<verse number='1'>In the <strongs number="8141">year</strongs>that <strongs number="8661">Tartan</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>unto <strongs number="795">Ashdod</strongs>, (when <strongs number="5623">Sargon</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>him,) and <strongs number="3898">fought</strongs>against <strongs number="795">Ashdod</strongs>, and <strongs number="3920">took</strongs>it; </verse>

<verse number='2'>At the <strongs number="1931">same</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="3027">by</strongs><strongs number="3470">Isaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="531">Amoz</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">Go</strongs>and <strongs number="6605">loose</strongs>the <strongs number="8242">sackcloth</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>thy <strongs number="4975">loins</strongs>, and put <strongs number="2502">off</strongs>thy <strongs number="5275">shoe</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>thy <strongs number="7272">foot</strongs>. And he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="3651">so</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">walking</strongs><strongs number="6174">naked</strongs>and <strongs number="3182">barefoot</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='3'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Like <strongs number="834">as</strongs>my <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs><strongs number="3470">Isaiah</strongs>hath <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs><strongs number="6174">naked</strongs>and <strongs number="3182">barefoot</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><em> for </em>a <strongs number="226">sign</strongs>and <strongs number="4159">wonder</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="3568">Ethiopia</strongs>; </verse>

<verse number='4'><strongs number="3651">So</strongs>shall the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>lead <strongs number="5090">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4714">Egyptians</strongs><strongs number="7628">prisoners</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3568">Ethiopians</strongs><strongs number="1546">captives</strongs>, <strongs number="5288">young</strongs>and <strongs number="2205">old</strongs>, <strongs number="6174">naked</strongs>and <strongs number="3182">barefoot</strongs>, even with <em> their </em><strongs number="8357">buttocks</strongs><strongs number="2834">uncovered</strongs>, to the <strongs number="6172">shame</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>
