      <verse number='1'>And when <strongs number="6271">Athaliah</strongs>the <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>of <strongs number="274">Ahaziah</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>her <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>was <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs>, she <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>and <strongs number="6">destroyed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs><strongs number="4467">royal</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>But <strongs number="3089">Jehosheba</strongs>, the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="3141">Joram</strongs>, <strongs number="269">sister</strongs>of <strongs number="274">Ahaziah</strongs>, <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3101">Joash</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="274">Ahaziah</strongs>, and <strongs number="1589">stole</strongs>him from <strongs number="4480 8432">among</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><em> which </em><em> were </em><strongs number="4191">slain</strongs>; and they <strongs number="5641">hid</strongs>him, <em> even </em>him and his <strongs number="3243">nurse</strongs>, in the <strongs number="2315 4296">bedchamber</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">from</strongs><strongs number="6271">Athaliah</strongs>, so that he was <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4191">slain</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And he <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>with <strongs number="854">her</strongs><strongs number="2244">hid</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="8337">six</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>. And <strongs number="6271">Athaliah</strongs>did <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And the <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs><strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>and <strongs number="3947">fetched</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>over <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>, with the <strongs number="3746">captains</strongs>and the <strongs number="7323">guard</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">brought</strongs>them <strongs number="413">to</strongs>him into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="3772">made</strongs>a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>with them, and took an <strongs number="7650">oath</strongs>of them in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">showed</strongs>them <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And he <strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>them, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>ye shall <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>; A third <strongs number="7992">part</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>you that <strongs number="935">enter</strongs>in on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>shall even be <strongs number="8104">keepers</strongs>of the <strongs number="4931">watch</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And a third <strongs number="7992">part</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>at the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>of <strongs number="5495">Sur</strongs>; and a third <strongs number="7992">part</strongs>at the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs><strongs number="310">behind</strongs>the <strongs number="7323">guard</strongs>: so shall ye <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4931">watch</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, that it be not broken <strongs number="4535">down</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="3027">parts</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>you that go <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>, even they shall <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4931">watch</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="413">about</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And ye shall <strongs number="5362 5921">compass</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>, every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>with his <strongs number="3627">weapons</strongs>in his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>: and he that <strongs number="935">cometh</strongs><strongs number="413">within</strongs>the <strongs number="7713">ranges</strongs>, let him be <strongs number="4191">slain</strongs>: and <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>ye <strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>as he goeth <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>and as he cometh <strongs number="935">in</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='13'>And when <strongs number="6271">Athaliah</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="7323">guard</strongs><em> and </em>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, she <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>into the <strongs number="1004">temple</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And when she <strongs number="7200">looked</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs>a <strongs number="5982">pillar</strongs>, as the <strongs number="4941">manner</strongs><em> was </em>, and the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>and the <strongs number="2689">trumpeters</strongs><strongs number="413">by</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="8056">rejoiced</strongs>, and <strongs number="8628">blew</strongs>with <strongs number="2689">trumpets</strongs>: and <strongs number="6271">Athaliah</strongs><strongs number="7167">rent</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="899">clothes</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs>, <strongs number="7195">Treason</strongs>, <strongs number="7195">Treason</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>But <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of the <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>, the <strongs number="6485">officers</strongs>of the <strongs number="2428">host</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, Have her <strongs number="3318 *853">forth</strongs><strongs number="413 4480 1004">without</strongs>the <strongs number="7713">ranges</strongs>: and him that <strongs number="935 310">followeth</strongs>her <strongs number="4191">kill</strongs>with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>. <strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>had <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Let her <strongs number="408">not</strongs>be <strongs number="4191">slain</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And they <strongs number="7760">laid</strongs><strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>on her; and she <strongs number="935">went</strongs>by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>by the which the <strongs number="5483">horses</strongs><strongs number="3996">came</strongs>into the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>: and <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>was she <strongs number="4191">slain</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs><strongs number="3772">made</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, that they should <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; <strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>also and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="8055">rejoiced</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>was in <strongs number="8252">quiet</strongs>: and they <strongs number="4191">slew</strongs><strongs number="6271">Athaliah</strongs>with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs><em> beside </em>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
