      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="5265">journeyed</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>toward the <strongs number="5045">south</strongs><strongs number="776">country</strongs>, and <strongs number="3427">dwelled</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs><strongs number="6946">Kadesh</strongs>and <strongs number="7793">Shur</strongs>, and <strongs number="1481">sojourned</strongs>in <strongs number="1642">Gerar</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">of</strongs><strongs number="8283">Sarah</strongs>his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">She</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="269">sister</strongs>: and <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="1642">Gerar</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8283">Sarah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>But <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs>in a <strongs number="2472">dream</strongs>by <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>to him, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, thou <em> art </em><em> but </em>a dead <strongs number="4191">man</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">for</strongs>the <strongs number="802">woman</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="3947">taken</strongs>; for <strongs number="1931">she</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="1167">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="1166">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>But <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs>had <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>come <strongs number="7126 413">near</strongs>her: and he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>, wilt thou <strongs number="2026">slay</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>a <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs><strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="559">Said</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>unto me, <strongs number="1931">She</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="269">sister</strongs>? and <strongs number="1931">she</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">even</strongs>she <strongs number="1931">herself</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">He</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>: in the <strongs number="8537">integrity</strongs>of my <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>and <strongs number="5356">innocency</strongs>of my <strongs number="3709">hands</strongs>have I <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him in a <strongs number="2472">dream</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">Yea</strongs>, <strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou <strongs number="6213">didst</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>in the <strongs number="8537">integrity</strongs>of thy <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>; for <strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="2820">withheld</strongs>thee from <strongs number="4480 2398">sinning</strongs>against me: <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs><strongs number="5414">suffered</strongs>I thee <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>to <strongs number="5060 413">touch</strongs>her. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="7725">restore</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="802">wife</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, and he shall <strongs number="6419">pray</strongs><strongs number="1157">for</strongs>thee, and thou shalt <strongs number="2421">live</strongs>: and <strongs number="518">if</strongs>thou <strongs number="7725">restore</strongs><em> her </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>, <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>thou <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou shalt surely <strongs number="4191 4191">die</strongs>, <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> are </em>thine. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Therefore <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs>rose <strongs number="7925">early</strongs>in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, and <strongs number="1696">told</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">things</strongs>in their <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>: and the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>were sore <strongs number="3372 3966">afraid</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Then <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs><strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs>hast thou <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>unto us? and <strongs number="4100">what</strongs>have I <strongs number="2398">offended</strongs>thee, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>me and <strongs number="5921">on</strongs>my <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="2401">sin</strongs>? thou hast <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="4639">deeds</strongs><strongs number="5973">unto</strongs>me <strongs number="834">that</strongs>ought <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>to be <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs><strongs number="7200">sawest</strongs>thou, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>I <strongs number="559">thought</strongs>, <strongs number="7535">Surely</strongs>the <strongs number="3374">fear</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>; and they will <strongs number="2026">slay</strongs>me <strongs number="5921">for</strongs>my <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>'s <strongs number="1697">sake</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="1571">yet</strongs><strongs number="546">indeed</strongs><em> she </em><em> is </em>my <strongs number="269">sister</strongs>; <strongs number="1931">she</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, <strongs number="389">but</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>; and she <strongs number="1961">became</strongs>my <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <strongs number="834">when</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>caused me to <strongs number="8582">wander</strongs>from my father's <strongs number="4480 1004 1">house</strongs>, that I <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto her, <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><em> is </em>thy <strongs number="2617">kindness</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="6213">show</strongs><strongs number="5973">unto</strongs>me; <strongs number="413">at</strongs><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="834 8033">whither</strongs>we shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, <strongs number="559">say</strongs>of me, <strongs number="1931">He</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="6629">sheep</strongs>, and <strongs number="1241">oxen</strongs>, and <strongs number="5650">menservants</strongs>, and <strongs number="8198">womenservants</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><em> them </em>unto <strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs>, and <strongs number="7725">restored</strongs>him <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8283">Sarah</strongs>his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, my <strongs number="776">land</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>thee: <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>where it <strongs number="2896 5869">pleaseth</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And unto <strongs number="8283">Sarah</strongs>he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I have <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>thy <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>a <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><em> pieces </em>of <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>to thee a <strongs number="3682">covering</strongs>of the <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, unto <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thee, and <strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> other </em>: thus she was <strongs number="3198">reproved</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>So <strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="6419">prayed</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>: and <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="7495">healed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs>, and his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, and his <strongs number="519">maidservants</strongs>; and they <strongs number="3205">bore</strongs><em> children </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had fast closed <strongs number="6113 6113 1157">up</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7358">wombs</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="40">Abimelech</strongs>, <strongs number="5921 1697">because</strongs>of <strongs number="8283">Sarah</strongs><strongs number="85">Abraham</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
