      <verse number='2'><strongs number="1121">Son</strongs>of <strongs number="120">man</strongs>, put <strongs number="2330">forth</strongs>a <strongs number="2420">riddle</strongs>, and <strongs number="4911">speak</strongs>a <strongs number="4912">parable</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>; A <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="5404">eagle</strongs>with <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="3671">wings</strongs>, <strongs number="750 83">long</strongs>-winged, <strongs number="4392">full</strongs>of <strongs number="5133">feathers</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>had divers <strongs number="7553">colors</strongs>, <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the highest <strongs number="6788">branch</strongs>of the <strongs number="730">cedar</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='4'>He cropped <strongs number="6998">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7218">top</strongs>of his young <strongs number="3242">twigs</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">carried</strongs>it <strongs number="413">into</strongs>a <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3667">traffic</strongs>; he <strongs number="7760">set</strongs>it in a <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="7402">merchants</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>He <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>also of the <strongs number="4480 2233">seed</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">planted</strongs>it in a <strongs number="2233">fruitful</strongs><strongs number="7704">field</strongs>; he <strongs number="3947">placed</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="5921">by</strongs><strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="7760">set</strongs>it <em> as </em>a willow <strongs number="6851">tree</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'>That the <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>might <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="8217">base</strongs>, that it might <strongs number="1115">not</strongs>lift itself <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>, <em> but </em>that by <strongs number="8104">keeping</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>of his <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>it might <strongs number="5975">stand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>But he <strongs number="4775">rebelled</strongs>against him in <strongs number="7971">sending</strongs>his <strongs number="4397">ambassadors</strongs>into <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, that they might <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>him <strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>and <strongs number="7227">much</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. Shall he <strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>? shall he <strongs number="4422">escape</strongs>that <strongs number="6213">doeth</strongs><strongs number="428">such</strongs><em> things </em>? or shall he <strongs number="6565">break</strongs>the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>, and be <strongs number="4422">delivered</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='16'><em> As </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="2416">live</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>, <strongs number="518 3808">surely</strongs>in the <strongs number="4725">place</strongs><em> where </em>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><em> dwelleth </em>that made him <strongs number="4427 *853">king</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whose</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="423">oath</strongs>he <strongs number="959">despised</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">whose</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>he <strongs number="6565">broke</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him in the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>he shall <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3808">Neither</strongs>shall <strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs>with <em> his </em><strongs number="1419">mighty</strongs><strongs number="2428">army</strongs>and <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="6951">company</strongs><strongs number="6213">make</strongs>for him in the <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>, by casting <strongs number="8210">up</strongs><strongs number="5550">mounts</strongs>, and <strongs number="1129">building</strongs><strongs number="1785">forts</strongs>, to cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs><strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="5315">persons</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Seeing he <strongs number="959">despised</strongs>the <strongs number="423">oath</strongs>by <strongs number="6565">breaking</strongs>the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>, when, <strongs number="2009">lo</strongs>, he had <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and hath <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> things </em>, he shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4422">escape</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>; <em> As </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="2416">live</strongs>, <strongs number="518 3808">surely</strongs>mine <strongs number="423">oath</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he hath <strongs number="959">despised</strongs>, and my <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he hath <strongs number="6565">broken</strongs>, even it will I <strongs number="5414">recompense</strongs>upon his own <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And I will <strongs number="6566">spread</strongs>my <strongs number="7568">net</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him, and he shall be <strongs number="8610">taken</strongs>in my <strongs number="4686">snare</strongs>, and I will <strongs number="935">bring</strongs>him to <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and will <strongs number="8199">plead</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>for his <strongs number="4603">trespass</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he hath <strongs number="4603">trespassed</strongs>against me. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="4015">fugitives</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="102">bands</strongs>shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, and they that <strongs number="7604">remain</strongs>shall be <strongs number="6566">scattered</strongs>toward <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="7307">winds</strongs>: and ye shall <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>have <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>; <strongs number="589">I</strongs>will also <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>of the highest <strongs number="4480 6788">branch</strongs>of the <strongs number="7311">high</strongs><strongs number="730">cedar</strongs>, and will <strongs number="5414">set</strongs><em> it </em>; I will crop <strongs number="6998">off</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 7218">top</strongs>of his young <strongs number="3127">twigs</strongs>a tender <strongs number="7390">one</strongs>, and will <strongs number="8362">plant</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>a <strongs number="1364">high</strongs><strongs number="2022">mountain</strongs>and <strongs number="8524">eminent</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='24'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6086">trees</strongs>of the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>shall <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>have brought <strongs number="8213">down</strongs>the <strongs number="1364">high</strongs><strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>, have <strongs number="1361">exalted</strongs>the <strongs number="8217">low</strongs><strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>, have dried <strongs number="3001">up</strongs>the <strongs number="3892">green</strongs><strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>, and have made the <strongs number="3002">dry</strongs><strongs number="6086">tree</strongs>to <strongs number="6524">flourish</strongs>: <strongs number="589">I</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>have <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs>and have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>
