      <verse number='1'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <strongs number="834">when</strongs><strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>was <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 310">following</strongs>the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, that it was <strongs number="5046">told</strongs>him, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>of <strongs number="5872">En</strongs>-gedi. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Then <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="977">chosen</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>and his <strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="592 6440">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="6697">rocks</strongs>of the wild <strongs number="3277">goats</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='7'>So <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="8156">stayed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="376">servants</strongs>with these <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">suffered</strongs>them <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>to <strongs number="6965">rise</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>.       <verse number='17'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><em> art </em>more <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs><strongs number="4480">than</strongs>I: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>hast <strongs number="1580">rewarded</strongs>me <strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, whereas <strongs number="589">I</strongs>have <strongs number="1580">rewarded</strongs>thee <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>hast <strongs number="5046">showed</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>how <strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="6213">dealt</strongs><strongs number="2896">well</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>me: <strongs number="*853"></strongs>forasmuch as <strongs number="834">when</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="5462">delivered</strongs>me into thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, thou <strongs number="2026">killedst</strongs>me <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>For <strongs number="3588">if</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="4672">find</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>, will he let him <strongs number="7971">go</strongs><strongs number="2896">well</strongs><strongs number="1870">away</strongs>? wherefore the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7999">reward</strongs>thee <strongs number="2896">good</strongs><strongs number="8478">for</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>unto me <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I know <strongs number="3045">well</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou shalt surely be <strongs number="4427 4427">king</strongs>, and that the <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>shall be <strongs number="6965">established</strongs>in thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="7650">Swear</strongs><strongs number="6258">now</strongs>therefore unto me by the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="518">that</strongs>thou wilt not cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>me, and <strongs number="518">that</strongs>thou wilt not <strongs number="8045">destroy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>out of my father's <strongs number="4480 1004 1">house</strongs>. </verse>
