      <verse number='2'>And he <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>in the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, O <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, a <strongs number="1121">child</strongs>shall be <strongs number="3205">born</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="2977">Josiah</strongs>by <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>; and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>thee shall he <strongs number="2076">offer</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>of the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>that burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>thee, and <strongs number="120">men</strongs>'s <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>shall be <strongs number="8313">burnt</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And he <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>a <strongs number="4159">sign</strongs>the <strongs number="1931">same</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="4159">sign</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>shall be <strongs number="7167">rent</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1880">ashes</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>it shall be poured <strongs number="8210">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="3379">Jeroboam</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">saying</strongs>of the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>had <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>in <strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>, that he put <strongs number="7971">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Lay <strongs number="8610">hold</strongs>on him.       <verse number='6'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="6030">answered</strongs>and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2470">Entreat</strongs><strongs number="4994">now</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="6419">pray</strongs><strongs number="1157">for</strongs>me, that my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>may be restored me <strongs number="7725 413">again</strongs>.       <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1696">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="935">Come</strongs><strongs number="1004">home</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>me, and <strongs number="5582">refresh</strongs>thyself, and I will <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>thee a <strongs number="4991">reward</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='10'>So he <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="312">another</strongs><strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>. </verse>

So they <strongs number="2280">saddled</strongs>him the <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>: and he <strongs number="7392">rode</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereon</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>him <strongs number="3427">sitting</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>an <strongs number="424">oak</strongs>: and he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <em> Art </em><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="935">camest</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>?       <verse number='15'>Then he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="1980">Come</strongs><strongs number="1004">home</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>me, and <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I <strongs number="3201">may</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thee, nor go <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thee: <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>will I <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs><strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><strongs number="4325">water</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thee in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>it was <strongs number="1697">said</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>me by the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, Thou shalt <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs><strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><strongs number="4325">water</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs>turn <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>to <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou <strongs number="1980">camest</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>He <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>a <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>as thou <em> art </em>; and an <strongs number="4397">angel</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me by the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Bring him <strongs number="7725">back</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thee <strongs number="413">into</strongs>thine <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, that he may <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs>and <strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><strongs number="4325">water</strongs>. <em> But </em>he <strongs number="3584">lied</strongs>unto him. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>So he went <strongs number="7725">back</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, and did <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs>in his <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="8354">drank</strongs><strongs number="4325">water</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, as <strongs number="1992">they</strongs><strongs number="3427">sat</strongs><strongs number="413">at</strongs>the <strongs number="7979">table</strongs>, that the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>brought him <strongs number="7725">back</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And he <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3282 3588">Forasmuch</strongs>as thou hast <strongs number="4784">disobeyed</strongs>the <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and hast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8104">kept</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4687">commandment</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>thee, </verse>

      <verse number='24'>And when he was <strongs number="1980">gone</strongs>, a <strongs number="738">lion</strongs><strongs number="4672">met</strongs>him by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and <strongs number="4191">slew</strongs>him: and his <strongs number="5038">carcass</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="7993">cast</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs><strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="681">by</strongs>it, the <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>also <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="681">by</strongs>the <strongs number="5038">carcass</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='27'>And he <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2280">Saddle</strongs>me <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>. And they <strongs number="2280">saddled</strongs><em> him </em>. </verse>

      <verse number='30'>And he <strongs number="5117">laid</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5038">carcass</strongs>in his own <strongs number="6913">grave</strongs>; and they <strongs number="5594">mourned</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>him, <em> saying </em>, <strongs number="1945">Alas</strongs>, my <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>! </verse>
      <verse number='31'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <strongs number="310">after</strongs>he had <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>him, that he <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, When I am <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs>, then <strongs number="6912">bury</strongs>me in the <strongs number="6913">sepulcher</strongs><strongs number="834">wherein</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>; <strongs number="5117">lay</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs><strongs number="681">beside</strongs>his <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='33'><strongs number="310">After</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="3379">Jeroboam</strongs><strongs number="7725">returned</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>from his evil <strongs number="4480 1870 7451">way</strongs>, but <strongs number="6213">made</strongs><strongs number="7725">again</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 7098">lowest</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>of the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>: whosoever <strongs number="2655">would</strongs>, he <strongs number="4390 *853 3027">consecrated</strongs>him, and he <strongs number="1961">became</strongs><em> one </em>of the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>of the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>. </verse>
