      <verse number='1'>The <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="6846">Zephaniah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3570">Cushi</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="1436">Gedaliah</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="568">Amariah</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="2396">Hizkiah</strongs>, in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of <strongs number="2977">Josiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="526">Amon</strongs>, <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>I will utterly <strongs number="622 5486">consume</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> things </em>from <strongs number="4480 5921 6440">off</strongs>the <strongs number="127">land</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>I will <strongs number="5486">consume</strongs><strongs number="120">man</strongs>and <strongs number="929">beast</strongs>; I will <strongs number="5486">consume</strongs>the <strongs number="5775">fowls</strongs>of the <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1709">fishes</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4384">stumblingblocks</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>; and I will cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="120">man</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921 6440">off</strongs>the <strongs number="127">land</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>I will also stretch <strongs number="5186">out</strongs>mine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>; and I will cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3649">Chemarims</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And them that <strongs number="7812">worship</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="1406">housetops</strongs>; and them that <strongs number="7812">worship</strongs><em> and </em>that <strongs number="7650">swear</strongs>by the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and that <strongs number="7650">swear</strongs>by <strongs number="4445">Malcham</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And them that are turned <strongs number="5472">back</strongs><strongs number="4480 310">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; and <em> those </em><strongs number="834">that</strongs>have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1245">sought</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="1875">inquired</strongs>for him. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Hold thy <strongs number="2013">peace</strongs>at the <strongs number="4480 6440">presence</strongs>of the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em>at <strongs number="7138">hand</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="3559">prepared</strongs>a <strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>, he hath <strongs number="6942">bid</strongs>his <strongs number="7121">guests</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>, that I will <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>such as are <strongs number="3847">clothed</strongs>with <strongs number="5237">strange</strongs><strongs number="4403">apparel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>In the <strongs number="1931">same</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>also will I <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>those that <strongs number="1801">leap</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="4670">threshold</strongs>, which <strongs number="4390">fill</strongs>their <strongs number="113">masters</strongs>' <strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>with <strongs number="2555">violence</strongs>and <strongs number="4820">deceit</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <em> that </em><em> there </em><em> shall </em><em> be </em>the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>of a <strongs number="6818">cry</strongs>from the <strongs number="1709">fish</strongs><strongs number="4480 8179">gate</strongs>, and a <strongs number="3215">howling</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="4932">second</strongs>, and a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7667">crashing</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 1389">hills</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3213">Howl</strongs>, ye <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="4389">Maktesh</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3667">merchant</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>are cut <strongs number="1820">down</strongs>; <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>they that <strongs number="5187">bear</strongs><strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>are cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>at <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>, <em> that </em>I will <strongs number="2664">search</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>with <strongs number="5216">candles</strongs>, and <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs>the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>that are <strongs number="7087">settled</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>their <strongs number="8105">lees</strongs>: that <strongs number="559">say</strongs>in their <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>do <strongs number="3190">good</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>will he do <strongs number="7489">evil</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Therefore their <strongs number="2428">goods</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">become</strongs>a <strongs number="4933">booty</strongs>, and their <strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>a <strongs number="8077">desolation</strongs>: they shall also <strongs number="1129">build</strongs><strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>, but <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3427">inhabit</strongs><em> them </em>; and they shall <strongs number="5193">plant</strongs><strongs number="3754">vineyards</strongs>, but <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3196">wine</strongs>thereof. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>The <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="7138">near</strongs>, <em> it </em><em> is </em><strongs number="7138">near</strongs>, and <strongs number="4118">hasteth</strongs><strongs number="3966">greatly</strongs>, <em> even </em>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: the mighty <strongs number="1368">man</strongs>shall <strongs number="6873">cry</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="4751">bitterly</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="1931">That</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="5678">wrath</strongs>, a <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="6869">trouble</strongs>and <strongs number="4691">distress</strongs>, a <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="7722">wasteness</strongs>and <strongs number="4875">desolation</strongs>, a <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="2822">darkness</strongs>and <strongs number="653">gloominess</strongs>, a <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="6051">clouds</strongs>and thick <strongs number="6205">darkness</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='16'>A <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="7782">trumpet</strongs>and <strongs number="8643">alarm</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="1219">fenced</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="1364">high</strongs><strongs number="6438">towers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And I will bring <strongs number="6887">distress</strongs>upon <strongs number="120">men</strongs>, that they shall <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>like blind <strongs number="5787">men</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>they have <strongs number="2398">sinned</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and their <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>shall be poured <strongs number="8210">out</strongs>as <strongs number="6083">dust</strongs>, and their <strongs number="3894">flesh</strongs>as the <strongs number="1561">dung</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3808 1571">Neither</strongs>their <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs><strongs number="1571">nor</strongs>their <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>shall be <strongs number="3201">able</strongs>to <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs>them in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="5678">wrath</strongs>; but the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>shall be <strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>by the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>of his <strongs number="7068">jealousy</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he shall <strongs number="6213">make</strongs><strongs number="389">even</strongs>a <strongs number="926">speedy</strongs><strongs number="3617">riddance</strongs><strongs number="854">of</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>them that <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
