      <verse number='1'>At <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, they shall bring <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>of his <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>of the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>of the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>of the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, out of their <strongs number="4480 6913">graves</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And they shall <strongs number="7849">spread</strongs>them before the <strongs number="8121">sun</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3394">moon</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they have <strongs number="157">loved</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they have <strongs number="5647">served</strongs>, and <strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they have <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they have <strongs number="1875">sought</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>they have <strongs number="7812">worshiped</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="622">gathered</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs>be <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>; they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>for <strongs number="1828">dung</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>of the <strongs number="127">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>shall be <strongs number="977">chosen</strongs>rather than <strongs number="4480 2416">life</strongs>by <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7611">residue</strongs>of them that <strongs number="7604">remain</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="4940">family</strongs>, which <strongs number="7604">remain</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4725">places</strongs><strongs number="834 8033">whither</strongs>I have <strongs number="5080">driven</strongs>them, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Moreover thou shalt <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; Shall they <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6965">arise</strongs>? shall he turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7725">return</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="4069">Why</strongs><em> then </em>is <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>slid <strongs number="7725">back</strongs>by a <strongs number="5329">perpetual</strongs><strongs number="4878">backsliding</strongs>? they hold <strongs number="2388">fast</strongs><strongs number="8649">deceit</strongs>, they <strongs number="3985">refuse</strongs>to <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>I <strongs number="7181">hearkened</strongs>and <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>, <em> but </em>they <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3651">aright</strongs>: <strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="5162">repented</strongs>him <strongs number="5921">of</strongs>his <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs>have I <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>? every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs><strongs number="7725">turned</strongs>to his <strongs number="4794">course</strongs>, as the <strongs number="5483">horse</strongs><strongs number="7857">rusheth</strongs>into the <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="1571">Yea</strongs>, the <strongs number="2624">stork</strongs>in the <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs><strongs number="3045">knoweth</strongs>her appointed <strongs number="4150">times</strongs>; and the <strongs number="8449">turtle</strongs>and the <strongs number="5483">crane</strongs>and the <strongs number="5693">swallow</strongs><strongs number="8104">observe</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of their <strongs number="935">coming</strongs>; but my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="349">How</strongs>do ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="587">We</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="2450">wise</strongs>, and the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>us? <strongs number="2009">Lo</strongs>, <strongs number="403">certainly</strongs>in <strongs number="8267">vain</strongs><strongs number="6213">made</strongs>he <em> it </em>; the <strongs number="5842">pen</strongs>of the <strongs number="5608">scribes</strongs><em> is </em>in <strongs number="8267">vain</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>The <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><em> men </em>are <strongs number="954">ashamed</strongs>, they are <strongs number="2865">dismayed</strongs>and <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">lo</strongs>, they have <strongs number="3988">rejected</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; and <strongs number="4100">what</strongs><strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs><em> is </em>in them? </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>will I <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="802">wives</strongs>unto <strongs number="312">others</strongs>, <em> and </em>their <strongs number="7704">fields</strongs>to them that shall <strongs number="3423">inherit</strongs><em> them </em>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 6996">least</strongs>even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1419">greatest</strongs>is given to <strongs number="1214 1215">covetousness</strongs>, from the <strongs number="4480 5030">prophet</strongs>even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs><strongs number="6213">dealeth</strongs><strongs number="8267">falsely</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>For they have <strongs number="7495">healed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7667">hurt</strongs>of the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7043">slightly</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="7965">Peace</strongs>, <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>; when <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Were they <strongs number="954">ashamed</strongs><strongs number="3588">when</strongs>they had <strongs number="6213">committed</strongs><strongs number="8441">abomination</strongs>? <strongs number="1571">nay</strongs>, they were <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>at all <strongs number="954 954">ashamed</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="3045">could</strongs>they <strongs number="3637">blush</strongs>: <strongs number="3651">therefore</strongs>shall they <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>among them that <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>: in the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of their <strongs number="6486">visitation</strongs>they shall be cast <strongs number="3782">down</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>I will surely <strongs number="5486 5486">consume</strongs>them, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: <em> there </em><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="6025">grapes</strongs>on the <strongs number="1612">vine</strongs>, <strongs number="369">nor</strongs><strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>on the fig <strongs number="8384">tree</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5929">leaf</strongs>shall <strongs number="5034">fade</strongs>; and <em> the </em><em> things </em><em> that </em>I have <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>them shall pass <strongs number="5674">away</strongs>from them. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="4100 5921">Why</strongs>do <strongs number="587">we</strongs><strongs number="3427">sit</strongs>still? assemble <strongs number="622">yourselves</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="935">enter</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="4013">defensed</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>, and let us be <strongs number="1826">silent</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath put us to <strongs number="1826">silence</strongs>, and given us <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>of <strongs number="7219">gall</strongs>to <strongs number="8248">drink</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>we have <strongs number="2398">sinned</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>We <strongs number="6960">looked</strongs>for <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>, but <strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs><em> came; </em><em> and </em>for a <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of <strongs number="4832">health</strongs>, and <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs><strongs number="1205">trouble</strongs>! </verse>
      <verse number='16'>The <strongs number="5170">snorting</strongs>of his <strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>was <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1835">Dan</strongs>: the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="7493">trembled</strongs>at the <strongs number="4480 6963">sound</strongs>of the <strongs number="4684">neighing</strongs>of his strong <strongs number="47">ones</strongs>; for they are <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, and have <strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and <strongs number="4393">all</strongs>that is in it; the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, and those that <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>therein. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs><strongs number="5175">serpents</strongs>, <strongs number="6848">cockatrices</strongs>, among you, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> will </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="3908">charmed</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="5391">bite</strongs>you, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><em> When </em>I would <strongs number="4010">comfort</strongs>myself <strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3015">sorrow</strongs>, my <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1742">faint</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="7775">cry</strongs>of the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>because of them that dwell in a <strongs number="4801">far</strongs><strongs number="4480 776">country</strongs>: <em> Is </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>in <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>? <em> is </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>her <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>in her? <strongs number="4069">Why</strongs>have they provoked me to <strongs number="3707">anger</strongs>with their graven <strongs number="6456">images</strongs>, <em> and </em>with <strongs number="5236">strange</strongs><strongs number="1892">vanities</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='20'>The <strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs>is <strongs number="5674">past</strongs>, the <strongs number="7019">summer</strongs>is <strongs number="3615">ended</strongs>, and <strongs number="587">we</strongs>are <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3467">saved</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="5921">For</strongs>the <strongs number="7667">hurt</strongs>of the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>am I <strongs number="7665">hurt</strongs>; I am <strongs number="6937">black</strongs>; <strongs number="8047">astonishment</strongs>hath taken <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>on me. </verse>
