</strongs><strongs number="8074">desolate</strongs>. </verse>
