      <verse number='1'><strongs number="4771">Thou</strongs><strongs number="3767">therefore</strongs>, <strongs number="3450">my</strongs><strongs number="5043">son</strongs>, be <strongs number="1743">strong</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5485">grace</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>is <strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>the things <strongs number="3739">that</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="191">heard</strongs><strongs number="3844">of</strongs><strongs number="1700">me</strongs><strongs number="1223">among</strongs><strongs number="4183">many</strongs><strongs number="3144">witnesses</strongs>, the <strongs number="5023">same</strongs><strongs number="3908">commit</strongs>thou to <strongs number="4103">faithful</strongs><strongs number="444">men</strongs>, <strongs number="3748">who</strongs>shall <strongs number="2071">be</strongs><strongs number="2425">able</strongs>to <strongs number="1321">teach</strongs><strongs number="2087">others</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="4771">Thou</strongs><strongs number="3767">therefore</strongs>endure <strongs number="2553">hardness</strongs>, <strongs number="5613">as</strongs>a <strongs number="2570">good</strongs><strongs number="4757">soldier</strongs>of <strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>No <strongs number="3762">man</strongs>that <strongs number="4754">warreth</strongs>entangleth himself <strongs number="1707">with</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4230">affairs</strongs>of <em> this </em><strongs number="979">life</strongs>; <strongs number="2443">that</strongs>he may <strongs number="700">please</strongs>him who hath chosen him to be a <strongs number="4758">soldier</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="1161">And</strongs><strongs number="1437">if</strongs>a <strongs number="5100">man</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>strive for <strongs number="118">masteries</strongs>, <em> yet </em>is he <strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="4737">crowned</strongs>, <strongs number="3362">except</strongs>he <strongs number="118">strive</strongs><strongs number="3545">lawfully</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>The <strongs number="1092">husbandman</strongs>that <strongs number="2872">laboreth</strongs><strongs number="1163">must</strongs>be first <strongs number="3335 4413">partaker</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2590">fruits</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="3539">Consider</strongs><strongs number="3739">what</strongs>I <strongs number="3004">say</strongs>; <strongs number="1063">and</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs><strongs number="1325">give</strongs><strongs number="4671">thee</strongs><strongs number="4907">understanding</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>all <strongs number="3956">things</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="3421">Remember</strongs>that <strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs><strongs number="1537">of</strongs>the <strongs number="4690">seed</strongs>of <strongs number="1138">David</strongs>was <strongs number="1453">raised</strongs><strongs number="1537">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3498">dead</strongs><strongs number="2596">according</strongs>to <strongs number="3450">my</strongs><strongs number="2098">gospel</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="1722 3739">Wherein</strongs>I suffer <strongs number="2553">trouble</strongs>, <strongs number="5613">as</strongs>an evil <strongs number="2557">doer</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="3360">unto</strongs><strongs number="1199">bonds</strongs>; <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3056">word</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>is <strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="1210">bound</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='11'><em> It is </em>a <strongs number="4103">faithful</strongs><strongs number="3056">saying</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs>we be dead <strongs number="4880">with</strongs><em> him, </em>we shall <strongs number="2532">also</strongs>live <strongs number="4800">with</strongs><em> him </em>: </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="1487">If</strongs>we <strongs number="5278">suffer</strongs>, we shall <strongs number="2532">also</strongs>reign <strongs number="4821">with</strongs><em> him </em>: <strongs number="1487">if</strongs>we <strongs number="720">deny</strongs><em> him, </em>he <strongs number="2548">also</strongs>will <strongs number="720">deny</strongs><strongs number="2248">us</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="1487">If</strongs>we believe <strongs number="569">not</strongs>, <em> yet </em><strongs number="1565">he</strongs><strongs number="3306">abideth</strongs><strongs number="4103">faithful</strongs>: he <strongs number="1410 3756">cannot</strongs><strongs number="720">deny</strongs><strongs number="1438">himself</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Of these <strongs number="5023">things</strongs>put <em> them </em>in <strongs number="5279">remembrance</strongs>, <strongs number="1263">charging</strongs><em> them </em><strongs number="1799">before</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>that they strive not about <strongs number="3054 3361">words</strongs>to no <strongs number="1519 3762 5539">profit</strongs>, <em> but </em><strongs number="1909">to</strongs>the <strongs number="2692">subverting</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="191">hearers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="4704">Study</strongs>to <strongs number="3936">show</strongs><strongs number="4572">thyself</strongs><strongs number="1384">approved</strongs>unto <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, a <strongs number="2040">workman</strongs>that needeth not to be <strongs number="422">ashamed</strongs>, rightly <strongs number="3718">dividing</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3056">word</strongs>of <strongs number="225">truth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="4026">shun</strongs><strongs