      <verse number='1'>To the chief <strongs number="5329">Musician</strongs>for the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="7141">Korah</strongs>, <strongs number="4905">Maschil</strongs>. We have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>with our <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>, O <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, our <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>have <strongs number="5608">told</strongs>us, <em> what </em><strongs number="6467">work</strongs>thou <strongs number="6466">didst</strongs>in their <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, in the <strongs number="3117">times</strongs>of <strongs number="6924">old</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><em> How </em><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>didst drive <strongs number="3423">out</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>with thy <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and <strongs number="5193">plantedst</strongs>them; <em> how </em>thou didst <strongs number="7489">afflict</strongs>the <strongs number="3816">people</strongs>, and cast them <strongs number="7971">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>they got <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>in <strongs number="3423">possession</strongs>by their own <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>did their own <strongs number="2220">arm</strongs><strongs number="3467">save</strongs>them: <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>thy right <strongs number="3225">hand</strongs>, and thine <strongs number="2220">arm</strongs>, and the <strongs number="216">light</strongs>of thy <strongs number="6440">countenance</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>thou hadst a <strongs number="7521">favor</strongs>unto them. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="859">Thou</strongs>art my <strongs number="4428">King</strongs>, O <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: <strongs number="6680">command</strongs><strongs number="3444">deliverances</strongs>for <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>Through thee will we push <strongs number="5055">down</strongs>our <strongs number="6862">enemies</strongs>: through thy <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>will we tread them <strongs number="947">under</strongs>that rise up <strongs number="6965">against</strongs>us. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="982">trust</strongs>in my <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>shall my <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs><strongs number="3467">save</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="3588">But</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="3467">saved</strongs>us from our <strongs number="4480 6862">enemies</strongs>, and hast put them to <strongs number="954">shame</strongs>that <strongs number="8130">hated</strongs>us. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>In <strongs number="430">God</strongs>we <strongs number="1984">boast</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>long, and <strongs number="3034">praise</strongs>thy <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs>. <strongs number="5542">Selah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="637">But</strongs>thou hast cast <strongs number="2186">off</strongs>, and put us to <strongs number="3637">shame</strongs>; and goest not <strongs number="3318 3808">forth</strongs>with our <strongs number="6635">armies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>Thou makest us to <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs><strongs number="268">back</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="6862">enemy</strongs>: and they which <strongs number="8130">hate</strongs>us <strongs number="8154">spoil</strongs>for themselves. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Thou hast <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>us like <strongs number="6629">sheep</strongs><em> appointed </em>for <strongs number="3978">meat</strongs>; and hast <strongs number="2219">scattered</strongs>us among the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Thou <strongs number="4376">sellest</strongs>thy <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>for <strongs number="3808 1952">naught</strongs>, and dost <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7235">increase</strongs><em> thy </em><em> wealth </em>by their <strongs number="4242">price</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Thou <strongs number="7760">makest</strongs>us a <strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs>to our <strongs number="7934">neighbors</strongs>, a <strongs number="3933">scorn</strongs>and a <strongs number="7047">derision</strongs>to them that are round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>us. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Thou <strongs number="7760">makest</strongs>us a <strongs number="4912">byword</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, a <strongs number="4493">shaking</strongs>of the <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>among the <strongs number="3816">people</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>My <strongs number="3639">confusion</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3605 3117">continually</strongs><strongs number="5048">before</strongs>me, and the <strongs number="1322">shame</strongs>of my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>hath <strongs number="3680">covered</strongs>me, </verse>
      <verse number='16'>For the <strongs number="4480 6963">voice</strongs>of him that <strongs number="2778">reproacheth</strongs>and <strongs number="1442">blasphemeth</strongs>; by <strongs number="4480 6440">reason</strongs>of the <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>and <strongs number="5358">avenger</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3605">All</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>is come <strongs number="935">upon</strongs>us; yet have we <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7911">forgotten</strongs>thee, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>have we dealt <strongs number="8266">falsely</strongs>in thy <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Our <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>is <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5472">turned</strongs><strongs number="268">back</strongs>, neither have our <strongs number="838">steps</strongs><strongs number="5186">declined</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>thy <strongs number="734">way</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="3588">Though</strongs>thou hast sore <strongs number="1794">broken</strongs>us in the <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>of <strongs number="8577">dragons</strongs>, and <strongs number="3680 5921">covered</strongs>us with the shadow of <strongs number="6757">death</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="518">If</strongs>we have <strongs number="7911">forgotten</strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, or stretched <strongs number="6566">out</strongs>our <strongs number="3709">hands</strongs>to a <strongs number="2114">strange</strongs><strongs number="410">god</strongs>; </verse>
