      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> are </em><em> the </em><em> countries </em><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="5157">inherited</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3667">Canaan</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, and <strongs number="3091">Joshua</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5126">Nun</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7218">heads</strongs>of the <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>of the <strongs number="4294">tribes</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, distributed for <strongs number="5157">inheritance</strongs>to them. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>By <strongs number="1486">lot</strongs><em> was </em>their <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>by the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, for the <strongs number="8672">nine</strongs><strongs number="4294">tribes</strongs>, and <em> for </em>the <strongs number="2677">half</strongs><strongs number="4294">tribe</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>had <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>the <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>of <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="4294">tribes</strongs>and a <strongs number="2677">half</strongs><strongs number="4294">tribe</strongs>on the other <strongs number="4480 5676">side</strongs><strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs>: but unto the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>he <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="3808">none</strongs><strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs><strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="4294">tribes</strongs>, <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>and <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>: therefore they <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="2506">part</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="3588 518">save</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>to <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs><em> in </em>, with their <strongs number="4054">suburbs</strongs>for their <strongs number="4735">cattle</strongs>and for their <strongs number="7075">substance</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="834">As</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>, and they <strongs number="2505">divided</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Then the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="5066">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3091">Joshua</strongs>in <strongs number="1537">Gilgal</strongs>: and <strongs number="3612">Caleb</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3312">Jephunneh</strongs>the <strongs number="7074">Kenezite</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><strongs number="3045">knowest</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5921 182">concerning</strongs>me and thee in <strongs number="6947">Kadesh</strongs>-barnea. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="705">Forty</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="595">I</strongs>when <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>the <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>me from <strongs number="4480 6947">Kadesh</strongs>-barnea to espy <strongs number="7270">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>; and I <strongs number="7725">brought</strongs>him <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>again <strongs number="834">as</strongs><em> it </em><em> was </em><strongs number="5973">in</strongs>mine <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Nevertheless my <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>me made <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="4529">melt</strongs>: but <strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="4390">wholly</strongs><strongs number="310">followed</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="7650">swore</strongs>on <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="518 3808">Surely</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="834">whereon</strongs>thy <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>have <strongs number="1869">trodden</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>thine <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>, and thy <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>'s <strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="4390">wholly</strongs><strongs number="310">followed</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath kept me <strongs number="2421 *853">alive</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2088">these</strongs><strongs number="705">forty</strongs>and <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>, even <strongs number="4480 227">since</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, <strongs number="834">while</strongs><em> the </em><em> children </em><em> of </em><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="1980">wandered</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>: and <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">lo</strongs>, <strongs number="595">I</strongs><em> am </em>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs><strongs number="8084">fourscore</strongs>and <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>As <strongs number="5750">yet</strongs>I <em> am </em><em> as </em><strongs number="2389">strong</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs><strongs number="834">as</strongs><em> I </em><em> was </em>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>that <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>me: as my <strongs number="3581">strength</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="227">then</strongs>, even so <em> is </em>my <strongs number="3581">strength</strongs><strongs number="6258">now</strongs>, for <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>, both to go <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>, and to come <strongs number="935">in</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>me <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="2022">mountain</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whereof</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><strongs number="8085">heardest</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs><strongs number="3588">how</strongs>the <strongs number="6062">Anakims</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, and <em> that </em>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="1219">fenced</strongs>: <strongs number="194">if</strongs>so be the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> will </em><em> be </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>me, then I shall be able to drive them <strongs number="3423">out</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">said</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And <strongs number="3091">Joshua</strongs><strongs number="1288">blessed</strongs>him, and <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>unto <strongs number="3612">Caleb</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3312">Jephunneh</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2275">Hebron</strongs>for an <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="2275">Hebron</strongs><strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs><strongs number="1961">became</strongs>the <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>of <strongs number="3612">Caleb</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3312">Jephunneh</strongs>the <strongs number="7074">Kenezite</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="3282">because</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="4390">wholly</strongs><strongs number="310">followed</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of <strongs number="2275">Hebron</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="7153">Kirjath</strongs>-arba; <em> which </em><em> Arba </em><em> was </em>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="120">man</strongs>among the <strongs number="6062">Anakims</strongs>. And the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>had <strongs number="8252">rest</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 4421">war</strongs>. </verse>