number="952">profane</strongs><em> and </em>vain <strongs number="2757">babblings</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs>they will <strongs number="4298">increase</strongs><strongs number="1909">unto</strongs><strongs number="4119">more</strongs><strongs number="763">ungodliness</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3748">Who</strongs><strongs number="4012">concerning</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="225">truth</strongs>have <strongs number="795">erred</strongs>, <strongs number="3004">saying</strongs>that <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="386">resurrection</strongs>is <strongs number="1096">past</strongs><strongs number="2235">already</strongs>; <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="396">overthrow</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>of <strongs number="5100">some</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="3305">Nevertheless</strongs>the <strongs number="2310">foundation</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="2476">standeth</strongs><strongs number="4731">sure</strongs>, <strongs number="2192">having</strongs><strongs number="5026">this</strongs><strongs number="4973">seal</strongs>, The <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs><strongs number="1097">knoweth</strongs>them that <strongs number="5607">are</strongs><strongs number="848">his</strongs>. <strongs number="2532">And</strongs>, Let every <strongs number="3956">one</strongs>that <strongs number="3687">nameth</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3686">name</strongs>of <strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs><strongs number="868">depart</strongs><strongs number="575">from</strongs><strongs number="93">iniquity</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>a <strongs number="3173">great</strongs><strongs number="3614">house</strongs>there <strongs number="2076">are</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="3440">only</strongs><strongs number="4632">vessels</strongs>of <strongs number="5552">gold</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs>of <strongs number="693">silver</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>of <strongs number="3585">wood</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs>of <strongs number="3749">earth</strongs>; <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3739 3303">some</strongs><strongs number="1519">to</strongs><strongs number="5092">honor</strongs>, <strongs number="1161">and</strongs><strongs number="3739">some</strongs><strongs number="1519">to</strongs><strongs number="819">dishonor</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="1437">If</strongs>a <strongs number="5100">man</strongs><strongs number="3767">therefore</strongs><strongs number="1571">purge</strongs><strongs number="1438">himself</strongs><strongs number="575">from</strongs><strongs number="5130">these</strongs>, he shall <strongs number="2071">be</strongs>a <strongs number="4632">vessel</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="5092">honor</strongs>, <strongs number="37">sanctified</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>meet for the master's <strongs number="2173 3588 1203">use</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="2090">prepared</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="18">good</strongs><strongs number="2041">work</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="5343">Flee</strongs><strongs number="1161">also</strongs><strongs number="3512">youthful</strongs><strongs number="1939">lusts</strongs>: <strongs number="1161">but</strongs><strongs number="1377">follow</strongs><strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>, <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>, <strongs number="26">charity</strongs>, <strongs number="1515">peace</strongs>, <strongs number="3326">with</strongs>them that call <strongs number="1941">on</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>out <strongs number="1537">of</strongs>a <strongs number="2513">pure</strongs><strongs number="2588">heart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="3474">foolish</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="521">unlearned</strongs><strongs number="2214">questions</strongs><strongs number="3868">avoid</strongs>, <strongs number="1492">knowing</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs>they do <strongs number="1080">engender</strongs><strongs number="3163">strifes</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="1161">And</strongs>the <strongs number="1401">servant</strongs>of the <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs><strongs number="1163">must</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="3164">strive</strongs>; <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="1511">be</strongs><strongs number="2261">gentle</strongs><strongs number="4314">unto</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs><em> men, </em>apt to <strongs number="1317">teach</strongs>, <strongs number="420">patient</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='25'><strongs number="1722">In</strongs><strongs number="4236">meekness</strongs><strongs number="3811">instructing</strongs>those that oppose <strongs number="475">themselves</strongs>; if God <strongs number="3379 2316">peradventure</strongs>will <strongs number="1325">give</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="3341">repentance</strongs><strongs number="1519">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1922">acknowledging</strongs>of the <strongs number="225">truth</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='26'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><em> that </em>they may recover <strongs number="366">themselves</strongs>out <strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3803">snare</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1228">devil</strongs>, who are taken <strongs number="2221">captive</strongs><strongs number="5259">by</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs><strongs number="1519">at</strongs><strongs number="1565">his</strongs><strongs number="2307">will</strongs>. </verse>
