      <verse number='1'>O ye <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="1144">Benjamin</strongs>, gather yourselves to <strongs number="5756">flee</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 7130">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="8628">blow</strongs>the <strongs number="7782">trumpet</strongs>in <strongs number="8620">Tekoa</strongs>, and set <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>a sign of <strongs number="4864">fire</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs><strongs number="1021">Beth</strongs>-haccerem: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="8259">appeareth</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 6828">north</strongs>, and <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7667">destruction</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>I have <strongs number="1819">likened</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>to a <strongs number="5000">comely</strongs>and <strongs number="6026">delicate</strongs><em> woman </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>The <strongs number="7462">shepherds</strongs>with their <strongs number="5739">flocks</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>her; they shall <strongs number="8628">pitch</strongs><em> their </em><strongs number="168">tents</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>; they shall <strongs number="7462">feed</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="854">in</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">place</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="6942">Prepare</strongs>ye <strongs number="4421">war</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her; <strongs number="6965">arise</strongs>, and let us go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>at <strongs number="6672">noon</strongs>. <strongs number="188">Woe</strongs>unto us! <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>goeth <strongs number="6437">away</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="6752">shadows</strongs>of the <strongs number="6153">evening</strongs>are stretched <strongs number="5186">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="6965">Arise</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="5927">go</strongs>by <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs>her <strongs number="759">palaces</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs>hath the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Hew ye <strongs number="3772">down</strongs><strongs number="6097">trees</strongs>, and <strongs number="8210">cast</strongs>a <strongs number="5550">mount</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>: <strongs number="1931">this</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>to be <strongs number="6485">visited</strongs>; she <em> is </em><strongs number="3605">wholly</strongs><strongs number="6233">oppression</strongs>in the <strongs number="7130">midst</strongs>of her. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>As a <strongs number="953">fountain</strongs>casteth <strongs number="6979">out</strongs>her <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>she <strongs number="6979">casteth</strongs>out her <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>: <strongs number="2555">violence</strongs>and <strongs number="7701">spoil</strongs>is <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>in her; <strongs number="5921 6440">before</strongs>me <strongs number="8548">continually</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2483">grief</strongs>and <strongs number="4347">wounds</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Be thou <strongs number="3256">instructed</strongs>, O <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs><strongs number="3363">depart</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>thee; <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>I <strongs number="7760">make</strongs>thee <strongs number="8077">desolate</strongs>, a <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3427">inhabited</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, They shall throughly <strongs number="5953 5953">glean</strongs>the <strongs number="7611">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>as a <strongs number="1612">vine</strongs>: turn <strongs number="7725">back</strongs>thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>as a grape <strongs number="1219">gatherer</strongs><strongs number="5921">into</strongs>the <strongs number="5552">baskets</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="5921">To</strongs><strongs number="4310">whom</strongs>shall I <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs>, and give <strongs number="5749">warning</strongs>, that they may <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>? <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, their <strongs number="241">ear</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="6189">uncircumcised</strongs>, and they <strongs number="3201 3808">cannot</strongs><strongs number="7181">hearken</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">is</strongs>unto them a <strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs>; they have <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="2654">delight</strongs>in it. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Therefore I am <strongs number="4392">full</strongs><strongs number="854">of</strongs>the <strongs number="2534">fury</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; I am <strongs number="3811">weary</strongs>with <strongs number="3557">holding</strongs>in: I will pour it <strongs number="8210">out</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="5768">children</strongs><strongs number="2351">abroad</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="5475">assembly</strongs>of young <strongs number="970">men</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1571">even</strongs>the <strongs number="376">husband</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>shall be <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>, the <strongs number="2205">aged</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs><em> him </em><em> that </em><em> is </em><strongs number="4390">full</strongs>of <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And their <strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>shall be <strongs number="5437">turned</strongs>unto <strongs number="312">others</strongs>, <em> with </em><em> their </em><strongs number="7704">fields</strongs>and <strongs number="802">wives</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I will stretch <strongs number="5186">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 6996">least</strongs>of them even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1419">greatest</strongs>of them every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs><em> is </em>given <strongs number="1214">to</strongs><strongs number="1215">covetousness</strongs>; and from the <strongs number="4480 5030">prophet</strongs>even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs><strongs