      <verse number='1'>And the <strongs number="7307">Spirit</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5752">Oded</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And he went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>to <strongs number="6440">meet</strongs><strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>ye me, <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and <strongs number="1144">Benjamin</strongs>; The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>you, while ye <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him; and <strongs number="518">if</strongs>ye <strongs number="1875">seek</strongs>him, he will be <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>of you; but <strongs number="518">if</strongs>ye <strongs number="5800">forsake</strongs>him, he will <strongs number="5800">forsake</strongs>you. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Now for a long <strongs number="7227 3117">season</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><em> hath </em><em> been </em><strongs number="3808">without</strongs>the <strongs number="571">true</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">without</strongs>a <strongs number="3384">teaching</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">without</strongs><strongs number="8451">law</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>But when they in their <strongs number="6862">trouble</strongs>did <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and <strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>him, he was <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>of them. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And in <strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="6256">times</strongs><em> there </em><em> was </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>to him that went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>, nor to him that came <strongs number="935">in</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">but</strongs><strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="4103">vexations</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">countries</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>was <strongs number="3807">destroyed</strongs>of <strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>, and <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>did <strongs number="2000">vex</strongs>them with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="6869">adversity</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Be ye <strongs number="859 2388">strong</strongs>therefore, and let <strongs number="408">not</strongs>your <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>be <strongs number="7503">weak</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>your <strongs number="6468">work</strongs>shall <strongs number="3426">be</strongs><strongs number="7939">rewarded</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And when <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5016">prophecy</strongs>of <strongs number="5752">Oded</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, he took <strongs number="2388">courage</strongs>, and put <strongs number="5674">away</strongs>the abominable <strongs number="8251">idols</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and <strongs number="1144">Benjamin</strongs>, and out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>he had <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>, and <strongs number="2318">renewed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="197">porch</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And he <strongs number="6908">gathered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and <strongs number="1144">Benjamin</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1481">strangers</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>them out of <strongs number="4480 669">Ephraim</strongs>and <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, and out of <strongs number="4480 8095">Simeon</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="5307">fell</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>him out of <strongs number="4480 3478">Israel</strongs>in <strongs number="7230">abundance</strongs>, when they <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>his <strongs number="430">God</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>So they gathered themselves <strongs number="6908">together</strongs>at <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>in the <strongs number="7992">third</strongs><strongs number="2320">month</strongs>, in the <strongs number="2568 6240">fifteenth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of the <strongs number="4438">reign</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And they <strongs number="2076">offered</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>the <strongs number="1931">same</strongs><strongs number="3117">time</strongs>, <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="7998">spoil</strongs><em> which </em>they had <strongs number="935">brought</strongs>, <strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs><strongs number="1241">oxen</strongs>and <strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="6629">sheep</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And they <strongs number="935">entered</strongs>into a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>to <strongs number="1875">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of their <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>and with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='13'>That <strongs number="3605 834">whosoever</strongs>would <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1875">seek</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>should be put to <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>, <strongs number="4480">whether</strongs><strongs number="6996">small</strongs><strongs number="5704">or</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs>, whether <strongs number="4480 376">man</strongs><strongs number="5704">or</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And they <strongs number="7650">swore</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>with a <strongs number="1419">loud</strongs><strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, and with <strongs number="8643">shouting</strongs>, and with <strongs number="2689">trumpets</strongs>, and with <strongs number="7782">cornets</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="8055">rejoiced</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="7621">oath</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they had <strongs number="7650">sworn</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>, and <strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>him with their <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="7522">desire</strongs>; and he was <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>of them: and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>gave them <strongs number="5117">rest</strongs>round <strongs number="4480 5439">about</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And <strongs number="1571">also</strongs><em> concerning </em><strongs number="4601">Maachah</strongs>the <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, he <strongs number="5493">removed</strongs>her from <em> being </em><strongs number="4480 1377">queen</strongs>, <strongs number="834">because</strongs>she had <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>an <strongs number="4656">idol</strongs>in a <strongs number="842">grove</strongs>: and <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>cut <strongs number="3772">down</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="4656">idol</strongs>, and <strongs number="1854">stamped</strongs><em> it </em>, and <strongs number="8313">burnt</strongs><em> it </em>at the <strongs number="5158">brook</strongs><strongs number="6939">Kidron</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>But the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>were <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>taken <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3478">Israel</strongs>: <strongs number="7535">nevertheless</strongs>the <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="8003">perfect</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And he brought <strongs number="935">into</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the things that his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>had <strongs number="6944">dedicated</strongs>, and that he himself had <strongs number="6944">dedicated</strongs>, <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>, and <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>, and <strongs number="3627">vessels</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><em> more </em><strongs number="4421">war</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="2568">five</strongs>and <strongs number="7970">thirtieth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of the <strongs number="4438">reign</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>. </verse>
