      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1223 5124">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="2248">we</strongs><strongs number="1163">ought</strongs>to give the more earnest <strongs number="4337 4056">heed</strongs>to the things which we have <strongs number="191">heard</strongs>, lest at any <strongs number="3379">time</strongs>we should let <em> them </em><strongs number="3901">slip</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3056">word</strongs><strongs number="2980">spoken</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="32">angels</strongs><strongs number="1096">was</strongs><strongs number="949">steadfast</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="3847">transgression</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3876">disobedience</strongs><strongs number="2983">received</strongs>a <strongs number="1738">just</strongs>recompense of <strongs number="3405">reward</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="4459">How</strongs>shall <strongs number="2249">we</strongs><strongs number="1628">escape</strongs>, if we <strongs number="272">neglect</strongs>so <strongs number="5082">great</strongs><strongs number="4991">salvation</strongs>; <strongs number="3748">which</strongs>at the first <strongs number="2983 746">began</strongs>to be <strongs number="2980">spoken</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>was <strongs number="950">confirmed</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="2248">us</strongs><strongs number="5259">by</strongs>them that <strongs number="191">heard</strongs><em> him </em>; </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>also bearing <em> them </em><strongs number="4901">witness</strongs>, <strongs number="5037">both</strongs>with <strongs number="4592">signs</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="5059">wonders</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>with <strongs number="4164">divers</strongs><strongs number="1411">miracles</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3311">gifts</strongs>of the <strongs number="40">Holy</strongs><strongs number="4151">Ghost</strongs>, <strongs number="2596">according</strongs>to his <strongs number="848">own</strongs><strongs number="2308">will</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>unto the <strongs number="32">angels</strongs>hath he <strongs number="3756">not</strongs>put in <strongs number="5293">subjection</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3625">world</strongs>to <strongs number="3195">come</strongs>, <strongs number="4012 3739">whereof</strongs>we <strongs number="2980">speak</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="3739">that</strongs><strongs number="846">he</strongs>himself hath <strongs number="3958">suffered</strongs>being <strongs number="3985">tempted</strongs>, he is <strongs number="1410">able</strongs>to <strongs number="997">succor</strongs>them that are <strongs number="3985">tempted</strongs>. </verse>