number="6213">dealeth</strongs><strongs number="8267">falsely</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>They have <strongs number="7495">healed</strongs>also <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7667">hurt</strongs><em> of </em><em> the </em><em> daughter </em>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="5921 7043">slightly</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="7965">Peace</strongs>, <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>; when <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>Were they <strongs number="954">ashamed</strongs><strongs number="3588">when</strongs>they had <strongs number="6213">committed</strongs><strongs number="8441">abomination</strongs>? <strongs number="1571">nay</strongs>, they were <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>at all <strongs number="954 954">ashamed</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="3045">could</strongs>they <strongs number="3637">blush</strongs>: <strongs number="3651">therefore</strongs>they shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>among them that <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>: at the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs><em> that </em>I <strongs number="6485">visit</strongs>them they shall be cast <strongs number="3782">down</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="5975">Stand</strongs>ye <strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>, and <strongs number="7592">ask</strongs>for the <strongs number="5769">old</strongs><strongs number="5410">paths</strongs>, <strongs number="335 2088">where</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="2896">good</strongs><strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>therein, and ye shall <strongs number="4672">find</strongs><strongs number="4771">rest</strongs>for your <strongs number="5315">souls</strongs>.       <verse number='17'>Also I <strongs number="6965">set</strongs><strongs number="6822">watchmen</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>you, <em> saying </em>, <strongs number="7181">Hearken</strongs>to the <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of the <strongs number="7782">trumpet</strongs>. But they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, We will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7181">hearken</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>, ye <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>, and <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>, O <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="834">what</strongs><em> is </em>among them. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>, O <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="595">I</strongs>will <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <em> even </em>the <strongs number="6529">fruit</strongs>of their <strongs number="4284">thoughts</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>they have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7181">hearkened</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>my <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>, nor to my <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>, but <strongs number="3988">rejected</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>To <strongs number="4100">what</strongs><strongs number="2088">purpose</strongs><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs>there to me <strongs number="3828">incense</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 7614">Sheba</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2896">sweet</strongs><strongs number="7070">cane</strongs>from a <strongs number="4801">far</strongs><strongs number="4480 776">country</strongs>? your burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7522">acceptable</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs>your <strongs number="2077">sacrifices</strongs><strongs number="6149">sweet</strongs>unto me. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="5414">lay</strongs><strongs number="4383">stumblingblocks</strongs><strongs number="413">before</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>and the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>shall <strongs number="3782">fall</strongs>upon them; the <strongs number="7934">neighbor</strongs>and his <strongs number="7453">friend</strongs>shall <strongs number="6">perish</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, a <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs>from the <strongs number="6828">north</strongs><strongs number="4480 776">country</strongs>, and a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>shall be <strongs number="5782">raised</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 3411">sides</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>They shall lay <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>on <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>and <strongs number="3591">spear</strongs>; <strongs number="1931">they</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="394">cruel</strongs>, and have <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="7355">mercy</strongs>; their <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs><strongs number="1993">roareth</strongs>like the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>; and they <strongs number="7392">ride</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>, set in <strongs number="6186">array</strongs>as <strongs number="376">men</strongs>for <strongs number="4421">war</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>thee, O <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>We have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8089">fame</strongs>thereof: our <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>wax <strongs number="7503">feeble</strongs>: <strongs number="6869">anguish</strongs>hath taken <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>of us, <em> and </em><strongs number="2427">pain</strongs>, as of a woman in <strongs number="3205">travail</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>Go not <strongs number="408 3318">forth</strongs>into the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>, <strongs number="408">nor</strongs><strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>of the <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="4032">fear</strongs><em> is </em>on every <strongs number="4480 5439">side</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>O <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="2296">gird</strongs><em> thee </em>with <strongs number="8242">sackcloth</strongs>, and wallow <strongs number="6428">thyself</strongs>in <strongs number="665">ashes</strongs>: <strongs number="6213">make</strongs>thee <strongs number="60">mourning</strongs>, <em> as </em><em> for </em>an only <strongs number="3173">son</strongs>, most <strongs number="8563">bitter</strongs><strongs number="4553">lamentation</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="7703">spoiler</strongs>shall <strongs number="6597">suddenly</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>us. </verse>
