      <verse number='1'>Let <strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="5590">soul</strongs>be <strongs number="5293">subject</strongs>unto the <strongs number="5242">higher</strongs><strongs number="1849">powers</strongs>. <strongs number="1063">For</strongs>there <strongs number="2076">is</strongs><strongs number="3756">no</strongs><strongs number="1849">power</strongs><strongs number="1508">but</strongs><strongs number="575">of</strongs><strongs number="2316 *1161">God</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1849">powers</strongs>that <strongs number="5607">be</strongs><strongs number="1526">are</strongs><strongs number="5021">ordained</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Whosoever therefore <strongs number="498 5620">resisteth</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1849">power</strongs>, <strongs number="436">resisteth</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1296">ordinance</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>: <strongs number="1161">and</strongs>they that <strongs number="436">resist</strongs>shall <strongs number="2983">receive</strongs>to <strongs number="1438">themselves</strongs><strongs number="2917">damnation</strongs>. </verse>
